The Beach House Trearddur Bay

The exterior of the bungalow is tired and shabby looking as are parts on the interior.

The decking and garden furniture need maintenance. Some cushions for the garden furniture but they were grubby. Garden front and back, weeds in borders and coming through cracks in concrete. Porch, dirty & full of debris door mat filthy, plastic ceiling full of rust spots, weather cill to door dirty. Windows need cleaning inside as do the inner window frames which were full of black gunge. Master bedroom, shower ran hot then cold constantly, also needed a good clean. Skirting boards full of dust. Lounge, skirtings rotten by the glass doors, damp ingress and paint peeling on chimney breast. No welcome pack. No tea, coffee sugar - never not had a small amount provided as standard, in addition to a welcome pack. Generally disappointing in view of the fact that it is the owners own holiday home and the price paid. I expected better than this.

We had a really enjoyable and comfortable stay.

The property was well presented, clean, and perfect for our family - 5 adults and 4 year old grandson - with hot tub and plenty of parking space. The large garage has a pool table, toys, and a dart board (though not enough darts - my son had to order a set from Amazon which were delivered to the cottage the following day!) It was actually too windy during our stay to go on the beach, but that was just a stroll away, as was the Sea Shanty cafe, which we could really recommend.

Amazing last minute break in Anglesey, our first visit and won’t be the last.

The Beach House is perfectly situated for coastal walks and visiting the many incredible birdwatching places on Anglesey. There was only two of us but the bungalow is spacious and if you are a large group, plenty of rooms for your own space if required. The kitchen is well equipped and plenty of good choices for eating out locally. Looking forward to returning one day.

The property was immaculate and had everything we needed- so well equipped, in a fantastic location and tastefully decorated.

I would definitely recommend to others. The hot tub, pool room and wide selection of children’s toys is excellent. I deducted one point on review for the request made by the owner for guests to strip all beds and collect laundry in bags at the end of the stay. This is quite an onerous request, especially on a 2 night stay where it takes a fair while to complete this task and when checkout is at 10am.

Beautiful house with superb facilities and touches that made our stay.

We enjoyed the hot tub every day, played pool, board games and even used the kayak twice and I am the Gran of the party! One of the TVs had some interference but that didn't impact on our stay as we had plenty to do. Treaddur Bay is a wonderful area with lots of interesting beaches and wild life. Plenty of good places to eat. All in all a marvellous place to stay.

The most amazing place for a family weekend away!

Perfect location. Everything you could possibly need within the property and more! Would be returning in summer if it wasn’t fully booked!

We stayed as a family for 4 nights to celebrate my 60th birthday.

Plenty of room for us all. The hot tub was a big hit. Short walk to main beach in Trearrdur Bay. We hired a swimming pool at Instant Swim just a short distance from the property which was a great experience. We all loved the nice break here.

Lots of fun and laughter. The Beach House is very comfortable , clean and well equipped . Location is great for accessing all that Trearddur Bay offers. We love this place.

We love the beach house.

It is our 2nd stay here, as a family of 10. It is very well equipped, with beautiful views across the bay. Easy walking distance of local shop and restaurants. The hot tub was great, and also the games room kept everyone busy. The heating system was very effective, as the weather was not the best at times. The only thing was the single mattresses were a little lumpy, but nothing we couldnt put up with. Also a nice touch, the owner gives a courtesy call to make sure everything is ok. Would definitely recommend the Beach House.

Lovely cosy property.

Great location and facilities. Loved the hot tub, log fire and playing pool. Lots of space for us to spread out. Enjoyed coastal walks from the doorstep, no need to use the car.

The Beach House is a beautiful home in a stunning seaside location.

Everything you could ask for in a holiday home. Spacious, clean, well-equipped, quiet. Lovely gardens to the front and rear with plenty of outdoor seating. Across the road from the sea and only a ten minute flat walk to beautiful Trearddur Bay with golden sand, sparkling sea and great places to eat and drink. Holyhead retail park is five minutes by car and has all the big supermarkets if you decide to make use of the beautiful new kitchen. We had a very relaxing week in The Beach House and would highly recommend it, thank you.

What a lovely, comfortable house!

We had a fantastic stay , managed to get all the family together with plenty of room for us all! Hot tub was an enormous hit, used evenings after a busy day exploring. Lovely location, fantastic views,we all loved it! Well equipped house, lovely setting, great for walks along the beach. Lovely eating places within walking distance. Would highly recommend.

