The Studio is a quiet place for a nice break.

The parking is a bit awkward but the bus stops to Scarborough and Bridlington via Filey are at the end of the road, a real plus for us as no need to search and pay for car parking.

Very disappointed in this property.

Booked last minute to meet up with friends. It is clear this had once been a very nice holiday rental but it has been very neglected. We don’t mind a bit tired, but unfortunately the property was stuffy and dirty. We had to buy wipes to clean the bathroom and all the surfaces. Dirty cutlery and dish drainer. Bed lined smelled bad - we also bought some to cover it over for the weekend. We would have called the owner and left immediately but had made complex arrangements with friends and didn’t want to let them down. First time we have had a problem with a Sykes letting. Property should not be listed until it has had a good clean and freshen up.

We had a very enjoyable week at The Studio, tucked away as it is in a quiet cul-de-sac adjoining some grassy fields in the small, but rapidly expanding, village of Cayton just 20 mins walk from Cayton Bay.

The property is attractive both outside and in, is deceptively spacious and nicely maintained. It's well equipped and was generally clean and fresh. Jon, the owner, was friendly and helpful. We'd give 4 1/2 star rating rather than 5 purely because we prefer a bath to a shower and, being older and less slim, found the shower a little snug!
