Description

Brook Cottage is a traditional stone fronted holiday cottage on the outskirts of the popular seaside village of Criccieth on the Llyn Peninsula. It has been lovingly restored and cheerfully decorated to make for the ideal family seaside pad. You’ll be surprised how much space there is - it really is a tardis! Generous, bright rooms and a great enclosed rear courtyard for dining al fresco provides everything you could need for a relaxing break in North Wales. The sitting room is bright and airy but feels cosier for the electric fire which is surrounded by comfy sofas and a statement wing-back chair (which is delightful to sit in!). There’s a TV and DVD Player too. The open plan kitchen-diner is also bright and has a modern feel. Skylights mean light floods in this room, making it such a happy space to cook family meals in! The kitchen is compact but perfectly appointed with a dishwasher, fridge freezer, separate fridge and electric range cooker. Don’t fear, there is a washing machine in the utility area which is just off the kitchen! The dining area has plenty of space with a table and plenty of seating for everyone. Ideal for a family breakfast where you can discuss the exciting adventures that lay ahead for that day. On the ground floor there is a shower room with large cubicle, hand basin and loo. There is one good-sized double bedroom with direct access to the rear patio and to the Jack and Jill bathroom which also has a door to the main hall. In here there is shower, hand basin and loo. There’s a further double bedroom and a twin room, too! An excellent bonus is the dressing / reading room just off the master bedroom. This room has a double sofa bed that can be made available upon request. The enclosed garden is to the back of the cottage and has a paved terrace and outdoor seating. Sit out here and soak up the sunshine with a glass of wine and a book - bliss! Whilst we love this holiday cottage, the location is equally loveable! Criccieth has a buzz that only comes from a seaside village and there’s plenty to see and do whether it’s spring, summer, autumn or winter. You’ll find shops, places to eat, walks, a beach and a castle all within walking distance! Venture further afield along the Llyn Peninsula to Abersoch or Nefyn for some more brilliant beaches and walks. Definitely consider heading over into Snowdonia and getting the most of two popular regions in North Wales whilst you’re here - it’s not far away!

Please contact Menai Holidays 7 days before your arrival if you would like use of the sofa bed.

The cottage was very well equipped, spacious and clean for our stay.

The kitchen was particularly well equipped with plenty of mugs white tableware and glasses. There still seems to be a leak in the ground floor bathroom as water appeared from time to time and both the mixer taps and the taps In the ensuite bathroom need attention as are very loose. These are minor maintenance issues which can be rectified and didn't effect our stay. The cottage has a nice outside area and great views of the sea a castle from the front outside garden seat.

4 adults and 2 children had a comfortable stay at Brook cottage.

The cottage was well equipped, including a very good selection of kictchen utensils and crockery etc. Would have liked a couple of flute glasses for our prosecco

Our second stay at this amazing cottage with outstanding sea and castle views.

Appears small from outside but large rooms throughout. Fab kitchen, well equipped with dishwasher and a useful utility room. Exceptionally comfy beds and lots of storage. The two bathrooms have excellent showers. We look forward to another stay in 2027.