Was lovely to be within walking distance of the sea. Went with our two daughters and their families - 10 of us altogether. Our 4 young grandchildren loved playing in the garden and we all enjoyed the hot tub!! Very nice, clean and spacious property. The barbecue could do with being replaced and probably a bigger one would be better. The garage and book shelf could do with a bit of a sort out and tidy. Also the outside of the property looks better on the Sykes website than in reality (Please accept these comments as constructive criticism). Apart from these few little negatives, which can easily be sorted - we thoroughly loved every minute our holiday there. Loved all the pictures, plaques and ornaments around the house and there was a great homely feel about the place. Could certainly tell it is a much loved family home, so thank you. Would certainly recommend this brilliant accommodation in such an amazing location too. We definitely would be more than happy to stay there again …with no hesitation at all! Many thanks!!

A lovely week at The Beach House with our granddaughter, her ‘relax’ week after her exams.

We were very comfortable and happy with everything. We’ll be back same week next year, with our grandson, after his exams. Not sure what reason we’ll use the year after, run out of grandchildren then

We felt spoilt being the first ones to use a brand spanking kitchen.The owners have thought of everything to make our stay home from home.Lovely area lovely Trearddur Bay will visit again.

We have just spent a long weekend here for my sister hen and we have all absolutely loved it.

The house is perfect, loads of space, spotless and has everything you could need whilst away. The weather wasn't great for us but we did manage to have a dip in the hot-tub which was lovely. Would definitely recommend staying her. We also had a nice bottle of wine waiting for us on arrival which I thought was a lovely touch. Thankyou

A best place to spend your holiday.

The house is fully packed with all the essentials, books,toys etc . Well organised for all different types of age groups. Well cleaned. Highly recommend.

The Beach House had everything we needed.

There was 7 of us staying and was enough room for everyone to sit (not always the case in other properties we have stayed at) Everything needed in the kitchen was available. The only gripe we had was the mattresses need turning or replacing. Other than that, I would highly recommend The Beach House

Lovely property, everything we needed was available.

The layout was perfect, the beds comfortable the kitchen well stocked. Great access to the Beach, Bars and local restaurants all within a short walk. If I could find any fault, (which was minor) was the area around the hot tub and the back garden. Needed a bit of TLC. Our family, with an 18 month toddler in tow, enjoyed every minute and would go back tomorrow. Big thank you from the Browns x

Great place to stay, the property had everything that we needed and we loved the little helpful tips which were in the most convenient of places.

The only small point I would make is that a couple of the rooms could do with a lick of paint, other than that everything was great, Thanks.

Spent a lovely long weekend with friends.

Great space to chill out and watch the sea. The house had everything we needed. Great lounge with log burner, fantastic kitchen with an island and little snug ideal for our kitchen disco! The bedrooms had loads of storage we loved it. It’s in a great location to go exploring. Would recommend this for friends or family it’s ticks every box was sad to leave but we will be back.

We had a great stay.

Everyone thought the property was fab. Only issue we had was the dishwasher wouldn't work, said error the whole time. No biggy at all though we just washed up. Beautiful views from the house and the little decking area was perfect for afternoon drinks in the sun with a great view.

5 adults stayed at The Beach House, one of which is special needs and blind.

It is a beautiful big bungalow with very few steps. The rooms are all a fantastic size. Everywhere was spotless. We only used the hot tub once but it provided plenty of laughter. The kitchen is amazing with a stunning view from the sink. There was everything you could think of in the kitchen inc a very nice bottle of wine. Great place for getting around from. Some nice restaurants and a fab Chinese takeaway all within walking distance. We would all definitely return.

What a fabulous location and generous sized property.

Easy off road parking with space for several cars. An easy flat walk along to Trearddur Bay where we spent a lot of our time. Beautiful sandy beach nestled amongst rocky coves. Great places to eat out. Larger retail complex just a few minutes drive away in Holyhead. We were very comfortable in the Beach House and had a lovely relaxing break. Thank you.

The house, massive by the way, is more than an idyllic spot for adventure.

It is in the most ideal spot foe peace and quiet and near enough to the facilities. Beach and eateries all really close. The rooms were brilliant for all, the equipment worked and the extras not listed were fantastic. Hot tub was great. If I had to add any requirements then it would be the upgrade needs for the house, it has not been renovated for a little while and could do with it. The renovation is not going to stop people wanting to use this beautiful place. We enjoyed it massively. Thank you David and Claire.

A large house on a good plot, ideally laid out to accommodate the 10 person capacity.

With some good facilities and a fantastic location. However an unusual style of presentation, and poor cleanliness and maintenance meant that for us that the full potential of the property was not realised.

An absolutely gorgeous stay; you really have thought of everything for the whole family!

Great facilities with plenty of bathrooms, utility room, outside tap, lots of storage, play room for the kids and a large living room for us all to relax in the evening. There was 8 in our group (3 families) we had plenty of room for our own space or to come together as a family group. BBQs were great fun, kayak was a brilliant adventure and plenty of equipment in the house too. I would suggest upgrading the BBQ as this one was a little tired. But it works fine really. Also the information book needs a little updating; we had to take a trip to the minor injuries unit whilst there so I updated the number in the book for this as it was wrong. Overall an absolutely perfect stay and we had the BEST time; highly recommend this house and the very thoughtful owners that have covered all basis!

