Captain's Quarters - Apartment 2

Lovely apartment with close amenities and great being so close to the beach.

The only negatives is that the bed is more like a 3/4 bed, I’m 6’3” and had to sleep diagonally as the footboard wouldn’t let me sleep normally. The other issues were the fridge and hot water were off when we arrived and we didn’t notice until the morning. Had to have cold showers and breakfast with milk that was room temperature, took a while to suss out how to get the water on, be better if it was left on. Also the rooms were really warm and the under floor heating controls were locked in some rooms so it couldn’t be adjusted

The information from the host about the key safe and door codes was clear.

The host came and brought us extra linen due to my mistake of not requesting it. The kitchen was reasonably equipped. The TV, heating and shower were all fine. The location was beautiful. Well worth a visit.

Excellent accommodation for two and we took our little dog.

Everything you need was provided and the apartment was spotlessly clean. Thank you.

Second visit to 'captins quarters' and loved it once again, standard is top class, everything you need for a stay away.

Patio area out front is a proper sun trap with a parasol for when you need to shade from the sun. Short walk to the beach, and a good base to explore the Island from. Will definitely be back, and the welcome pack is really nice.

Everything we needed, apart from some pasta bowls please! All in all a wonderful holiday!!

The apartment was superb, the positioning for all the facilities nearby was ideal and we could not have wished for a better stay!

! We ate out most nights and tried various places, our most enjoyable evening was in the "Shed" very welcoming, excellent food and service. We didn't travel about the island, the only time we used the car was to visit Beaumaris which is well worth it. We hope to return for another week in September which cannot come quick enough!! Benllech is a small place where beautiful memories can be made just like home from home.

Excellent location for the beach, shop and pub.

The apartment was clean and had all the facilities needed . We were fortunate to have lovely weather and the patio was a sun trap . The only suggestion is a king size bed would have made our stay more comfortable .

The location of the apartment is perfect.

We loved the outside space and although we went over Christmas we were still able to sit outside on Boxing Day. Patio doors on both the lounge and bedroom which is perfect in the summer months when it is warm. Neff applicances which was home from home for us. Lovely bathroom with a bath & shower. Perfect location for the shops and pub and even better a 2 minute walk to the beach where you can walk across to The Tavern on the Bay & The Ship Inn when the tide is out. This was our first time staying in the Captains Quarters and it certainly wont be our last.

Captains Quarter's is a delightful property just yards away from beautiful Benllech Beach.

The property is spotless, modern, quiet and very well maintained with everything we could need. The underfloor heating is a real bonus for those cold winter stays. Lyndsey went out of her way to make Fudge feel welcome with her own welcome treat which she greatly enjoyed. Plenty of nice places to eat on our doorstep with other attractive towns and bays within easy reach too making this an ideal holiday retreat any time of the year. We can't recommend this property highly enough

Excellent stay, caring owner who warned us of power cuts in the area ( which fortunately didn't happen) and were to find torches in the apartment.

The property had most items needed for a stay, except: Pirex bowls (for microwave, ie porridge) Hairdryer! If pre-warned I could've brought my own. Hair was a mess!

Great low cost apartment close to Benllech Beach :)

Excellent base for exploring Anglesea.

3 min walk down the hill to a sandy beach where you can walk a mile or two when the tide's out. Excellent butcher & sea food shop 5 min walk up the hill plus small Tesco & restaurants. Comfortable and spacious appartment with outside seating. Easy parking. Well equipt, even had an air frier, although I didn't try it. The patio doors air the appartment quickly, but there isn't a window to be left open at night. If you book for 2 and want to use the sofa bed, let the owner know as there weren't any sheets when I arrived but the owner quickly sorted it out.

Only criticism is that bed is too short.

We have been to this property 6 times which says it all.

Spotlessly clean,warm and comfortable. The high standard of this property hasn't altered in over 4 years and we regard it as home from home.

Lovely place situated 2 minutes walk from benllech beach and 5 minutes to shops and pubs.

Apartment was spotless. Nice furnishings and fully equipped for self catering. Private parking space. Will be going here again. SOON.

A great stay in a lovely apartment.

Spotlessly clean and tastefully decorated. A short walk to Benllech beach which is lovely.

The apartment was very clean, comfortable and fresh and in an ideal spot (half-way up the hill) between the village centre and beach.

Other areas of the island are easily reached from the village as is Snowdon. The patio is a great size, and although the view over the carpark isn't great - it was lovely to meet all our fellow guests as they walked by. But maybe some green screening would be an idea? The only issue was - we couldn't turn down the heating. We found the apartment handbook late (someone had put it out of sight under the coffee table) and when we tried the follow the instructions to change the temperature - the units were locked and needed a code. We could have the owner but by the time we discovered this we were just about the go home! Not a biggie - but it did very quite warm at night. All in all a perfect base for out first trip to Anglesey.

Excellent modern accommodation, within walking distance to the beach and nearby shops and cafes, restaurants and pubs.

Ideally positioned for touring Anglesey and North Wales, Very well presented clean apartment with everything you need for a relaxing holiday, right down to the welcome pack. Would highly recommend this holiday accommodation. My wife and I hope to return soon .

Very well decorated and maintained and in a great location and we would return as long as the price is comparable to other properties in the same building and location.

The apartment was clean and comfortable and in a super location for the beach and local shops and amenities the weather was glorious.....perfect!

