I went to porthmadog to spend some quality time with my elderly dog, to tick off some bucket list things.

Captain Jack's is the perfect place for a break in Porthmadog.
It's large, clean and has the most amazing view of the harbour. There are lots of leaflets with information about things to do in the area and the little packet of Welsh Cakes was a welcome treat after a long drive.
We’ve stayed at Captain Jack’s several times and absolutely love it.
The property is always immaculate and has a lovely, homely feel, with thoughtful decorative touches throughout. All kitchen essentials including washing-up liquid, sponges and laundry tablets are provided plus a lovely welcome gift of Welsh cakes. The views and location are fantastic. The communication I experienced with the owner was excellent, with a kind offer to help if any issues arise—though there never have been. We highly recommend this property. Looking forward to return next time!
