A lovely comfortable cottage, spotlessly clean.

Everything of a very good quality. Charming welcome from the owner. The enclosed garden around the cottage was very safe for my little dog, and I made use of the patio furniture for a pleasant cup of tea. Lovely view from the picture window upstairs, which also kept my terrier occupied

Our second stay in this lovely cottage.

Well equipped, very comfortable bed, beautiful shower room and pretty countryside views from the first floor sitting room window. Having the bedroom downstairs was a godsend in the recent very hot weather as it stayed nice and cool. Excellently situated in a quiet village but near enough to Oswestry for any shopping you might need and close to the Welsh border where we visited the Llangollen heritage railway and Pontcysyllte Aqueduct, both highly recommended. The perfect place to stay in our opinion

We had a wonderful week staying at The Tractor Shed.

A quiet and peaceful spot but with so much to do within an hour's radius - four National Trust properties, many walking trails, the Ironworks, Llangollen railway, pubs, and much more. The house is very well equipped, the bed is comfortable, a spacious bathroom with a great shower, an airy sitting room, and a little sunny courtyard. Welcoming and friendly owners. We plan to stay again next year.

Fabulous property which was easy to find following the directions.

When we arrived there was a lovely homemade cake which was a lovely surprise. The property has everything you need and has been finished to a very high standard so I can see why you have your Sykes gold award. Such a lovely homely feel to the place we felt very relaxed. The only thing I would mention which is noted in the property description are the stairs as they are wooden and can be slippery not just to our dog but to us aswell. I would definitely return and recommend The Tractor shed without a second thought.

The surrounding area is lovely, we very much enjoyed visiting Llangollen and a trip on the Heritage Railway there, Pontcysyllte Aqueduct, Chirk, the Sabrina boat in Shrewsbury and Ironbridge to name just a few. The cottage is well equipped with everything you need for a great holiday, comfortable bed, extremely nice bathroom, beautiful views from the first floor living room and very friendly and helpful owners. We hope to return one day and wouldn't hesitate to recommend it for a peaceful and relaxing holiday

We loved The Tractor Shed.

Finished to a lovely standard and, for us, the place just 'worked'. And so peaceful too. My only request would be that a hint for us townies about where we might have been able to let our dog off the lead to give him a run about. Just a thought. Otherwise, just keep on doing what you are doing. It works ever so well.

The Tractor Shed is just idyllic as a bolt hole to ‘escape to the country’.

It provides an exemplary high level quality in the world of cottages and staycations. Attention to detail (home-made cake and fresh eggs on arrival) is most welcoming after your journey. The location is so convenient, allowing one to hop back and forth across the Welsh border and visit an array of places of interest, all within a 30-40 minutes drive. The hosts Rob and Nicola couldn’t be more hospitable… all in all a great stay that warrants a return visit… we have already recommended it to a couple of friends!

We throughly enjoyed our brief countryside break. Everything was perfect and as described. Can highly recommend The Cross Keys for Sunday Lunch - but do book! The Shropshire Breakfast offering by the hosts was also a nice touch; the apple juice was amazing. Thanks again and will return for our next Shropshire stay.

Our 3rd New Year stay at The Tractor Shed and we had a great time as ever.

It's a wonderful quiet place, so peaceful with the great pub - The Cross Keys, at nearby Kinnerley. The facilities are perfect for us, especially the upstairs living room which is so cosy!

Lovely comfortable property we felt so at home as soon as we arrived, everything was lovely and clean and the property was nice and warm all day long.

If you want peace and quiet then this is the place to go for it.

We've now stayed 3 times at The Tractor Shed and would highly recommend.

All the small details from fresh eggs and cake to welcome us to the modern clean accommodation. Everything you need is provided (obviously apart from you personal items, toiletries etc). You don’t need to pack your hairdryer there is one in the bedroom draw. I can’t fault or suggest any improvement. We would love to go back one day. Highly recommend

We were greeted by our friendly hosts and two pieces of homemade Victoria sponge cake, which were delicious. The property is immaculately clean and tastefully decorated. Great base to visit Shrewsbury, Oswestry and Ludlow. Would fully 100% recommend the Tractor Shed.

Nichola greeted us on arrival and the home made pieces of cake were a lovely touch. The Tractor Shed is beautifully presented and immaculately clean. The bedroom and bathroom were downstairs which stayed lovely and cool as we were there in the hottest week of the year. The bed was extremely comfortable We visited Nesscliffe whilst there which is a lovely woodland area which our golden retriever loved to keep cool . We love the area (especially The Cross Keys pub) which serves a fantastic Sunday lunch and is dog friendly. Another fantastic stay and I don't doubt we will be back.

Beautifully equipped holiday let with everything you could need and more.

