Little Beeches

An exceptional cottage with all comforts and parking down a very quiet lane.

Pretty garden too. Great for days out without driving miles.

This is a beautiful, comfortable and well equipped cottage and we were in a way sorry that our schedule at the Newlife conference at the Quinta didn't really allow us to spend more time enjoying it.

Two of us, however, spent a whole day in the cottage and really appreciated it. It was also very convenient for the Quinta conference centre, being less than 3 miles away. We appreciated the beautiful Shropshire countryside and the ability to walk into Wales.

Excellent in every way.

Spotlessly clean, well equipped, comfortable. The garden is spectacular. June and Mark are perfect hosts. We’ll definitely be returning.

Excellent accommodation and lovely hosts - made us most welcome.

We have not long returned from a very enjoyable five night stay at Little Beeches.

The accommodation is as described, clean, well equipped and feels very homely. We now have garden envy too as it was such a beautiful, peaceful space to relax in. Although we were handed our keys on arrival we did not see the owners again, you would not think anyone was living next door as they were so quiet. The photos do not show the bathroom which I did wonder about when I was booking but it was very nice and there was plenty of hot water with good pressure in the shower. We hope to visit again before too long if the cottage is available.

Little Beeches is a beautifully appointed cottage with everything and more you would need for your holiday and spotlessly clean also.

The hosts were warm and welcoming the welcome pack which was a nice touch. The cottage is located in country side around 10 from Oswestry which was perfect for our stay, nice and quite with a few good local pubs for meals and drinks etc. We would happily book again if in the area.

We had such a lovely stay at Little Beeches this Christmas, and really appreciate the effort the host went to in making the place feel festive - it couldn't have been cosier, and was the perfect place to unwind.

Thank you so much!

We had a lovely stay at Little Beeches.

The accommodation is beautiful and very cosy and warm. It is a great base for visiting the surrounding area. The owners kindly left us some lovely treats and the Christmas decorations which had been left up helped make it a very special stay.

Second time staying at Little Beeches.

A beautiful home and very well equipped. Superb hosts. Definitely stay again

Little Beeches is in a quiet area, a short drive from Oswestry, with a fabulous garden.

Upon arrival it was super clean, well presented, roomy, warm and comfortable. Full sized appliances in the kitchen, with plenty of cupboard, surface and floor space. It was easy to relax, comfy sofas and bed. We loved the long corridor/ hallway, we could leave bags, shoes and boots, coats and brollies tidy for the next day. Utility room with washing machine and tumble dryer was very useful. Extra downstairs loo a bonus. June was a warm and welcoming host. The best property we have stayed in by a mile.

A very well-equipped and comfortable cottage.

The owners live next door and are available for any queries, but do not intrude on your space. The garden is shared. Unfortunately, the weather wasn't kind enough for us to take advantage of a stroll around it, but it is a lovely garden - very well-maintained. It is in a good location for access to main roads, so we were able to visit attractions in the area without having to travel too far.

first class place to relax and very thing you could want home from home very comfortable and very clean great place to explore the area.

This was about the best cottage we have rented.

The owners were very pleasant and helpful if we needed them .garden was brilliant and the work to keep it like that was amazing. The whole experience Coul,nt have been better and the weather was perfect.Thank you both. Irene and Ted Davies

A really lovely property that fitted my needs exactly.

The kitchen was well stocked, and I appreciated that there were some sharp knives to cook with. I was very comfortable during my stay and would recommend to others wanting a similar property.

Lovely cottage.

Extremely well equipped, beautifully decorated and very very cosy. It was a delight to stay in. Nice touches of a welcome pack and Christmas decorations. Recommended with a 10/10 rating

We found Little Beaches in Hengoed to be cosy and comfortable for our stay .

Goodies left by the owner much appreciated .The property was very well equipped with quality items in all respects.Ideally situated to visit North Wales and Shropshire.Highly recommended and will visit again.

A wonderfully comfortable and cosy cottage.

You’d never have known Storm Ashleigh was going through outside! A fully equipped kitchen, managed to cook a full Sunday roast chicken. Very comfortable beds. Great location for sightseeing NE Wales and Oswestry area. The host met me at the door with the keys and a quick chat and helped me out with a hire car that decided it hadn’t liked the storm! Would highly recommend

Wonderful little cottage.

Home from home Warm welcome as well. Would definitely recommend

Can't fault the cottage, homely, clean and comfortable.

Lovely area to visit. Thank you

A lovely, clean, comfortable and very well equipped cottage with a gorgeous, immaculate garden.