Wonderful location and property.

We were three generations and all had a superb time. Nothing to do with the property but we had a tyre burst on our car. Due to the type/size of tyre, we had to wait 24 hrs for a tyre to be brought to the island. The property owners went above and beyond to help.

We had a great holiday in Treaddur and enjoyed the space in the Beach House.

The hot tub was well used, as was the games room. As two families together, it was nice to have space to spread out, as well as enjoying the shared spaces. We all commented on how comfortable the beds were (so thank you for the quality matresses!). Would certainly recommend to other groups or families. There were a few lightbulbs that needed replacing in the kitchen.

This was the perfect set up for us with a large, safe environment for our 2 and 4 year old grandchildren to play happily. None of us wanted to leave.

Beautiful home away from home, clean, perfectly located.

The thought and care that went into making this an amazing break was truly appreciated. Be aware listing does not state that it has every family game you could think off, every household cleaning products needed, use of bikes canoes wetsuits. You really just need to pack clothes and food. - I wish I’d known I could’ve packed much lighter. Wonderful surprise to have new bathrooms not shown in the pics. Great helpful yet unintrusive host, we will definitely return.

personal comments from myself as a 6 foot three registered blind man. Things I really liked. Great up lighting, no low ceiling lights to avoid. Four poster Bed really comfortable with no footboard, brilliant. Ensuite shower Mounted high enough for me to stand under with ease and push button controls simple to use. plenty of seating in communal rooms with plenty of space and no cluttering ornaments on tables et cetera. Open and secure garden areas again with all facilities but no clutter. Tassimo machine for coffee so I could even brew up for myself. Big tick in the box. General comment from the party.… we had a great week, hot tub perfect, kayak and facilities all use excellent. The kitchen is extremely well equipped, with plenty of everything you need and more. Great information booklet, well worth a read itself gives good local history and all necessary information for a good stay. Great seating areas front and back, you can get the Sun wherever it is. Just great to sit out. luxury is a personal description, for us we wanted practicable, comfortable place away from home from home we could enjoy for a week and that is exactly what we got great place to stay. if I was looking to suggest any improvements, which would be picky , it would be A fold out or drop down awning in front or back so you could sit out even as a son shade or cover if the weather is a little inclement. overall a great time was had by all, definitely will be returning. Great location great facilities.

Pool table and hot tub were a great bonus

the Beach House was situated in a wonderful location, however the house was looking a little tired, the beds were extremely uncomfortable, the x box on show was not working, the TV's were not working , we did go and buy batteries for the remote s which did rectify this, the pool table has past its best.

there are lots of electrical wires on show in one lounge , electric towel rail not working , The kitchen was well equipped. Garden furniture was very tired too, This is not Luxury accommodation.

The bungalow is literally across the road from a beautiful pebble beach.

We had a fantastic week at this beautiful cottage.

We are a party of 7 and our every need was catered for. The owners have thought of everything and was very well equipped, including lots of toys and games for younger guests, and the bottle of prosecco on arrival was a lovely touch and much appreciated. Both the hot tub and log fire were our personal favourites particularly visiting in the winter months. The cottage is in a fantastic location and enjoyed meals and drinks at all the pubs in Trearrdur Bay as well as visiting The South Stack lighthouse and Aber Falls, and found the locals to be very helpful and friendly people. We loved our stay at Trearrdur Bay and can't wait to return.

Everything you need has been thought of, children loved the toys books and bunk beds, parents loved the large buggy, log fire and hot tub, Grandparents loved the location, the local restaurant The Black Seal and walking along the beach.

We all had a most memorable 3 night stay for New Year 2020 would highly recommend.

Well, that must be a record.

Our grandkids went for a whole week without mentioning that four letter word - IPAD - once! They, and the grown ups, were too busy enjoying themselves. The Beach House is a fabulous place to stay. The photos don't really do it justice. It is much larger than it appears and well equipped. The hot tub and canoe were much appreciated. As was getting thrashed at table soccer by my six year old grandson! He does an unstoppable scorpion kick (and cheats!). We were blessed with decent weather so had a bbq most nights. Munching cornflakes and downing tassimo coffee for breakfast on the sun terrace at the front - joy. As one of the other reviews says, the property is starting to need a little tlc. Nevertheless it didn't detract from our holiday. It probably ranks as one of, if not the, best holidays we've ever had. Trearrdur is uncommercialised, with just a couple of very nice places to eat and a lovely beach. For us a major attraction. The owners provide alot of useful information and are very helpful if you have a problem. Thank you Claire and David for letting us share your wonderful second home. Prosecco in the hot tub, much appreciated!!!

Fantastic accomodation provided by the owners, excellent position.

