  • "Generally, this cottage was comfortable and well equipped."

    The owners were friendly and helpful. It was very quiet and peceful and overall, I enjoyed my stay here. On the downside, I didn't like the fact that the kitchen, which is at one end of the living room, has no blinds or curtains, nor does the hallway: it felt a bit like I was on display. Similarly, the ground floor bathroom window, which is directly behind the loo, has clear glass (but does have a blind). There is a communal garden area behind the kitchen and bathroom. All the windows needed cleaning, as did the standing lamp in the living room. Otherwise, it seemed pretty clean to me. Only one loo roll was provided (for this four-bed property) for a week, so I had to buy some. No towels are provided either. Despite these issues, I consider it to be a good quality holiday let compared to other places I've stayed in.

  • "A lovely cottage in a beautiful setting."

    Well equipped, and very comfy bed. A very friendly welcome from the property owner. Highlights included the private outside area which was a lovely spot in the evenings, and the nearby Sun Inn which we walked to a couple of times. Would certainly recommend Y Betws to others.

  • "Nice cottage in a quiet location and handy for nearby beaches and walks."

    Furniture in lounge area could do with updating as looking a bit shabby. Bedrooms are a good size and beds firm but comfortable. Plenty of room for parking.Good place for dogs, some lovely quiet beaches, Hells mouth beach only a mile or so away good for ball throwing. Nice shared garden and own private patio with table and chairs.

    A great spot to explore the Abersoch and Llyn peninsula Some great places to visit, beautiful beaches and good food to be had in particular Abersoch Yatch Club and Zinc in Abersoch centre- be aware book ahead.

  • "Had a lovely week at Y Betws."

    The cottage is beautiful and in a gorgeous location. It is v well equipped and tastefully decorated. Very clean and comfortable. The grounds are also beautiful.. well maintained with lovely flowers..nice to sit out and enjoy the view and peace and quiet :) Location is great for exploring all nearby beaches and little towns. Would highly recommend :)

  • "We absolutely loved our stay, the house, location were perfect and we would definitely go back and stay here again."

    I think it’s worth mentioning that the garden is shared with two other properties and not enclosed. This didn’t matter to us as we were out all day walking and the property next door was empty. We were asked to have our dog on the lead at all times which we were happy to do. I feel in the hight of summer this may have not been so easy, or If you spend all your time at the property. This is in no way a negative review, I just know it can be difficult if you can’t let you dog off the lead and roam around the garden.

This superb semi-detached barn conversion provides comfortable holiday accommodation that’s sure to delight all ages.

Y Betws (The Prayer House) is warm and welcoming with elegant furnishings and some antique pieces.

The open plan living area is bright and airy with a lovely sitting area, a dining area and a modern kitchen area that caters for all your needs.

The bedrooms are individually designed, the master room with a sumptuous double bed, and a twin room, both of which are serviced by a smart family bathroom.

A lovely rear courtyard enjoys a sunny aspect and is ideal for alfresco dining or just a relaxing glass of something after a busy day.

This wonderful property is an excellent base all year round.

Bwlch Farm Cottages

Abersoch 1 mile. A group of four beautifully-renovated holiday cottages, set around a courtyard, within the grounds of the owners’ home, on a non-working farm, surrounded by wonderful countryside and located on the edge of the little rural village of Llanengan and one mile from the popular seaside village of Abersoch on the Llyn Peninsula. These lovely cottages can be booked individually and will suit couples, family and friends wishing to spend time together or even extended families who may wish to book all or more than one of the cottages for that special anniversary or birthday celebration. These superb cottages have all been sympathetically renovated and finished with great care and attention to ensure your stay is an enjoyable one. These cottages ooze lots of charm and character and having been individually designed and decorated throughout with a lovely blend of neutral tones and warm shades with an eclectic array of antique, period and traditional pieces. There is off road parking and each cottage enjoys the benefit of a private patio area, along with shared access to a lawned garden. These cottages are in a lovely semi-rural location with the village of Abersoch close by and are ideally situated to enjoy the Llyn Peninsula's miles of scenic coastline, excellent cycling and renowned links golf courses with Abersoch Golf Club being just 1 mile away. There is sea and coarse fishing with boat trips to Bardsey Island and day trips into Snowdonia National Park. Just 6 miles away is the market town of Pwllheli, which offers more shops, pubs, restaurants, a marina and two beaches. Also within easy reach is the town of Criccieth with its castle and beach, and beyond that the famous Portmeirion village and gardens which are well worth a visit, along with the numerous delights of the Snowdonia National Park which can all be easily reached. There really is something for everyone, at any time of the year and these charming cottages provide the perfect base from which to enjoy all that this wonderful area has to offer.

ABERSOCH

Pwllheli 6 miles.

The attractive harbour village of Abersoch is situated on the Llyn Peninsula in a region of Wales renowned for its outstanding scenery and varied walking. The village, situated between two glorious bays, is one of the most popular sailing venues in North Wales and important sailing regattas are held there throughout the summer months. Numerous shops cater for the tourist as well as pubs, restaurants and cafes. There are also opportunities for golfers as there is a course just outside the village and horse riding facilities are also available nearby. Watersports enthusiasts are also well catered for, particularly windsurfing, water skiing and dinghy sailing, not to mention renowned surfing at Port Neigwl (Hell’s Mouth). The long, sandy Abersoch Main Beach is probably the most popular beach in the area. There is a wonderful selection of beaches in the surrounding area of the Llyn Peninsula, including the beautiful and often quiet Porth Ceriad, with it's high cliffs, and sandy Porth Oer ("Whistling Sands"). Most of the coastline is owned by the National Trust and there are many remote bays, sandy beaches and cliffs, as well as wildlife havens like Bardsey Island to explore.
