Only 1 slight problem for us was the lift not working which was serviced near the end of our holiday and made operational

We had a lovely stay, the facilities were great.

Everything you could want, a few things need addressing. The shower in the main bedroom floods, possible slip hazard. The lip of the shower needs to be bigger to catch the excess water, used towels to mop up. Could be a slip hazard. This had been highlighted in other reviews. The bed in main room needs replacing even with the topper is just not working. A chair would also help, to sit on while doing hair make up. We ended up sleeping in the smaller room. These are constructive criticism, aimed at making the stay more comfortable. Loved the location, we will stay again. Just the beds and shower to make it more perfect

A lovely 1st floor apartment right on the main road.

Lovely well equipped kitchen/living area with balcony. Lovely to gave 2 roons ensuite,and another loo .Couple of snags on arrival but sorted by the owner, easy to contact. Walking distance to the fab beach, plenty of places to eat and drink, and a useful spar shop. Parking for tge car another plus. Only thing id mention is the mattresses, really too soft . But we had a very enjoyable stay there.

Would echo some previous comments.

Showers are tricky. The main double bedroom has a very poor lip on the shower floor, making it difficult not to flood the room. The shower for the single bedroom is difficult to get into. In both bathrooms, the extractor fan didn't work. The balcony glass surround is frosted glass, so there is no view when sitting down. The location on the map is not accurate. It is not situated between Sea Shanty and The Stores; it is at the top of the road to the beach next to the Indian restaurant. Overall, a great place to stay.

Overall very well presented, comfortable and welcoming property.

Good location for local eateries. The extractor fans didn’t work - ok for our visit but will prove a mouldy problem in the near future. The double bed would benefit from a king size duvet as the current one is a bit skimpy for the size of bed - albeit a very comfortable bed.

Another fabulous holiday in Treaddur Bay with the added bonus of glorious weather.

Super accommodation.

Great location, modern and warm with plenty of hot water.

The mattress in the main bedroom is memory foam, and there wasn't a mattress protector on it or any of the pillows. I could not sleep on it so used the bed in the other bedroom. The socket that the toaster was plugged into was loose and dangerous. The extractor fan in en-suite does not work. But in all lovely accommodation , just needs some TLC and time to address some issues to make it a five star.

On stripping beds when leaving we found the mattress covers were badly stained and dirty ☹️ ☹️The bed in main room was hard and uncomfortable, also couch facing tv was uncomfortable to sit on.

Shower door in twin room was getting stuck all the time. Other than that it was nice accommodation to stay in.

My sister and I had a lovely week at this property.

We had an issue with the hot water when we arrived but after a phone call to Darren he quickly sent a plumber out to sort it. The apartment was very roomy and bright and equipped with everything we needed, beds comfortable. We will definitely book this property again.

An excellent stay in this lovely apartment.

Ideally positioned in an easy to find location. Fully equipped with a large living room/kitchen. Would definately stay here again.

3rd year on the run. Location is amazing. It's a really spacious apartment. Home from home. We love it. Also, a big thank you for the lovely afternoon tea gift box that greeted us when we arrived. We'll be back next year.

Shower kept flooding the floor , quite dangerous.

Had to phone owner for more towels as had to use others to mop up bathroom floor every time we had a shower

The property was well sited and of a high standard.

The cleanliness and high standard of the furnishings etc was immediately apparent. We had everything required within the apartment which enabled us to enjoy our holiday.

On arrival it was clear the apartment was not very clean, the furniture is a mish mash of bits and pieces and sofas were to low to sit on comfortably,patio furniture was filthy and obviously not been cleaned.

The door to the patio was stiff and difficult to open and close.The following morning after taking a shower the floor was awash with water only after reading the folder there it mentioned the patio door and shower problem, in fact the whole apartment is in need of a serious upgrade. carpets are all frayed in the doorways. it must of taken longer to type out the problems than to fix them. I do not consider this property up to the standard that we are used to from Sykes cottages.

Stayed her for the early May Ban Holiday weekend.

Absolutely loved staying in this apartment, great location for walking to all our favourite restaurants, didn’t need to use the car at all during our long weekend! Very clean and well equipped apartment and we will definitely be back.

We found this property exceptionally well equipped and furnished to a very high standard.

It was warm,comfortable and very welcoming. The arrival,by postal delivery,of the Cornish Cream Tea pack during our stay was as welcome as it was unexpected- a unique welcome pack in our experience. The local countryside is spectacular, South Stack being a highlight, and all the locals in the shops and pubs were very friendly. This was our third stay and we look forward to coming again.

The apartment is in a fantastic location and we had a lovely break.