We loved the hot tub

The house itself is nice though we wouldn't agree with the "luxury" tag.

When we arrived it was barely surface clean. There were dead flies and thick dust on window ledges, a leaking toilet pipe in the ensuite and mould on both the ensuite bathroom ceiling and the walls of the children's bedroom. The garage was filthy and the window pane cracked. There was also dog excrement in both front and back gardens - not great when you have three children under 5 exploring! The house itself is nice and the toys, garden toys etc are great but the cleanliness really let's it down and it in no way meets "luxury" standard. We would visit the area again but would find alternative accomodation. I don't know how the cleaning side of things is run, but this is the second cottage we've rented through Sykes that has had really poor cleanliness upon arrival. For this reason, I won't be using Sykes again.

The pictures do not represent how good the beach house is and the actual size of it is truly surprising.

We had brilliant weather on our stay and found lots lovely things to do. All in all a great place.

The Beach House in Treaddur Bay I booked blew all expectations out of the water, everything described on the site was accurate and up to a brilliant standard.

The whole booking was quick and easy, regular updates via email and clear instructions from the owners were provided. We had an amazing weekend and can't wait to go again. The location was fabulous, and the house itself was a short walk to pretty much everything we would need from beaches to pubs to Chinese restaurants and shops. 10 out of 10 all round in my opinion.

Sykes are always so well organised and the house is wonderful. It is on the beach, close to amenities and so well appointed. We thoroughly enjoy using the hot tub and having a real fire! We will go again next year because the whole holiday is fab. Totally recommend Sykes and The Beach House.

You can definitely tell that the owners stay at The Beach House themselves as they have everything covered and more.

The hot tub was a great favourite with all three generations who stayed. The safe garden and play equipment was much appreciated and well used, not to mention all the things in the garage. The Chariot was especially useful when going to the sandy beach. After tea the snug was taken over by the children playing on the Xbox allowing some of the adults to have a little quiet time in the lounge. The kitchen has plenty of utensils/pots/cutlery and crockery. The children especially liked having cocktails in the hot tub using the coloured plastic stemmed glasses (filled with water!!). The bedrooms are comfy and there are plenty of bath/shower rooms. The location is ideal. I'm sure we'll be booking again.

Fabulous place great views short walking distance to sandy beach cafe shops and pubs and brilliant rock pools right in front for crab hunting and walking over would definitely return and we didn’t really want to leave .

The Beach House in Trearddur Bay was the perfect location for our family holiday.

There were 9 of us in our group - 6 adults and 3 children - and everyone had a fantastic time. The cottage was absolutely brilliant in every way - loads of space, 4 beautiful bedrooms (the main one had an ensuite shower room) plus two further bathrooms one which included a bath as well as a shower which was great for the children. which is so useful when you are a large group. The cottage was really well equipped, particularly the kitchen, and the hot tub was great fun. There was also a utility room which had a large larder fridge (this was in addition to the fridge and freezer in the kitchen itself) so there was plenty of room to store food items. The kitchen/diner with the family/play room at the back of the house was a fantastic space as it meant everyone could be together and the children just loved the playroom with its well stocked bookcase of books, CD's, DVD's, games and toys plus the wall mounted TV. The large lounge at the front of the property also has a large wall mounted TV and had plenty of seating for everyone. This was a lovely place for the adults to relax in the evenings and the lounge also has bi-folding doors which open onto a beautiful veranda that overlooks the bay which is the perfect place to sit and watch the sun go down in the evenings. The Beach House is great for all ages as the location is perfect with the sea and beach just across the road and the house more than met our expectations for comfort, cleanliness, facilities and relaxation so I would highly recommend it. I am sure we will be booking again in the future and one really nice touch was that the owners rang us on our arrival to ensure that we were happy with the house and had everything we needed.

Had a lovely stay at the Beach House in Anglesey.

The house was amazing, very homely. The Jacuzzi was a nice added touch. The games room was fantastic and kept the children (and adults) entertained. The contact with the owners was great and they were readily available to help with any enquiry. Would definitely consider another stay there soon. The surroundings were great. Lovely walks and plenty of places to eat and drink.

Staying at the Beach House was an amazing experience, the quantity and quality of the toys books and beach equipment provided far exceeded our expectations.

Excellent cottage - lovely location just over the road from small bay and very well equipped with everything you could need.

We loved our stay at The Beach House and were blessed with some stunning autumn weather!

Great communication with the owner prior to arriving and the house was perfect to accommodate extended family. Everything has been thought about and you really want for nothing. Great views, lovely walks, some great places to eat nearby and lots to keep the kids busy in the house.

Nice holiday home, great views and location, shopping area a short drive away, beach a short walk, a nice holiday home.

Being able to use the kayak, life jackets, children's toys, bikes and push chairs made the holiday exceptional.

It is lovely being so close to a beach too.