Immaculately clean, lovely interior, everything that was needed to have a good relaxing holiday, having the patio was great and was used every day as we were fortunate with the weather. The booking process was straight forward and description was spot on. This was our first time staying self catering and would certainly do it again if it was to the standard of Captains Quarters, Apartment 2.

A beautiful apartment that has everything you need, and very close to the beach and shops, but if mobility is an issue the walk to either is quite steep.

The patio is a welcome addition on a sunny day. We have stayed here several times and always enjoyed our visits, if we had a negative it would be the size of the bed, most accommodation now has at least a king size.

Very clean and comfortable. Great shower. Plenty of space. Everything in good repair. Only improvement I would make is to change duvet for summer season as was a tad heavy. Will be back

This property has everything needed for a self catering break and has the bonus of an outside patio which is well furnished with a good range of outdoor garden furniture.

Our stay was perfect!

Couldn't have been better. Every need was catered for, the owner could not have done more. The place was so clean,warm and comfortable. Our holiday was luxurious to say the least. It was a joy to have the security and provision for private parking. We can't wait to return.

Location was great, with shops and places to eat nearby, and also a good base for exploring Anglesey. We would highly recommend!

The apartment was very modern, stylish and comfortable offering everything a couple would need for a short break.

Having its own patio was a bonus. Ideally situated for walking down to the beach or up to shops and restaurants. Also well positioned for exploring the island by car.

It was an excellent location and the apartment was fitted to a high standard.

We even commented on the pair of Herons as the motif on the bed cushions, which of course is our family name.

This was our third stay at Captain's Quarters.

The apartment is warm, clean and well equipped for an enjoyable stay which is why we keep returning, and will do again. It is close to the beach, the Wales Coastal path, and good places to eat out if you wish.

Honestly cannot rate Captains Quarters highly enough!

The property is absolutely stunning decorated to an extremely high standard with a beautiful seaside themed decor, you can see the owner has put a lot of heart and effort into the place! The apartment is situated on lovely gated grounds with a perfect location a stone throw away from Benllech beach along with pubs, fish and chips and supermarkets! The patio was a lovely touch, opening out from both the bedroom and the lounge and is a sun trap all day into the evening! Thanks so much to the owners for an absolutely wonderful stay and we will definitely be returning to Captains Quarters!!!

Lovely apartment in good location.

The apartment is located in the perfect place, walking distance from the beach, shops, restaurants and takeaways.

The car park is securely gated off with a lovely communal area. The apartment itself was beyond spotless, nice and modern décor with plenty of storage so you can unpack and don't have to live out of your bags for the weekend. The facilities which are included are perfect if you sometimes want to stay in and cook for yourself there is everything you need (except the ingredients of course). We come to Angelsey a lot, so we definitely will be back and stay at this location again. The host was very attentive on the day of arrival, giving us heads up on local restaurants, taxis etc which was a nice little touch. Thank you again for a lovely stay x

Nice and clean lovely place feet did stick out the bed and I did get a flat tyre from the metal catch where the gates lock into so that’s one to watch next time apart from that excellent

The apartment is extremely pleasurable because of its outdoor space . would book again highly recommend. Everything you could possibly need in apartment, owner on hand via phone if needed also the bottle of red & nibbles where a nice touch . Location exceptional

Immaculate apartment in close proximity to the beach.

We found the apartment to be furnished to a high standard and was very light and airy for a 1 bed apartment. The heated floor was also lovely. We also liked sitting outside in the designated patio area. Would definitely recommend to others.

Ideally placed apartment in a lovely area.

Well equipped with a lovely patio. Shame it can’t be more private as path from car park to door runs past. But this wasn’t too much of an issue for us. TV is too high on wall had to slouch on settee to watch a programme! Would go again except as others have mentioned the main door is a big issue. People coming and going all times and letting the door slam to. It reverberates in the flat as the walls are thin and you can hear other people next door. I’m surprised this issue hasn’t been resolved as many people have mentioned it in the flats comment book too. It’s a shame as we will definitely be visiting Benllech again.

The apartment is absolutely lovely with everything you could want however there is an issue with noise from the slamming of internal doors (constant at around 9am & early evening each day) in the complex.

Unfortunately, this is the only reason why we would not book this apartment again. This is such a shame as the area and facilities are great - we will be returning; just not to this apartment.

I found my stay there very comfortable and was a nice base to use to explore Anglesey.

Note: very minor change would be to have larger mugs and a selection of smaller glasses

One thing that we found very difficult to put up with was the main entrance door slamming every time someone went through it.

Families would go through one at a time instead of holding door open! Drove us mad. Left on Friday as fed up with it. Shame as apartment was lovely.

During the stay a storm hit and the owner contacted to find out if we were okay. Would happily stay again.

The accommodation was very clean and the owner's were very helpful and got back to me quickly with my enquiries.

When we arrived we couldn’t open the door to the apartment.

I rang Sykes and was dealt with very efficiently, in the mean time my wife had got the door open.The Sykes staff kept in touch the whole time.The lady that looked after the apartment arrived to let us in but wasn’t put out that we had managed to open the door. A little lubrication in the lock and it was fine afterwards.The apartment was very clean with everything you would need for your stay. Just a short walk from Benllech beach which is ideal for families.

Superb apartment in a great location.

Very clean and well equipped. Lovely welcome pack including wine, teabags and milk! Walking distance to the beach and would recommend a walk to The Ship in Red Wharf Bay for a drink and stunning view. If the tide comes in you can walk back on the coastal path. We were lucky to have some sunny days. Would love to return in the summer. Anglesey is amazing.
