"Hi we had a lovely stay at the house and luckily had great weather."
Sadly a few things let the property down which could easily be resolved.
We were unable to cook using the oven as it was dirty inside and created a lot of smoke when turned. There were also areas that could have done with a clean including inside the kitchen drawers (bits of food) and cob webs behind furniture, smears on the shower.
There was some damage we noted on arrival including the curtains / rail being on the floor in the dining area, the bath taps being loose, a loose cupboard door in the kitchen, and a loose banister on the 3rd floor.
The bins were full on our arrival and we left these out for collection on our last day, however there was no information book for guests which I think would be helpful to support these matters and avoid refuse building up. We ended up taking recycling home with us which isn’t ideal.
The house and location are overall great it is a shame that it isn’t maintained to a better standard as I can see that similar comments have been left years ago and still haven’t been resolved.

"Where do I start, paid £1800 for 5 nights which looked to be a nice property but on the arrival we started noticing issues at the property."
Dirty cushions on the dining chairs, dirty sofa. Mouldy curtain in bedroom, curtains rail kept falling due to having heavy curtains in the dinning room, shower drainage system is blocked, dining plates are so old with lots of marks,if I were you I will avoid booking such a property

"We had a wonderful stay at this property."
The house was clean, spacious, and very well organised, located in a quiet and peaceful area. The check-in process was smooth, and the staff were friendly and welcoming.
Everything in the house was in excellent condition, and the kitchen was well equipped with mostly new utensils. The property had a lovely fresh scent upon arrival, which gave a great first impression.
Overall, we really enjoyed our stay and felt that everything we needed was provided. We would happily recommend this property to others.

"We had one glitch with a blown fuse that energized the alarm system when turned back on, but the guest book led us to Anthony who was able to find the code and from there we were all good."
We appreciated the early bag drop very, very much as the time between ferry arrival and check-in was a stretch for some of our group. I'll book the extra night next time.
Overall, loved the house and all involved with our booking.

"Property smelt of damp."
Needs some deceration repairs and maintance. Could not get bottom cooker to work. Light bulb blown on stairs.could do with a toilet on top floor.
Information pack por, no welcome pack. So we're not fully aware of what to do with rubbish, no linen bags left for laundry.
Had an issue on last day, called Michelle to explain and she was very understanding.

"House not looked after, dirty cupboards, cups, shower screens, dust on surfaces, marks and leaves on carpets."
Not heated so smelt damp for a couple of days.Top of dishwasher broken, several light bulbs blown, remotes not working as batteries including the spares were dud. Also found someone elses washing in the washing machine. Pity as house was nicely furnished and the beds were very comfortable. Photos taken due to the £500 bond. Not Sykes usual standard.

"Lyngaran house was a perfect size and location for our family of 10."
The house was clean, tidy and had everything we needed for our stay. We found that the downstairs shower was so hot that we couldn’t use it. The washer was next to the shower room and even that was hot when the clothes had been put on a 30 degree wash.. so obviously something wrong with that thermostat downstairs. So the 10 of us had to use the upstairs shower, which at times was like a “drive through” and it started overflowing by the end of the week. The house was clean but some of the decor needed sorting, ie looked like damp had come through or a leak in a couple of the ceilings. There was also spiders and cobwebs in the corners of the skirting boards and ceilings in most of the rooms. But I suppose there’s only so much cleaning you can do on turnaround day. The kitchen is good size, lots of crockery and everything you need. We used the bbq and spent a lot of time in the big garden. Would recommend to others but make them aware of the things I’ve mentioned. Just needs a bit of maintenance and we wouldn’t hesitate to stay again.

"Absolutely filthy broken stuff kettle needs de-scaling and dishes have rust and mould on them as haven't been washed and put away properly."
Uncleaned floors oven absolutely filthy broken curtains stained furniture and disgusting and filthy dining room chairs . Broken toilet seats and shower left unclean in downstairs bathroom. When I called the manager after the 3rd attempt she answered to advise the owners of the property don't pay her to manage the property so she doesn't over see it any more. I have pictures and have escalated to Sykes and they seem to be quite about it too. However today iv noticed I have been charges £40 when all we have done is clean the property. I have taken copies of previous feedback left in the visitors book and every one has the same feed back. There is mould on the walls and spiders and cobweb galore all over the house. On a plus side the beds were the only positive side comfy so if your not into cleanliness and are not going to eat in the property you will be fine. Overall lovely big house if it got the care and cleaning it requires it would be excellent. Definitely not up to Sykes standards.

"We had a fantastic week there with our family."
Everything was clean, comfortable and you had thought of everything that we could have needed. Our only suggestion would be to turn the double bed on the first floor maybe to twin beds. As with being such a big house it will be families that rent it and it is easier for children to have their own beds rather than share! We would highly recommend it to anyone and it is in a nice quiet location. Thank you for a lovely stay.
