“The cottage itself is absolutely lovely, it is so homely and comfortable.”
The kitchen was fab with everything we needed, and the little touches that were left by the owners were so thoughtful. They had left some eggs, a full bottle of milk, wine, Welsh cakes and hot cross buns which were a great touch for Easter. The living room is delightful with the patio doors offering a wonderful view and lots of natural light, and it's very cosy in the evening. We were very comfortable in the double bedroom and there is loads of storage space as well which I haven't found in other places we have stayed. I liked not having to live out of our bags for the whole of our stay! The highlight of this fantastic place though has to be the location and of course the hot tub. The cottage is at the bottom of a lane on the owners farm and is in easy reach of the local village and the nearest town. We even visited Aberystwyth. The back patio of the cottage looks over the owners land where there are sheep roaming freely- when we were there, there were lots of lovely lambs who would come up to the fence to visit! I loved it. It's so quiet and peaceful and the views over the hills and landscape are stunning. That brings me to the hot tub though... even though we had cloudy days and it wasn't as warm as we would have liked it, we sure didn't mind that when we got into that hot tub! It was so much fun and so relaxing. The water in the tub was clean and fresh and the owners visit every morning to check it's okay and there aren't any problems. All in all, my fiancé and I felt very lucky that we discovered this gem of a place for such an affordable price and hope to visit again with family in the future. Thank you both for making our anniversary stay so wonderful!
