A lovely property in excellent condition.
Well heated for winter with logs provided for the log burner and as much crockery, cutlery and cooking utensils as we could wish for. Very comfortable and spacious. Great cooker. Great view and lovely spa tub. Good info about the area. Only not 5* because, being so far in the country, the wifi was pretty bad - we were warned. Given that, it would have been nice to see a book or two. We were back from the supermarket when we noticed only the two dishwasher tablets. And we had forgotten firelighters. Minor things in a lovely week. Sue was very welcoming.
A great site for a multi generational family retreat with gorgeous views.
Owners were accessible and helpful. They installed stairgates for us prior to our arrival (would recommend with mobile little ones as there are some tiled steps down to the kitchen). Hot tub is a real bonus and we made use of the laundry facilities. Good local pubs a short drive away. We hope to stay again!
The property is located in a peaceful spot overlooking green fields and is a lovely tranquil setting.
The house itself is wonderful. It was spotlessly clean, very well equipped and has a welcoming feel to it. Sue, our host is very friendly and met us when we first arrived to show us around the house and mentioned local things that might be of interest. There is plenty of onsite parking and outdoor seating and the hot tub was a fabulous addition to our stay. We all had a fabulous time and voted unanimously to return again in the spring. Thank you Sue and see you again in 2027!
