Bathroom needs handle on wall to assist getting on and out.

Parking needs to be formalised as to who is entitled to park and parking on the double lines outside needs enforcing. Warning of the step into the house and the awkwardness of the stairs needs to be mentioned. In all a very pleasant and convenient place.

We had a nice stay; however, I would like to give some feedback, as the overall property requires some updating.

For example, there was damp on the walls and paint chipping in several areas. The bathroom blind needs to be replaced with a blackout blind, and the kitchen bin has seen better days and should be replaced. There is no parking outside, and this should be removed from the house information. If you are lucky enough to find a space, it is only suitable for two small cars. We received a letter from the hotel opposite complaining when we parked there. We were also surprised not to see a welcome pack on arrival. A small gesture after a long journey, such as milk and biscuits, would have been appreciated. The area is a beautiful location, and with some small improvements, the property would be worth the money we paid.

Front door step very high for some one like my self who has mobility problems.

Front door lock was not working properly and was nearly locked out of cottage on new years eve. Help line number supplied we where informed was out of date and not the right one. Bath was not very clean (hairs in bath). Kitchen had no heating and was very cold to work in. Also pans where not very clean. We also noticed there were dozens of unopen letters mostly bills in the draws down stairs. In the main bedroom there was no mattress cover on the double bed and the curtains in both bedrooms had rips in them as did the cushions on the chairs down stairs. I have stayed in a couple of cottages in Beaumoris before and have been very happy with them but this one I wouldn't want to stay in this one again.

Parking an issue, house very cosy & well presented.

Kitchen needs a radiator. We enjoyed our stay and hopefully re-book next year.

Really nice property in an excellent central location.

Spotlessly clean with good kitchen and brand new bathroom. Nice furnishings. Parking is an issue - don’t rely on the alleyway next to the property as random cars use it. Parking spaces in streets nearby can usually be found or on the front.

Lovely cottage in an ideal location both for Beaumaris and visiting surrounding area.

Just off the main shopping street yet in a quiet lane. Parking was not guaranteed but I managed to park outside each day, but would imagine a bit more troublesome in peak times. There is long stay overnight parking on the beachfront just a couple of minutes walk away. Dog friendly accommodation and garden. A ‘must’ is a visit to the bakery a couple of doors away.

The property has everything you need for your holiday the only downside side for us was the parking as the alleyway at the side was always full off cars and everywhere around is yellow lines and to park on the green was7.

This is our second visit to this property within a year.

The house is very clean in a great location. Lovely bathroom. Plenty of hot water but the heating comes on when you switch the hot water on, even when heating is turned off, making the house too hot. Plenty of crockery, pans have seen better days. Some basic resources such as washing up liquid, dish cloth, toilet cleaner, hand soap and toilet roll would have been welcome. You need to either bring your own or make the local Spar your first stop. Last time we visited a lovely welcome pack was waiting for us but not this time. We were pleased to see the courtyard had been cleaned up and is pleasant. We couldn't get parked near the house or in the adjacent ally but managed to park a short walk away each time. The bed and sofa are comfortable, unfortunately the tub chairs are very uncomfortable, making it difficult to relax on an evening. A nice little house which could be more comfortable with a few tweaks.

Excellent house, plenty of room and all the essentials were included.

Less than a minutes walk to the see front and close to all shops, bars, pubs and restaurants. Will definitely stay again.

Nice cottage in excellent location, everything provided that you would need.

We found the cottage to be outdated and in need of nicer furnishings and an extra sofa is desperately needed as the tub chairs provided are not very comfortable. Warm and clean enough with plenty of hot water.Parking not a problem when we visited.

Fabulous stay in Beaumaris for a few days between Christmas and New Year.

Clean and well equipped cottage with everything you need and in a really convenient location very close to the waterfront. Added bonus that the main car park was free of charge over the holidays. Plenty of places to eat out and local fish and chips were lovely. Visits to Newborough forest and beach and Benllech both short car journeys and well worth the trip out. Would definitely stay here again.

Wrong WiFi password in your book needs to be changed

Positives: Great location.

Great space for 3 people and the dogs. Negatives: No ability to have a shower or bath for two nights and no compensation offered. The soil pipe from the bathroom is leaking by the back door. The WiFi code in the information pack is wrong. Sykes Cottages are the worst booking agent I’ve had to deal with (and I’m also a holiday cottage landllady). I’m mightily pleased my agents are 7000% better than Sykes.

Lovely cottage located centrally in Beaumaris.