Immaculate condition and very clean. Beautiful, quiet, peaceful place. Nichola was very helpful and ensured we were happy with everything on offer. Optional breakfast package was definitely worth the money. We bough extra eggs and would have happily paid for some more of the excellent home made Seville Marmalade to bring home. Weather was damp/wet, but we found plenty of places to visit by car. We loved Much Wenlock and Shrewsbury. Have already recommended to friends.

Very clean and well maintained, you felt you were the first person to stay there. Eggs from the owners hens and cake waiting on your arrival was a lovely touch. Would definitely recommend and come back for another break.

We had such a lovely long weekend at The Tractor Shed recently.

We stayed as a couple with our Whippet & everything we could have wanted or needed was provided. The property was spotlessly clean, cosy & inviting plus it’s in a really pretty & rural location. The lounge was so relaxing of an evening after our days out walking & visiting beautiful Shropshire. We slept so well & just totally relaxed. We spent 7 days at the tractor shed and it could not have been any better.

It is a absolute credit to the owners and nothing was overlooked. We have many cottage holidays each year and the tractor shed is up as one of the best. It's location is great and very peaceful and relaxed. There is nothing that can be done to improve this little gem and there is no doubt that we will be returning. Some cottages we have rented for just 2 people when we have arrived have been so small but this certainly is not the case here. The cake and eggs and milk were lovely on arrival . This was the 3rd Sykes property we’d stayed in and like the others was furnished and decorated to a high standard.

We had two nice pieces of cake to welcome us and that set the tone for an enjoyable stay. The Tractor Shed was equipped with all the necessary things we needed for a comfortable 3 night stay. The location is quiet and very peaceful, and a good base for exploring North West Shropshire.

We had a lovely Christmas at the Tractor Shed, a well appointed cottage with the local pub a short walk away.

The cottage is lovely, modern, clean and very comfortable. Facilities are superb , heating, showers, wifi etc. Great location for relaxing. The area is peaceful and easily accessible from the A5. Would recommend the local pub, the Cross Keys in Kinnerley - excellent food. Plenty of places to visit within easy reach - Ellesmere, Whittington, Llangollen. Thank you for such a lovely week.

We booked The Tractor Shed for a short Autumnal break in the beautiful Shropshire countryside to enjoy long walks with our dog.

Fabulous location with parking on site and so peaceful. Immaculate accommodation throughout and a super comfy king size bed in a delightful downstairs bedroom with amazing beans ! Thank you Nichola we really enjoyed our stay and for the delicious cake you left us which we managed to eat outside on the tiny patio in the sunshine on arrival.

What a lovely cosy cottage.

The photos do not do it justice. Large comfortable bed and a very spacious shower room. Light and airy, lounge with a good sized TV. Unfortunately our weather was a bit mixed but plenty to do in the area. Llangollen is particularly picturesque and i would recommend a barge trip over the pontcysyllte aqueduct which was the highlight (pun not intended) for us.

We had a super week at the Tractor Barn, it was so peaceful and p,entry of places to visit.

The surroundings were very clean and tidy and the owners very pleasant. The Shed had everything we needed for the week, the bed was so comfortable and beautiful bedding, the bathroom was great with the lovely walk in shower. The only thing we think would make things even more comfortable is the settee needs to have maybe new foam in the cushions. We loved our stay and hope to go back sometime.

The cottage was spacious, comfortable, very clean and perfect for a relaxing break.

Our hosts were on hand and very helpful when we had questions that needed answers. The only thing that I would have liked would have been a blind on the door window to the outside.

The Tractor Shed is possibly the best self catering accommodation we have ever stayed in.

Its first class in every respect.I think it says everything when we say we will definitely be going back.Love the surrounding area and a lovely pub in the village. Can't wait to return.

We have stayed now at several Sykes managed cottages, all of which have been a pleasure in every way.

Tractor Cottage however was the best in every way and we would highly recommend it to everyone. The comfort and overall high quality of this accommodation was exceptional. The car charger facility was a bonus. The location was ideal for travels within both Shropshire and this area of Wales.

Small (not poky), but perfectly formed. Spotlessly clean and tastefully furnished. Comfortable beds, lovely shower room, relaxing upstairs sitting room and all mod cons in the kitchen, what more could you ask? Oh yes, the EV charger - a necessity for us and right outside the front door. Perfect!

Would recommend arriving in daylight as very difficult to find in the dark with no street lights to use landmarks mentioned in directions! Also, if using What3Words we got taken to a different location entirely using the information listed on Sykes website (several miles away!)

Blissful stay in a beautifully converted old building that is full of character.

My wife and I enjoyed a fortnight, alternating days exploring Shropshire with days totally relaxing in The Tractor Shed and strolling along the quiet country lanes. We can thoroughly recommend booking your holiday in this lovely property.

