  • "We had a lovely time."

The views were fabulous and the bungalow had everything we needed for a lovely break. The hot tub and garden provided plenty of entertainment for the whole family. We would highly recommend this property to anyone looking for a quiet break away from your busy life.

  • "Comfortable stay once some problems had been ironed out."

Wi fi was non -existent which is now sorted out. Would advise anyone to take a rubber bath mat as the bath only has held hand shower and anyone with difficulties like myself would find it hard to use. Very tranquil atmosphere and birds were lovely to look at including friendly grouse who came and stared at us through the dining room door which proved hilarious. Owners very helpful, kitchen well equipped and will be booking again later in year.

Thank you for your lovely comments and glad you enjoyed your stay. With regard to the Wi fi the hub had a fault and as soon as we were notified from the guests the engineer came and the problem was immediately resolved. Hope to see you again in the future. Property Owner

  • "The bungalow was perfect."

From the moment we arrived we were taken back by the stunning views. The bungalow had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. It was the perfect place to relax, my children loved the swings and slide and the hot tub was a welcomed addition after a busy day exploring. I’d recommend a trip to Gigrin kite farm to watch the kites being fed. Thank you so much for a lovely week, we will definitely be back!

We enjoyed the hot tub whilst taking in the beautiful scenery. We ventured out for a few days Elan Valley Dams are a must. The bungalow itself was spacious, clean, well kept and the owners were very friendly and polite. Would highly recommend for families or couples alike.

Plenty of lovely places to visit not to far way. We were quite happy to sit in the garden with the sun shining or relaxing in the hot tub with a glass of wine.Hot tub is cleaned every morning by the lovely friendly owner. The inside of the property is very clean and cosy, the double bed in the front bedroom is so comfortable and cosy, I have never slept so well. There is a good community shop just a short distance away if you don't want to venture far and they stock all the main essentials amongst lots of other lovely local produce at a fair price. The bacon is the best we have ever had from anywhere. The locals are so pleasant and friendly had a lovely chat with the farmer who was tending to the sheep who were regular visitors to the field next to us.The red kites were a joy to watch. We had the most wonderful and relaxing week did not want to leave. We will definitely back again soon. Thanks to sykes cottages also for their great correspondence Throughout!!

  • "Location of the bungalow was exceptional."

Sitting in the hot tub with the spectacular views was most defanitly the biggest highlight. The cottage itself was extremely well kitted out the kitchen ect. Noticed there were some comments about no stand up shower. But was absolutely fine have a sit down shower. As a small price to pay for this lovely gem of a place. We tend to only go places the once. To try different places. But will deffo be making an exception on returning to this place because was such a great place and the surroundings where all spot on

  • "Lovely location, beds were comfortable, exactly as pictures showed enjoyed the break the only downside if I'm being picky there was only 2 plates to eat off and there were 4 adults and a baby so we had to buy a couple ."

.however pubs close to were closed and the other one was not doing good, but there is a lovely chippy on the main road in llandrindod wells about 15 minute drive away .

Thank you very much for your lovely comments. I would like to add that there are 8 dinner plates which are located in the base kitchen cupboard next to the sink and 8 tea plates located in the island of the kitchen. Property Owner

  • "Great location, situated on a farm with nice valley views."

Property was very good with everything you needed. However, a stand up shower would have made it even been better. If your looking for a place for a peaceful relaxing break, this is it. Would stay here again.

  • "Warm cosy cottage in the perfect location!"

So quiet and relaxing. The little playground and the hot tub are great. Stunning views from the kitchen and overall. One week is not enough to exlore all the sightseeings - there are so many great places to go to (Elan Valley dams, Snowdonia, Brecon Beacons, Shropshire, Break-its-neck waterfall). Would love to come back!

Only grumble is a house of this standard ought to have a dishwasher and there wasn't much cutlery or crockery so we were constantly washing up. Otherwise a great stay and somewhere we would definitely consider again.

  • "The bungalow is lovely."

its fairly isolated, up a little track past a farm, although the shepherds hut which is also available to rent, is just over the garden hedge, this was unoccupied on our visit, so our privacy wasn't disturbed. The views sre great, and its very peaceful. The owner/manager popped by with additional bedding and was polite and friendly. There is pretty much everything you need here. A well equiped kitchen - with probably a few too many oven/serving dishes in the cupboards! Comfortable dining area with double doors out to the garden and double doors into the lounge. Its a cosy lounge with a small TV and lovely log burner, the back of the settee tilts for comfort (I'm writing this because at first when it dropped down we thought we'd broken it) The bed in the double is quite soft and the other mattresses in the family room sag a little, and the pillows are quite firm. I think several people mentioned the lack of shower. The handheld shower head and hose in the bath is fine, my husband ings nearly 6ft and was able to shower and wash his hair without any problems. We loved the hot tub, which was very clean warm and had a couple of steps to get into it. However the cover is difficult to get off as the mechanism to lift it was broken and not attached. If you have back problems this will be a challenge unless it's repaired. There are a lot of guide books(!) and info about places to visit, some include South Wales and further afield. Locally we enjoyed the Kite feeding station, Elan valley reservoirs, and a walk around Break your neck waterfall (yes, that's what its called!) There's also a nature reserve not far and Rhayader is pleasant to visit. The small community shop just 2 minutes down the road has lots of yummy cakes, reasonable prices logs, those bits and bobs you need and friendly staff.

  • "I wouldn't recommend this bungalow for anyone with a disability."

To use the shower means having to stand in the bath and there are no grab it handrails for security. Other than that the bungalow is in a beautiful location with sheep and cows outside the windows.
