  • "Lovely cottage and very peaceful."

Only one comment. Would have liked more crockery and cutlery. Dishwasher (only half full) had to be used everyday as we ran out of plates and bowls. Everything else was great. Aberdaron is a lovely village.

  • "We had a very enjoyable stay."

The property is well appointed, and in an ideal situation for walking, and days out. Thank you to the owners for a clean and tidy property. 10/10.

Views over sea and hills. Well away from all other houses so excellent if you want to get away from everything. Great place, have stayed there twice now. Lots of things provided

  • "What a lovely cottage in a superb setting!"

Quiet and peaceful but walking/running distance from the village of Aberdaron, where you can find everything you need! The cottage is well equipped, comfortable, and spacious, towels and bedding provided making it so much easier and great to arrive to made up beds! Very friendly hosts, easy check in and check out. We wanted for nothing. Great for families, friends or a couple.

  • "Elen and Colin were very helpful and friendly."

Their cottage was everything you could wish for including spectacular views and an ideal location for accessing the north and south coasts and coastal paths of the Llŷn peninsula

  • "Good location, nice view, quiet and peaceful (apart from sheep & cows!"

). Cottage sympathetically updated, while still utilising part of the original stone building. Well worth the long drive:-)

  • "Another lovely stay at Ty Hen."

Extra Covid precautions (no books/dvds/ loose cushions) and plenty of hand gel and paper towel were no problem. We've stayed here many times over the last 12 years and plan to come again! One suggestion would be less china and glass and more plastic for hot and cold drinks.

  • "This beautiful, spacious cottage was absolutely spotless on arrival."

Its rural location was the perfect place to unwind and relax. It is only about a 5 minute drive away from our favourite beach, Whistling Sands. We'd highly recommend this cottage if you're looking for somewhere to escape from it all.

  • "A traditional cottage, refurbished comfortably and in a very peaceful and rural setting, with great views to the coast."

There are no street lights and great all round viewing so perfect for stargazers. Its a great base for walking, wildlife and relaxation.

  • "Ty Hen is situated in the perfect location away from it all for a stress free holiday."

As a couple we found everything appealing and once we arrived we didn't want to come home.

  • "Beautiful location, lovely cottage with loads of room and well equipped kitchen."

Sadly we found the beds so uncomfortable that after 4 nights of no sleep we decided to cut our holiday short . Also the cottage had areas that smelt like a Tom cat had got in and left it’s scent which is something I found irritating.

Many thanks for you feedback. All the issues have been resolved. The mattresses were purchased before the new season in March 2019. There is no concerns to be worried in the review as the smell has also been investigated. Property Owner

  • "This cottage is everything you need to spend a relaxing holiday, the views and scenery are stunning and you get to see the most beautiful sunrises right in front of your bed."

The house is clean and well equipped with good facilities/entertainment(improvements required listed at the end of the review), it accommodates 5 people nicely although you might want to notice that there is only one double bed. There is a well laid out and clean garden square as well for the kids to play and the cute lambs grazing in front of the cottage are a real treat to watch. If you are interested you could even hike a little mountain on the back of the cottage to get some stunning views of the sea and amazing sunset too over the sea. This is a bit far from the snowdonia park(an hour ish drive) but a lovely place to stay if you love to explore coastal places/ beaches and would not mind driving to other places. beaches are just <2 miles drive and pubs/shop too. Can park upto 3-4 cars easily A welcome pack would have been more appreciated as we missed to buy milk and ended up not getting one due to the early closing hours Also the shower stopped working (at no ones fault) as the switch is a bit unusual but clear instructions would be helpful Cooking utensils are sufficient but need more pans as we ended up doing stuff in sequence as there was only on pan!(plenty of pots though) Some basics like salt.spices would be nice

Lots of parking space and only 5 mins from glorious beaches, coastal path, shop and pubs. Our children loved feeding the cows in the next field with grass.

This cottage was lovely so spacious and very well equipped you couldn't ask for a nicer place to stay.Just make sure you have torches with you we had a couple of power cuts. If you are energetic climb the hill at the back of the cottage for the wow factor of views.