The hosts, June and Mark, were friendly, welcoming and very helpful. The extra supplies were really appreciated and it was obvious that a lot of thought and care had gone into providing beautiful surroundings and everything that you could possibly need. We had a lovely relaxing three night stay - in fact we enjoyed it so much that we've just booked to stay again for a full week in October.

Clean comfortable cottage Hosts friendly and helpful.

Lovely garden enjoyed our stay

Thanks for a lovely little break.

Great location and perfect for us to visit family in Llangollen over NYE. Beautiful home, very spacious and well equipped, comfortable and super clean. We loved the electric log burners! The owners were really helpful and met us on arrival in the rain so we could get straight into the house - and they even left us some basics and treats in the kitchen!

Beautiful cottage in a peaceful location.

It’s in the middle of nowhere but close to main routes to anywhere you want to go. We had a lovely time!

Very well equipped cottage.

We were not sure which bin was which at the end of the stay so did not put out recycling. The garden was lovely. Very convenient for visiting a number of places.

We have stayed here for several years in a row now.

Always a really great week. House is a home from home, there’s everything needed, beds are comfy, it’s very peaceful and the garden is amazing , thanks as always!

Perfect place to stay.

Perfect location.

lovely peaceful home from home house.

Great property in a quiet peaceful location, well equipped kitchen with everything you need, comfortable bed and lovely lounge with great views of the garden.

Lots of interesting places to visit, all within easy reach. Would definitely recommend.

Excellent venue and very comfortable.

Maybe one point to look at is the cutlery. The quality does not live up to the high specification of the property in general.

Most well equipped holiday cottage ever.

Owners so accommodating.

We loved this cottage.

Well equipped and comfortable. Lovely area to visit.

Beautiful cottage next door to owners who were lovely!

It was very comfortable and clean and the garden was perfect for afternoon tea. The only comment we can make is that the pillows were flat! I always take my own pillow on holiday and my husband said that he would do the same in future. It’s a personal thing though not a criticism! Lovely holiday and so much to do in that area. Our satnav found the cottage and because we knew what it looked like it was no problem.

Excellent property, probably one of the best we've stayed in for facilities and comfort, would highly recommend it to anyone wishing to stay in the area.

Very special place, beautiful cottage, spotless, Thank you June and Mark.

This is the third or fourth time we have stayed at Little Beeches.

Its is the lovliest cottage, clean, comfortable, home from home. the garden is wonderful and its so peaceful. It has everything you need, washer, dryer, diswasher, freezer, comfotable beds, wifi, hosts are fantastic, welcoming kind, friendly, helpful, we're grateful for their accomodation of our various movings around this year. thank you

A lovely cottage in a very convenient location.

It was immaculate throughout with pretty much all you could hope for. My only suggestion for improving it still further would be clearer directions to the cottage, which wouldn't be adequate for anyone without sat nav.

Spacious homely cottage with everything you could need.

Spotlessly clean. Lots to do in the area within a few miles drive. Would recommend to anyone wishing to visit the area.

The property is in a small group of properties and was very quiet and peaceful.

Very well equipped in the kitchen, utility room and very nicely staged and decorated. The host greated me in person which was nice but I couldn't see the lock box for the key. Quick drive to Chirk with some nice restaurants. Road from the A483/ A5 is a little scary as single track. Heating was having some issues but the hosts plan to replace boiler. Wifi cut out occasionally. But positives of the lovely cottage outweighed the negatives.

This is not the first time we stayed here, it’s a lovely cottage with really kind and friendly hosts.

We found bread milk and oj on our arrival. Cottage is well equipped and comfortable with a lovely garden and outdoor seating, would recommend to anyone.

Had a lovely week away in a very clean and lovely cottage.

The owners lived next door and couldn’t have been more welcoming. They had a lovely garden which they were more than happy for you to use. Was very central for exploring the many places we visited in the local area. Would definitely recommend a visit and we would love to go back.

Beautiful house and garden, we really enjoyed our stay.

We didn’t want to go home!

Lovely location, the cottage was very comfortable and warm.

Very friendly owner.

Hengoed is well placed for visiting all around North Shropshire and into Wales, as we often diverted into.

Plus, South Shropshire is in easy reach. We like to travel around and see places, so sitting back and releaxing isn't really what we look for in a holiday cottage. That said, Little Beeches proved perfect for our needs, was not cramped or wanting in any way, and is in a delightfully quiet area. You can sit outsuide on the small stone "decking" and enjoy viewing the owner's pretty garden, and really imagine you are away from it all. Plenty to see and do around the area and we discovered pretty Ellesmere, somewhere we immediately felt we could move to and be happy! A real pleasant find. Little Beeches is recommended.