Nicola and Rob were on hand to help if needed but we were OK. Not far to travel to places of interest, the village is in walking distance. A must to see is Malverley Church nearby. Nicola's farm eggs are the best!

This was our 2nd relaxing visit to this lovely, comfortable cottage for 2 (+ dog) in an ideal place for exploring North Shropshire and into Wales.

The facilities are first class and the owners are very welcoming.

The on site Type 2 charger for our electric E-Niro was easy to use and charged the car well. Very quiet location and easy to get to all the key places (Chirk Castle, Shrewsbury, Attingham Park, Powis Castle etc.) Highly recommended and we will return!

We had a very enjoyable stay, although for us upside down living was not always convenient.

We were very pleased with the milk, cake and eggs and enjoyed them immensely. We would say that a black out blind would be beneficial in the bedroom as the sun comes through really early. The window by the bathroom could also do with frosting as you have to remember to robe on exit. These are just observations however and did not hamper our stay.

We had a fabulous stay at the Tractor Shed.

The accommodation deserves a 5* rating. It is tastefully decorated and was immaculately clean just as the photos show. The personal touches of fresh eggs and cake as well the necessary toiletries and kitchen products were such a bonus. We will definitely return as there is still lots to explore in the area. The Cross Keys pub in the village gave a warm welcome and serves very good food.

A lovely little cottage which is like a tardis - is much bigger inside than it looks from the outside.

The owners were very helpful when a small problem arose and the cake, milk and eggs were very welcome when I arrived. I'd love to come again - hopefully in better weather, but it was good to know I was coming back to a warm cosy cottage each day on this visit!

The Tractor Shed is an extremely well thought out and executed conversion of an old farm building.

They owners have created a comfortable, warm and welcoming place to stay. The building looks small but once inside it opens up into spacious rooms with lots of character. Very comfortable and well equipped. Lovely rural location with plenty to do and see around you. We will definitely return as we barely scratched the surface of the places to visit and wouldn’t consider staying anywhere else!

Me and my partner stayed here for 1 week and we wish the holiday lasted longer.

The tractor shed was beautiful, very cosy and inviting. All of the facilities were perfect, the bed was big and comfortable, the garden and gated gravel area was safe for our dog and over all a 5 star holiday, we would definitely stay here again and we can't recommend it enough. We didn't manage to see the owners but spoke to them on WhatsApp and they were very friendly and helpful. One caution is the slippery wooden stairs for dogs, perhaps a runner to make it less slippy? We do not feel as we can complain about this because this was clearly stated by owners prior to booking and is manageble with monitoring

It was a perfect stay for us over the new year period.

The Tractor Shed is the best holiday cottage we have ever stayed in The conversion is off the highest standard.

The layout is excellent and a great deal of thought has been given to make the cottage as convenient as possible.

We had a very enjoyable stay at the Tractor Shed, Its position near the Welsh border and The Dee valley is great and only 15-30 mins away from Shrewsbury, Church Stretton, Llangollen, Welshpool amongst lots of other tourist attractions.

The cottage was really well equipped, great secure parking and we arrived to home baked cake and free range eggs! Loved the coffee maker and the shower room was great, the kitchen supplied everything we needed the only things we would add are a drainer for the crockery and a larger stand alone bin. The mattress and pillows were too firm for us but that is a personal preference, the only 2 negatives were we feel it could benefit from a larger comfier sofa to relax on which was a shame as everything else was top quality and really well maintained. Our dog did struggle with the shiny wooden staircase as it was quite slippy on his furry paws maybe a central carpet stair runner would solve this issue. Overall an excellent place to stay, charming features, picturesque setting and lovely hosts. Highly recommended!

Lacks nothing and is spotlessly clean. Ideal for a quiet break for a couple or single person. The EV charger is a great asset and should be available in all Sykes cottages.

The Tractor Shed is beautifully presented and has everything you need, including an electric socket for the car, very forward thinking! The addition of the Breakfast Box was a real treat and a perfect way to start the day. We hope to return sometime as there are lots of places we didn’t get to see first time around.

Rob and Nichola were very welcoming. The cottage is very comfortable and we enjoyed using the tennis court . It was also great having the charging point for the car. We played golf and visited the local pub. We would definitely like to return and would highly recommend a stay here.

The Tractor shed is in the village of Kinnerley which as a really good dining pub called the Cross Keys. Very welcoming and the food is excellent. Can recommend the Sunday lunch. There is also a village shop . Really enjoyed our stay and would definitely recommend it.

Excellent 4 night break at the start of lockdown easing.