We stayed as a family of 4 with 2 young kids (7&3). Unfortunately it gets a 3-star review as the cleanliness of the property was somewhat lacking. The washing machine was disgusting and filled with hair and black mould. I had to clean it before using it. Same with the dishwasher. It's a shame really as regular maintenance would fix these issues before they even appear. The list goes on, the anti slip mats in the bathrooms hadn't been cleaned under. The mattresses haven't got any protectors on so when we removed the sheets before leaving it revealed what we had been sleeping on.. The door to the balcony is near impossible to close. We opened it once and didn't bother again. It said in the welcome folder that the owners know the door isn't great - so fix it! As I said at the beginning on the review it's not all negative. The location is really great. In less than 5 mins walk you could be at the beach, playground or at one of the restaurants that are along the main road. The kids loved rock pooling, running along the beach and stopping at the playground on the walk back. Holyhead is only 5 mins drive away. Lots of supermarkets, takeaways and a cinema! Had it been cleaned it would've been an easy 5 star review! Whoever reads this, if the reviews about the cleanliness improve 100% book this place. The location really is worth checking out if you've got a young family!

contacted the owner on arrival to the property and the only resolution she offered was for us to leave the property and give us a refund.

We got there at 7 pm on a school half term week. So this was not viable. Instead I decided to change the beds myself and launder the bedding and then make the beds. I also cleaned the second bedroom as it was Very dirty and one of the beds was broken. I attach video and photo evidence Please contact me to provide me with information on how you are going to recompense me for the unsanitary conditions and inconvenience and stress caused after a 7 hours drive. It ruined the holiday

The property was great, central near beach, restaurants and shops.

Owner was really helpful when we couldn’t find the key safe. Apartment beautifully clean, everything you needed was on hand. Being short of stature the microwave was a little challenging. I personally found the pillows and twin mattresses far too soft and the covers etc were a little tired. I could understand why we were forbidden to use the lift, as the apartment would be ideal for those with mobility issues….. if you could use the lift. Great stay, will definitely be back to Trearddur….. but would have to bring my own pillows if we stay here

Excellent apartment, great location and well equipped.

We found 4 Y Bae to be comfortable, warm, and well appointed.

You know sometimes you can be disappointed when you get to your holiday accommodation...Not here, everything was on hand. Really enjoyed our week with an excellent base to return to

Second time we have stayed at this apartment, location is great for us, close to beach and all amenities, enjoyed our week stay made more pleasant as we had beautiful weather.

The apartment was clean and had what we needed, the bedding was clean but needed replacing a welcome pack would have been a nice touch.

Apartment in a good situation in the village near beach, restaurants and shop.

A modern, light airy apartment with plenty of room. Unfortunately the standard of cleaning was very poor. Food debris in the microwave, poor standard of cleanliness eg saucepan, crockery and glasses. The dishwasher was broken, dirty and smelly inside with food debris in the bottom. The washing machine soap dispenser was black with mould whilst 2 of the bathroom cabinet’s shelves had black liquid on them. The balcony door was difficult to lock which the owner temporarily rectified whilst attempts were made to arrange for a plumber to fix the dishwasher but we decided to cope without its use. It was also frustrating that we had to ask for hand towels,Tea Towels and black rubbish bags which were all missing from the apartment. All these issues disrupted and spoilt the beginning of our stay. It is also worth knowing that there is frosted glass on the balcony so no view when sitting down. This is a lovely apartment so it is unfortunate to have to mark it down.

Excellent apartment to stay in.

I couldn’t fault it.

The property is in a good location - a two minute walk to beach with local eateries the same distance - the property was excellent very neat tidy and clean - you cannot get a view of the beach from appartment 4 which is where we stayed.

The two seater chair on the balcony was broken and un-usable. There was a small oversite in that the towels had not been changed but we had our own and were only there 3 nights - overall a nice place to stay and explore the area.

When arriving at the property we could not access the key safe to the left of the main door as per instructions after making a phone call we realised that the key safe was actually around the corner from the main door on the left side.

Apartment was large and well equipped with the advantage of having an en-suite for both bedrooms and an additional toilet. Just a few little suggestions would be a table on the balcony, maybe a nest of tables in the living room area, a broom and dust pan and brush would have been useful and also a guest book to see other guest comments. Enjoyed our stay even though the weather was a bit overcast and dull most days.

Fantastic modern apartment in a convenient location in Trearddur Bay.

This is our second visit to Y Bae , we previously stayed in a ground floor apartment, number 4 feels much bigger due to the layout of furniture, the design is a credit to the owner, everything you need, hairdryer, washing machine, a big smart TV ,comfy Emma mattress in the main bedroom etc.. Yes you still get road noise due to the location but the views are great. The only thing that let the apartment down was the cleaning, I feel that house keeping just gave it the once over , not sure if it was it was between Christmas and New Year but they let the owner down, we had an issue with the spare room bedding and towels which the owner immediately sorted and provided brand new bedding, he was great to deal with and quick to sort out any issues at all. We had a great New Year’s holiday in Trearddur, the White Eagle in Rhoscolyn has amazing food, the Oceans Edge restaurant is great for views and food, also recommend the Chinese take out next door..fabulous. Thank you for a great stay. Besides the cleaning issue, number 4 Y Bae is really lovely, modern and I would definitely re-book..