We would recommend staying at Little Beeches, its a beautiful, comfortable cottage.

It has everything and more that you might need. We would certainly book again.

Spacious and comfortable home to stay in.

A lovely roomy cottage in a very peaceful setting, fully equipped and very clean.

A toilet upstairs and downstairs an added bonus. Lots of care and attention to detail to make it feels like 'Home from Home' Ideal all year around. Lovely gardens. Easy parking outside front door.

We were wondering about staying an extra week and when you sent the email with the £40 off - that clinched it, so we did.

The cottage is beautifully decorated and furnished, and very comfortable.

The hosts welcomed us, left us very useful provisions and could not have been more helpful. The cottage is in a lovely area but convenient for Oswestry and the A5 which will take you to many interesting places. We would highly recommend it and would certainly go back.

Very well equipped cottage in a quiet rural location.

Very helpful and pleasant owners next door - milk and bread waiting on arrival!

Excellent holiday cottage made most welcome felt warm and homely

We would have no hesitation in returning to this lovely cottage.

It is a credit to June & Mark. The interior décor of the cottage was excellent and a pleasure to come back to after our days walking the many paths in the Oswestry area. We gave the Cottage top marks on all aspects. Gordon & Pat

Excellant accommodation.

We spent a lovely week staying at beeches whilst visiting our daughter and son-in-law.Hi-lights of the stay were watching the air balloons floating across from Oswestry towards beeches, and landing in the field next door! Also our visits to llangollen and lake Vyrnwy, a must when visiting this area.

The instructions given to locate this cottage are very vague.

We had to ask several properties in the area before we found someone who new Little Beeches. I would suggest a map would be very helpful--we do not have sat nav. Also the owners of the cottage could help by providing a map of the immediate area to help getting in and out of the village. Road signs are not clear and rare.

Best cottage we have stayed in to date ,very clean and comfortable.

Little Beeches is a fantastic cottage in a lovely area.

The cottage is very well equipped and exceptionally clean. The owners are very welcoming. Very relaxing stay.

This place was perfect it had everything you needed plus some

could not fault accommodation or welcome by owners

It was a beautiful cottage, with everything we needed, and a lovely location.

The owners must be very proud of the effort they have made with this property to make it like home from home.

Lovely cottage equipped to a high standard with very welcoming hosts.

a very lovely comfy cosy cottage peaceful location yet not far from so many nice places [chirk castle, llangollen, oswestry] very well equipped with lovely owners.

the only thing that would have helped would be a list of local amenities i.e shop ,garage, pubs etc. would definately go again

Received a very warm welcome from the owners of the cottage, who had left milk and bread for us so that we brew up as soon as we had arrived.

The cottage was very well equipped with everything one would hope to find …. and much more. Beds were lovely and comfortable, plenty of towels. Free WiFi. TV also had Netflix. Beautiful garden. It is well situated. Only a few miles from Llangollen and Chester. Chirk Castle is only 3 miles from the cottage and well worth a visit. We also visited Lake Vyrnwy Nature Reserve and Trentham Gardens and Monkey Forrest. The Fantastic Fun House in Oswestry is great for the kids. Overall an exceptionally good place to stay. Many thanks to Mark and June (owners). Dave, Sandra and Hollie

Little Beeches is beautifully-appointed and well-equipped and the beds were very comfy!

! Our hosts were very friendly and helpful. The garden is really beautiful and a lovely placed to sit out! A great stay! Thank you!

Lovely garden and nice friendly owners, we were very comfortable and relaxed.

Cottage met all our needs, the owners made sure we had everything we needed

Nice house, good stay!

I’m satisfied also with Sykes: wide range of properties, quick and easy booking.

This is a really delightful cottage so well presented with every comfort you need and spotlessly clean.

We visited in January so it was very cold but the added electric wood effect fires in the living room and the main bedroom made it all so cosy. The beds were very comfortable with beautiful bed linen. The kitchen was so well equipped we could have stayed there for months and the welcome pack of wine, chocolates milk and eggs and juice in the fridge was a lovely gesture. Mike and June were so helpful and friendly too. We are definitely returning in the warmer weather to enjoy all the lovely walks in the beautiful countryside. There is also an attractive big back garden where one can sit out with access through the French doors in the sitting room. I would thoroughly recommend this cottage.
