Great position for staying in the wonderful village easy downhill walk to village amenities (about 500 yards) the cottage was clean and comfortable Wonderfull shower will rebook sometime next year and certainly recommend to friends Well done to the owners it’s not difficult to it well

The property is to a very high standard and we really enjoyed our week long stay here.

Although there is only off road parking, we did not struggle getting suitable spaces without having to pay parking fees, albeit sometimes a short walk away.

Beautiful cottage and an ideal location.

The cottage had everything we needed and they had thought of the little things that make it more comfortable and practical. Spotlessly clean throughout and the back garden area was great for a morning coffee. We managed to park in front of the cottage or further up the lay-by but it is hit & miss if there’s a space available. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay & would book again!

Lovely, clean and comfortable. Difficulty parking but that is no reflection of the property.

We really liked the look of this house from the photos on the website and we were not disappointed.

The facilities in the house were perfect including two double bedrooms with two fabulous bathrooms, a cosy lounge and a fully fitted kitchen with all necessary gadgets. The back garden was a bonus to catch the afternoon sun and a separate washing room, warmed to speed drying if required. Parking on the main road was tricky at weekends and likely worse in the summer but there are car parks not too far away. This was the biggest challenge but there was only a short walk into the centre of town. Recommend you bring an ice tray to cool your drinks :-)

We had an epic stay here , such a beautiful , well kept cottage , everything you need is provided !

, comfortable and clean , its situated perfectly and theres ample parking nearby . perfect place for a basecamp for hiking .We will be booking here again !

A really beautiful, modern cottage right in the heart of Betws-y-Coed.

Great property and great location for access to the hills of northern Snowdonia. We will be back next year for sure.

I booked this property over Christmas so the price was more expensive.

I had to move the booking due to a bereavement but you wouldn't honour the price of the week we actually stayed. I have based my review on what I would expect to receive from a property for how much we paid. Which was around £300 more than we would have paid if we'd originally booked that week. The kitchen was well stocked with utensils, but some pans were dirty. Lack of basics, such as salt, pepper and oil. There was a very minimal amount of fire wood and we would expect more for the cost. We ran out of toilet rolls half way through the stay and there were no spares. I have never had to replace toilet rolls on a holiday before. There are very high expectations of us leaving the property clean, but no cleaning products were supplied. Not even a basic spray to clean surfaces in the kitchen or bathroom. There is some mould on the seal around the shower. Stained rug, chairs, pillow covers and mattress protectors (noticed when stripping the bed). Minimal, low quality towels provided for two people over five days. Garden is not very secure and a dog from a neighbouring property was there. As above, if we had paid what the property was advertised at for the week we stayed, I'd have actually been satisfied with minor issues as it would have been relative to the cost. For what we paid though, I would not expect to see the above issues. Betws y coed was lovely and we would return to the area, probably not with Sykes though.

Lovely, welcoming, well equipped cottage in a beautiful village.

One of the best we have stayed in. Plenty to do in the area. Had a lovely stay despite the weather. Just a couple of things that would have made the stay better. The fan in the main bathroom was not working, not a problem for us as we just opened the window. The utility room is great and we used it to leave walking boots in, but could be even better if there were hooks to hang wet walking coats instead of having to take them into the main cottage. The information in the brochure and the description on the website needs updating, taking out reference to dogs being allowed as this is now a pet-free cottage. Also, more specific information about what needs to be recycled would have been helpful, although the owner was very responsive when called to check.

We had a very nice stay in this comfortable cottage, it is fully equipped and within walking distance of the village with all amenities.

Parking in this time of the year was no problem at all, mostly in front of the cottage. The only thing worth noting are the frying pans, they are really old and burn like crazy. They really should be replaced. Everything else was just perfect.

Fab placed, this was our second visit for new year and we will be coming back for 2026.

Wonderful cottage.

Was the perfect place for our holiday and with a great location. Was beautifully decorated and renovated. The open fire was especially wonderful. We had a great holiday which was made all the more special by the cottage. Will definitely return and would recommend. From previous reviews we thought parking would be an issue but we managed to park right outside.

A great cottage right in the heart of Betws Y Coed.

We enjoyed the fire, and the facilities were ample. A very spacious cottage and lovely and warm. Substantially well decorated and renovated throughout. The only issue was the parking to unload on a very wet and dark Friday evening when the neighbour quipped at our parking in front of her steps. Quite an unnecessary welcome but we continued to unload and then parked somewhere else once we had quite rightly unloaded. We didn’t allow this to deter our enjoyment of the beautiful place and we will definitely be returning again. Highly recommended.