We enjoyed the extra space in the bedroom, lounge and kitchen. The footage was very tidy and we appreciated the bottle of wine!

Strong smell of damp as soon as you open the front door, damp stains on wall in main bedroom and by dining room window, paint peeling by front door, wallpaper peeling by sofa in living room, mould on window in dining room.

Could do with some blankets as property feels very cold despite us putting the heating on.

Lovely cottage, in a convenient location.

Very clean, tidy and well equipped. Nice little secure courtyard, with table and chairs for alfreso dining. Modern kitchen and bathroom. Comfy furniture throughout. Found on-street parking every day with no problem. The only hesitation I would have about staying here again is, as a light sleeper, the noise from early morning deliveries to the hotel opposite. From 04:45 onwards, every day, there were several vans, trucks, bin & recycling lorries arriving, with engines left running, doors opening and closing, right beneath the bedroom window. One of the drawbacks of being in a central location I guess.

Really cosy and characterful cottage - the pictures don’t do it justice!

The pretty courtyard garden was a lovely surprise and got the sun till @ 3pm in April. The house was really warm and lots of hot water for baths which we really appreciated after a day working on the boat. Very close to lovely shops. Kitchen could use a cheese grater and an oven dish. Parking beside house is meant for local shop owners (or so we were told!) so beware you could be blocked in as we were.

Very well situated house.

Clean and comfortable. My only mild criticism is that it is described as having parking. On booking it is revealed that the parking is first come first served in a narrow dead end- there may be three spaces in a line but you wouldn’t want to be the first one in the line. In the high season this would be a problem. Otherwise the house is as advertised

Everything about the property was great with one exception.

We thought the right hand turn at the top of the stairs we thought was a bit unsafe especially for people like us in our latter years. This could be much improved if two short rails where put on the right hand wall as you moved from the bedrooms to the bathroom. As parking is a problem we it would be helpful to let future people staying know you can get a permit tp park on the green for seven days which includes overnight. These are available from the hut on the green.

This was the 2nd time we have stayed and have enjoyed our stay love that it’s a short stroll to the beach and local shops .

The cottage is clean and has everything you need in it .Will more than likely be back again .

We had a lovely stay me and my mum it was lovely clean and fresh .

we would book again only issue with in side the house was on top of stairs you need a hand rail where the stairs turn .and the note you left over parking we did park somewhere else and left it empty.but unfortunately other people did park there and people that was staying in hotel ? Which I didn’t understand why plus the entry next to house is no good to park as the lady in wool shop was very very rude to me on the day we was leaving as I was packing my car up I did park in entry she ask me to move as she was waiting to open her shop

Comfortable and quiet- apart from the seagulls! Clean and good Wi-Fi. Car parking is sometimes available around the corner but we have had to park at the top of the town a few times. House could only be improved with; 1. a better, larger sofa. 2. a mechanism & instructions for heating the hot water tank. 3. a tidier garden. Other than that it’s excellent!

Lovely house and warm comfortable stay 2 minor problems: 1 we didn’t know what to do re recycling.

There were no instructions 2. Parking. We didn’t have a problem actually but on the last day we were berated by a neighbour who said we shouldn’t have moved the traffic cones as they were needed for ambulance access. We weren’t aware of this. Lastly the sofa was a bit uncomfortable and the bathroom blind kept breaking away from the pleats when it was raised or lowered. Otherwise a fantastic stay thank you

Lovely welcome pack and facilities ideal for our dog Everything we needed was in walking distance The only incorrect information was ‘street parking’ This was not always available and I imagine would be even more difficult in the summer time However we were able to park on the sea front for £25 for the week which was good value We will definitely stay there again

The property location is ideal, situated in the centre of the town close to all amenities.

The streets around the property are quite narrow and so street parking at the location can be difficult. However, there is ample parking within 400 yards on the seafront at the Green. The current cost is £25 for a week + a refundable £10 at the end of your stay. This is recommended as the easiest solution. The actual property is well maintained and includes all necessary facilities. It is clean and comfortable. The local baker's shop is 20 yards away and is very well stocked. Try the sourdough bread as it is delicious. There is a general waste bin in the back and enclosed courtyard but there was no sign of any recycling bins. The owner should advise what to do in this case as we could not find any details in the file on the dining room table. Overall, this property can be highly recommended.

Enjoyed our stay everything great bar parking but managed to park out side as late season but can park on seafront for a pass 20 for a week when busy with 10 refund Central for everything lovely bakery so close to .