The cottage was perfect for two + one dog and was decorated and fitted out to a very high standard. Local village was a short walk down the country lanes with a lovely welcoming pub. Some great walking nearby and Welsh hills only a short drive away. Shame we didnt get to meet anyone from the owners house but Im sure we will next time as we will be back !! The tractor shed was brilliant.

Really well finished, great facilities and really warm and cosy. We couldn't have asked for more. We will definitely be back! The cake and eggs are a really nice touch too

I have high expectations of Sykes based on past experience and the Tractor Shed met and exceeded expectations.

Extremely well equipped, helpful and pleasant owners, well situated for country walks and access to local places of interest. I would certainly stay here again.

The converted tractor shed was equipped with all the appliances and utensils you'd need for a week away.

We were able to easily cook meals and sit outside at the garden table, to enjoy the last of the Summer sunshine. We have two bits of feedback: 1. Waste bins - we didn't realise that the dustbin outside the property were only to be used for recycling. We were told on two separate occasions, on the same day, how the bins should be used. When I apologised for not using it correctly, I was told it was in the handbook. This did make me felt slightly uncomfortable. Who reads the handbooks cover to cover when they arrive? In future, I'd suggest two outside dustbins; one for recycling and one for general waste and to label them to prevent any confusion. 2. Dogs - we absolutely love dogs and the owners have two beautiful black labradors, who roam free in the grounds. The dogs barked and growled at us throughout the week and stood at our gate most the time. As soon as you open the front door they started barking. If you're not a dog lover or have a fear of dogs, this could be off-putting. Especially as there's no mention of it in the listing. I'm sure if you're only planning to be there at night and early in the morning it wouldn't be too much of a problem. That aside, the cottage itself is very nice and the location is brilliant. A 5 minute walk down the road to see the cows and 20 minute walk to The Cross Keys pub who do a brilliant roast pork! There's also a lovely restaurant called The Townhouse in Oswestry, which has a great beer garden and has beautiful decor inside.

Have booked with Sykes before but found this place to be of a higher standard than usual, perhaps because it is fairly new.

We can't fault it really. We had everything we needed and the owners were very friendly and helpful.

The Tractor Shed is a little gem.

Amongst one of the very best at which we have stayed during our many years of cottage holidays. Situated in a peaceful location and close to a lovely dog-friendly pub serving excellent food. Would highly recommend.

Sykes cottages certainly promoted this cottage in a inviting way. Everything was spot on. Would love to go back again. Can also recommend the village pub in Kinnerley,minutes from the cottage.Lovely friendly place with delicious food.

The Tractor Shed is a very well executed conversion, all done to the highest quality.

Everything was very clean and we even had an email before arrival telling us the extra steps the owner is taking due to the virus. The property was more spacious than we had expected, the bed was very comfortable (as good as at home) and the shower superb (much better than at home!). It was very well placed to visit many attractions in Shropshire and into Wales. The local pub in the village (remember those?) was also excellent, very friendly and serving a super Sunday roast.

The cottage was very well appointed and comfortable.

Storm Chiara raged outside and we were very cosy within. We enjoyed the layout and the fact that the lounge was upstairs and we could weather watch in comfort. In between the rain we went out and it is situated very conveniently for days trips.

We absolutely loved our holiday and will definitely be returning to the tractor shed!

What an amazing property, certainly the best one we have stayed in.

Really tastefully done with everything you could need. Nice base to explore from but equally we didn't mind being rained in a couple of days as the property was lovely for relaxing in. Really nice touch to arrive and find cake and excellent free range eggs provided Would highly recommend this property and we will go back.

The accomadation was excellent,The surroundings were excellent.

First class facilities, beautifully done and everything you needed and more. The owners very friendly and helpful ensuring your stay was a pleasant one.

What a fantastic cottage.

We have done many stays in similar properties over the last few years but this was the best! Recently converted to an extremely high standard throughout. Nothing could improve this property and you go without nothing. Great WiFi and having a smart TV in the lounge enabled us to login to our Amazon and Netflix in the evenings. Did lots of exploring of the area. Thanks Nichola and Rob, you have done an amazing job and we most certainly will return.

Well done to Ron and Nichola for creating this super little cottage, they have put a lot of effort into making it a very pleasant and relaxing place to visit.

A delightful cottage with very high quality accommodation

Excellent accommodation, most helpful owners surrounding areas worth visiting, a most enjoyable holiday.

We had a fantastic time at The Tractor Shed, it was beautifully furnished and very clean and smart.

It was in a very nice, rural location and we enjoyed morning runs and evening walks around the country lanes. We enjoyed walking up local Rodney’s Pillar and a little further afield in the Shropshire hills.

Excellent holiday cottage finished to a very high standard.

Superb location for exploring local historic market towns and close to the Welsh border giving plenty of options for days out. Warm welcome on arrival and would definitely recommend The Tractor Shed.
