The listing noted the open tread stairs but not that they were incredibly narrow for foot placement, painted in shiny paint and very steep.
We had to blockade the bottom of them to prevent the dogs going up as we'd never have got them down again safely. They weren't safe for us. Everything needed cleaning especially the kitchen items and they still looked dirty after being washed. The cooker is old and rusty with the enamel flaking off. All the blinds were falling off their fittings, there wasn't many logs we ran out after one day, the lamp didn't work and neither did one of the electric heaters. It also felt like the electric supply was restricted as it took ages for phones to charge and I couldn't get the grill hot enough to cook bacon and sausages. We came home early after 3 nights as we just weren't comfortable and the dogs couldn't settle.
Beautiful location and little house.
Perfect for what we wanted and booked. Yes, the house could do with a little maintenance, but it wouldn’t stop me booking again. Location is a 10 minute drive to the most perfect beach (easy parking and dog friendly too) Castle and amazing ice cream shop must be visited.
Nice little cosy cottage in a great location for exploring north Wales and Snowdonia .
Just let down by poor maintenance and some cleanliness issues. Shower light/extraction not working, velux handle broken, dirty frying pan, rock hard coffee in a tin, old dog crap in garden . Would be nice to have a couple of welcome items too.
