Tucked away in the countryside just 3.6 miles from Market Weighton, this charming retreat offers a true escape from everyday life while keeping shops, pubs and amenities within easy reach. Step up into your intimate hideaway and settle into one of the comfortable armchairs, throwing open the doors to let the rolling greenery frame your stay.

The well‑equipped kitchen area includes a microwave combi oven and fridge with ice box—perfect for relaxed suppers and sweet treats after a day exploring.

Enjoy meals at the breakfast bar overlooking the fields, or dine outside when the weather allows, accompanied by birdsong and far‑reaching views. As evening falls, pour a favourite drink and watch the sky soften into warm golden tones before darkness reveals a glittering blanket of stars.

MARKET WEIGHTON

York 19.3 miles

The pretty town of Market Weighton is one of the main market towns in the Yorkshire Wolds and lies 20 miles from York. With many Georgian and Victorian properties, including an 18th century coaching inn, Market Weighton also offers a varied choice of eateries. Within the town is a traditional village green with duck pond. This small town has a wide variety of shops, pubs and restaurants. The Yorkshire Wolds Way national trail, a long distance footpath, passes through the town which is surrounded by the gently rolling chalk hills. The nearby Kiplingcotes Derby run at Kiplingcotes in the East Riding of Yorkshire, is widely accepted to be the oldest annual horse race in the English sporting calendar. It reputedly began in 1519 and takes place on the third Thursday in March, often in exceptionally adverse weather conditions. The 500th race took place on 21 March 2019. It is run, not over a typical modern racecourse, but partly along the wide verge of a roadside.
