Super clean, everything you could possibly need, comfortable beds and a great location for Newborough beach and the Snowdonia range.

The accommodation was first rate, well presented and great for families.

The location is ideal for exploring Anglesey and North Wales.

Before we booked our stay at Gwel-y-Rhos we read all the 5 star reviews and now we can confirm that they are all correct.

The accomodation is truly first class in all respects — the beds are really comfortable and generally the property provided everything that we needed for an easy and unforgettable holiday

The cottage is absolutely beautiful — so thoughtfully designed, with gorgeous, calming interiors and such a lovely atmosphere. Everything felt incredibly considered and there really wasn’t a single thing they hadn’t thought of. The Easter touches were especially lovely — beautiful little decorations and treats waiting for us (including some for the dog!), which made it feel so welcoming from the moment we arrived. There’s also a lovely little garden area at the back which was perfect for the children to play in and for the dog to have a run around. It was one of those places where you immediately relax and feel at home. We had such a happy week here and genuinely couldn’t fault a thing. An absolute five-star stay and somewhere we’d wholeheartedly recommend. We would love to return!

Wonderful location, peaceful and stunning scenery.

Immaculate holiday house, very high quality, everything you could need. Secure large front patio and secure garden area to the back, perfect for children and dogs. We had such a wonderful holiday in a perfect setting. R3ally thoughtful welcome nibbles provided too, including for the dog. Thank you.

Lovely cottage.

Spotlessly clean, and the furnishings and fittings were all high quality. The owners were quick to address a couple of minor issues during our stay. It would be worth noting that the EV charging is available at an additional cost, which is fine, but it would be better to make this clear in the property description. We have stayed in Anglesey numerous times and rarely return to the same property, but we are planning to return to this one, reflecting the quality of the accommodation. The property was in excellent condition and excellently appointed. The property was well coordinated throughout and it oozed quality. The welcome pack was very generous and enjoyed by all. Ian and Catherine tremendously helpful and quick to respond to our help with the car charger. The location was perfect with the whole of Anglesey and North Wales on the door step. Nobody can go there without a visit Newborough Beach and Llanddwyn Island, by far the most beautiful place ever.

What a beautiful property!

No expense has been spared to make this cottage a home from home and totally comfortable. Very quiet. Great location for exploring the local area and easy to access the roads to explore further afield. The welcome pack for ourselves and our dog was much appreciated. Communication from the owner was perfect. The front and back outside spaces are dog friendly particularly for small/medium dogs. Keep an eye on larger dogs, or those who like to jump walls, as there are a couple of lower sections of the wall. Will definitely be returning.

Beautiful cottage which was well equipped, spacious and comfortable.

Ideally located to explore the island of Anglesey and in a lovely peaceful spot. The cottage was immaculately clean on our arrival. The cottage was located close to Newborough beach and other lovely forest walks. I would definitely stay in this cottage again and would recommend to others.

Stunning property in a beautiful quiet location. Immaculate, very well equipped, no expense spared, both inside and out. A lovely, generous welcome pack on arrival and a generous stock of basics. Very comfortable, with secure rear and front gardens, with plenty of seating in both. Loved the property so much that I cant wait to go back and have recommended it to my son's family, as it would be ideal with their small child and dog.

One of the best properties I have stayed in, spotlessly clean and generous welcome pack on arrival.

Very dog friendly. Mattress so comfortable I have ordered the same one. Very much enjoyed our stay there.

The listing was not clear that the property comes with a fully enclosed private rear garden as well as a front terrace.

Whilst the rear garden is not particularly big it surely a big positive for families with young children or pets and could be made more prominent on the property description ! This is a property that the owners really do keep in tip top condition. Probably the best property we have stayed at in over thirty years of regular self catering.

Had an amazing stay with my family.

What a beautiful lodge we had everything we needed and way more. The location was perfect would highly recommend & Close the beach which is beautiful . The only down side for us was it wasn’t as dog friendly as we would of liked only because we had to keep him on the lead when letting him in the garden due to the back wall being to low & also at the front of the property. Other than that we would highly recommend. Thank you so much for our lovely stay xx