We had a really lovely stay in Treaddur Bay.

The weather was not too bad and we had 2 really lovely meals in The Sea Shanty, cannot recommend this place enough. While the apartment was clean and lots of things provided, we did not find the sofas as comfy as we thought they would be. Being on the small side I found it a little difficult getting on and off the stools at the breakfast bar. Luckily we did not use the lift for our first trip upstairs without out bags. Probably just as well because as we read the Welcome Pack we discovered we were not allowed to use the lift. Luckily we are 2 fit over 70 year olds so not a problem for us to climb the stairs. But we felt this should be noted in the information on Sykes website. The instructions on the recyling also needs to be updated. There was not black bin, but luckily the red bin was clearly marked with a number 4. We will definitely be visiting Anglesey again, and probably this apartment.

..4 Y Bae was tastefully furnished and had a lovely homely feel to it... It was within walking distance of the beach and a few restaurants and only a couple of miles away from a retail outlet...everywhere on the island was easily accessible...

Enjoyed it just as much as the first. Great property!

Place was great very spacious and really close to beach and other facilities.

Host was helpful but welcome pack included everything you need and is a good guide to local spots. The place is really well equipped we cooked breakfast mainly and the kitchen had everything you need. We would definitely stay again.

A luxurious apartment, only 5 minutes walk to the lovley beach.

We enjoyed the lovley well equipped kitchen, and the luxurious en suite shower room. Hotel style quality!! Parking was nice, our allocation outside property. Tesco food delivery was great, and local restaurants were good! Recycling was disappointing, as we had to take bottles and cans to supermarket. No food recycling, or paper. We loved our holiday!! Would like to return someday!!

The property was great, probably one of the best we have ever stayed in.

One note is the key security pad is not with the other 6 access boxes marked 1-6. If you stand facing the main entrance, walk to the left around the corner and the security box is the middle one marked 4. Easy when you know how.

Apartment is beautiful, clean, spacious, and two minute walk to the beach.

We had a fantastic holiday. Ideal for our young family. Traffic can be a little noisy at peak times. Recommend taking an eye-mask as the curtains (although pretty) don't keep any light out. Wish I had taken a mobile blackout blind for the children as they really struggled to sleep. Note to owner: one outdoor chair leg was broken and needs removing, luckily we noticed before anyone sat on it. Also, please think about adding a full length mirror.

Beautiful apartment which is ideally situated.

To be honest the only complaint was the cleanliness, hairs all over the floor and cooker not been cleaned. The actual apartment was well set out and had every appliance and utensil we needed. Balcony was amazing as we had a week of sun so stayed out at night and each afternoon watching the world go by. Would recommend a wall mirror In main bedroom as only small one to use when drying hair. Would definitely return and recommend to others just needed better housekeeping.

It's certainly ideally situated for all the facilities of Trearddur Bay; the beach, the restaurants the pubs (without being noisy). The apartment is spacious and comfortable. The owner was easily contacted and dealt with a small problem very quickly.

This is a lovely comfortable spacious apartment, beautifully furnished, with everything you need to enjoy your holiday, the only down side however was some road noise in the front bedroom from the main road, if your a light sleeper, but it wont stop us going back as soon as we can

The high quality finish of this apartment was outstanding and the location perfect.

A stones throw from the beach and amenities and as with mist things on Anglesey, a short drive to places to visit like South Stack and Rhosneigr. The Oceans Edge restaurant was superb and just a short walk away. Would thoroughly recommend a stay here.

Two previous reviews mention the TV, so to set the record straight the remote is pretty standard and simple to operate.

And yes, the signal through the arial is poor, but the broadband is plenty powerful enough to stream anything you need. However, talking about the TV is missing the point, this is a great apartment. It’s deceptively spacious. There is bags of storage space and every room was spotless. The kitchen is well equipped, but we barely used it. Unlike other areas we have visited on Anglesey, Trearddur has loads of great restaurants and all are within a stone’s throw of the apartment, as is access to the coastal path and beach. We will visit Trearddur again and if 4 Y Bae is available it will be a very easy decision on where we stay. Great holiday and great apartment. Thank you.

Lovely cosy apartment to come back to after walking the stunning coastal footpath, we really appreciated the drying cupboard as we had heavy rain every day!

It had everything we needed and was within a few steps of several nice restaurants. It was a pity that you couldn’t let us book a full week as the day we had to leave was the only warm sunny day!! Some instructions for the complicated TV remote would have been much appreciated, we eventually resorted to YouTube for them!!

The apartment is absolutely lovely, bigger than the pictures show and the decor is fabulous .

. everything you could possibly need and perfect location - if I had to be really picky … the description of where the key box is could be better and a light there would be good had to use our phone lights … and tv Ariel .. especially for people visiting in winter months .. was really bad signal if at all … but otherwise amazing stay and property .. thank you