Property was a modernised terrace - pleasant & spacious - seating could have been more comfortable.

Convenient location. Outside area needs some TLC & new furniture - too dirty to use The listing is not accurate/honest about car parking - tiny side street - we were lucky, most of the time, as not over-crowded in mid-September. Need new chopping boards (& more teaspoons) in the kitchen - otherwise the equipment we used was fine - pleasing large amount of glasses & mugs!

Great location, very central, great bakery on the street, easy access to all amenities and castle.

A nicely presented house with nice kitchen, good sized bedrooms and living room. Shower was temperamental, hard to get temperature right and not very powerful. Sofa and chairs in living room were uncomfortable to sit for longer than a few minutes but we were out most of the time so it didn’t matter too much. Outdoor space and furniture wasn’t very well kept so eating outside wasn’t really an option, although weather wasn’t good enough the week we were there so it didn’t matter too much. Overall would definitely recommend.

Great cottage, local parking can be touch & go but cheap enough to park on the green, not sure where the bins for the bottles, tins & paper were though & nothing in the visitors book to tell you but other than those small trivialities it was a great property & would highly recommend.

This cottage is in an excellent location, just seconds from the high street and pubs/restaurants.

The street is relatively quiet although there is foot traffic outside the window during the day. Rooms spacious for 2 adults and a dog at least. There is an enclosed courtyard for your dog, but it is not well kept and furniture not clean so not suitable for dining outside. Despite the listing describing off-road parking, practically there was no parking provided as you'd be very lucky to find a space. It was easy enough to unload outside the cottage though. The Green Car Park is the only car park in Beaumaris that provides weekly parking (at £25/week, as well as a refundable £10 deposit for the barrier card). It is only a short 5 minute walk away but you can only buy a pass between 9-4pm, so most guests won't be able to get a pass on the first day as arrival is currently 5pm earliest. Biggest problem was cleanliness - when we arrived we expected to do a little extra cleaning because of COVID but we were shocked by how dirty the place was. It was like someone cleaned the bathroom and forgot to do the rest of the cottage! This included raw fish juice in the microwave, crumbs on the counter/table, dog hair and dirt on all the floors, living room rug filthy with debris and high level dust everywhere. There also appeared to be some new damp forming on the ceiling above the fireplace in the main bedroom. We spent an hour cleaning the cottage as it was 7pm before noticing hair on the sheets and stains on the mattress protector which we didn't think we could sort out ourselves. We then complained to the housekeeping company and they were very apologetic and helpful, offering to clean the cottage (which we had already done so didn't need, and we didn't want someone else in the cottage during the pandemic) and arranged for new linen to be sent - these were brand new bought directly from Tesco that evening. Unfortunately the size was not correct so we ended up having to wash the linen in the washing machine ourselves and sleeping on our own towels for the first night. If it wasn't for the cleanliness issue on arrival we would recommend this cottage. Once cleaned the place was comfortable and a good base for exploring Beaumaris and Anglesey but we have serious concerns about the adequacy of cleaning between guests.

Just a couple of little things that wouldmake the cottage experience alittle better.

A blind at the kitchen window would be good as you can see straight into next doors kitchen and vice versa. an outside light in the back for letting the dog out after dark. I also think you want to be a little more honest about the lack of parking. but overall a really nice cottage in a great location.

Quick response when I reported no hot water in the taps. It was quickly fixed. We will definitely try to book it again! Perfect for our family

This house was up to date.

very clean, because it was cold and wet and windy we spent more time in the house. All I would suggest is a more comfortable settee. The tv didn’t work so the maintenance man came he was very attentive and eventually the satellite was replaced. You couldn’t get any more central to Beaumaris. Plenty of fabulous eating places The Liverpool arms The Midland The bull for eating if you go to meni Dillons overlooking the straits and sit in the bulkley and have a coffee.

We were very impressed with the overall standard of the house, kitchen and bathroom in particular we're excellent, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and we would certainly come back again

The cottage has been renovated to a high standard.

It’s very handy for shops and the seafront. I would recommend parking on the green as outside the house parking is extremely limited. This has been a very enjoyable holiday. We have been able to explore more of the island and will certainly return.

Lovely well equipped cottage in a perfect location in the centre of Beaumaris.

Milk, tea and sugar provided was very welcome on arrival. many beautiful Anglesey walks are within easy reach, restaurants and pubs close by. Building work was being carried out next door by the most considerate builders you could meet.