Excellent location for the village centre.

The property is well furnished, was very clean and had adequate space for all of our party (3 of us). I would recommend staying here.

Really comfortable place in an excellent location.

Some areas were not cleaned to a high standard. Kitchen has adequate utensils, crockery, etc. to make a meal. Previous reviews stated issues with the fridge but this was not an issue for us, seemed perfectly cold enough.

A lovely property and very well situated.

The town also has all the facilities required. Parking was on the street but always got parked near the property.

The property was ideal, in a very good location and very comfortable.

There was just a couple of issues relating to the ensuite shower, the temperature wasn't controllable & was far too hot. The Tv wasn't working properly, there was only 4 normal channels and the BBC iPlayer etc channels there was sound and no picture.

5 Blanc Llugwy was a great cottage.

It had clearly been refurbished to an exceptionally high standard. However, given it was a self catering cottage, with a washing machine, it would have been helpful to have had a iron and ironing board. A very minor gripe given the overall comfort of the cottage. My major concern was the lack of allocated parking The only options were on-road parking, on a first come, first serve basis, or the council car parks in the centre of Betws-y-Coed. The majority of these did not permit overnight parking (the only exception we found to this, was immediately opposite the train station/shops. On road parking near the cottage was a lottery. The last thing we wanted at the end of a day's hiking was to hunt for a car parking space on our return. Also the on-road parking was on the very busy main road out of Betws-y-Coed. Very tricky if you hand young children.

Had the most wonderful stay at 5 Banc Llugwy.

...we didn't want to leave! The cottage is perfectly situated in Bewts y coed. Beaches, mountains, woods can be found 30 minutes in every direction! The cottage itself was exactly as described, beautifully decorated and comfortable. It had everything you could need (except an iron, but maybe we didn't find it!) The beds were extremely comfortable and the showers were amazing! Just what is needed after a long day exploring Snowdonia. The local pub was welcoming and friendly, one evening we got the pleasure of watching a Welsh folk group perform. Plenty of places to eat. My only criticism (and I don't like to criticise such a beautiful cottage) is we had a nightmare with the oven. Food either took double the time to cook or it burnt the outside (I set the smoke alarm off on one occasion.) Other than that, the cottage was perfect in every way. I would definitely return and I would definitely recommend. I truly didn't want to leave. One suggestion, a guest book would be nice to see where other people have been and explored. There is so much to see and do, it's difficult to decide what to do!

Fab accommodation no issues and also the weather was fab

We loved our stay and would have returned but there is now a no pet rule, so we are naturally disappointed.

Improvements would be an iron and ironing board, we attended a wedding and had no board (took my own iron just in case). Maybe a washer/dryer combo as hard to dry clothes when the weather isn’t sunny. The stones at the top of the garden are slippery so just an advisory caution maybe? We did have a wonderful time and the cottage was better than we hoped! Only sad that we can’t return

Cottage beautiful situated in friendly village good walks with dogs along the river and golf club.

Plenty of cafés. Definately recommend.

Excellent location and fantastic property.

Lovely and clean and very spacious. Parking was a bit tricky over the weekend as on street only and we had to park quite a bit away but this was not a big issue for us and we were happy to walk but just something to be aware of. Pubs in town all dog friendly. Great bakery in spar shop. Lots of walks from property and would love to stay again.

What a wonderful holiday we had staying at the cottage which is just so lovely.

Firstly I couldn't praise the level of cleanliness enough. Never stayed in a property that was so spotless before. The cottage itself is brilliant for wandering in to the village where there are lots of restaurants and pubs to visit and little shops. For groceries there is only a very limited Spa so worth stocking up at a bigger supermarket nearby. There is no designated parking but we had no issue finding free parking either right outside the property or a short distance up the road. We did go during an off peak time though. Inside the cottage the 2 bathrooms are so lovely and I could have stayed in the shower forever. Nice comfortable bedrooms. If I had to name any more negative points it would be that the garden is very steep (so something to bear in mind if have mobility issues) and the signal for tv was a bit hit and miss at times. But honestly the cottage and holiday was brilliant. Definitely recommend!!

The four of us (2 adults & 2 teenagers) had a lovely stay at 5 Banc Llugwy.

The cottage has been tastefully renovated and provides a traditional cottage feel with all the comforts of modern living. The location is great with shops and restaurants a few minutes walk away. We thoroughly enjoyed walks from the cottage door, various mountain climbs and a trip to Conwy castle. Along with easy communication with the owner, we would highly recommend a stay here.
