We have enjoyed a great 5 dags exploring Anglesey staying at Dolwyn for our daughtera forst holiday.

Here are the plus points: -Exceptional welcome pack, above and beyond -Shop 4 doors away for essentials -Beds very comfy and clean -Bunk bed room great for setting up travel cot for monitor and has books my daughter liked reading -Box of toys in hall was well used by our toddler -Lots of space for coats/shoes -Toddler friendly - when booking we had the option of stairgates, high chair and travel cot, we just bought our own travel cot but took up the other options, I couldnt find many properties that had staurgate as an option so I really appreciated the peace of mind having one at the top and bottom of stairs -House in general was a good layout and felt toddler friendly, TV up on the wall -Lots of amenities in cupboards plates, cups, pans etc - dishwasher tabs, washing tabs for washing machine in separate utility room with tumble dryer and 2 high chairs -Had essentials like salt/pepper, cooking oil, brand new milk in the fridge -Very close to both Menai town and Beaumaris -Radio in kitchen used everyday -Big play park at the top of the road past the school up the hill Here are some points to note: -Bath is downstairs -Bring your own shower gel, shampoo and condotioner -The house is a little worn in places but almost expected with it being dog friendly -Lovely having the hot tub but it was in the front garden not shown in the pics, not as private with people walking past but the flip side is you get the stunning mountain view -Walkable to Menai but it was very steep and challenging with 2 dogs and a pram on the way back up so people with mobility issues may struggle -Online pics need updating - lounge felt bare (no rug or foot puff), however minimalistic worked well with a toddler. The chalk wall board in kitchen is now space for fire blanket and extinguisher which is functional. The bench outside is unusable as one leg is broken -Open wardrobe space is minimal in each room but gives more space to walk around the beds, not a problem for us as we only used two rooms so could spread clothes in to the spare rooms -Grass was long making picking up after dog trickier -Anti slip mats are required in the bathrooms, they are very slippy without Areas we enjoyed that were dog and toddler friendly: -Beaumaris castle (ground floor only) -Puffin island boat trip, there is a sales hut in Beaumaris near the big public car park -Foel Farm Park, this was a great day out feeding animals, tractor rides and lots of kid activities and not that far away -Nipping in to see the longest train station name at Llanfair PG en route - free parking and a huge gift shop -Newborough forest and beach, gorgeous sandy beach and car park is very close -Bangor pier for a wander and a coffee from the cafe at the end of the pier, free parking on the road down to it -Good quality food at The Ship Inn Red Wharf Bay - check tide times online as we got there early to have a few hours on the beach but the tide was fully in All in all we had a lovely holiday, the house was a great base and we enjoyed exploring Anglesey!

An amazing property that we used as a base for exploring the amazing island of Anglesey!

Dolwyn is very well presented and had everything we needed including free usage of the EV charger whilst we stayed which was amazing. The fully enclosed garden also gave us peace of mind when letting the dogs out. We didn't use it, but the hot tub looked lovely too! Also make sure to pick up some amazing food at Dylan's in Menai Bridge - the pastries were amazing!!!

Both toilet seats in the bathrooms were hanging off.

The door handle on the bedroom door fell off in my hand. The sofa had stains and felt damp. The mattress in one of the rooms needed changing due to springs coming through. The house needed a painting and had dirty marks on walls and skirting boards. The cleaner pulled up outside 10 minutes before we should have checked out and we felt rushed.
