  • "A lovely spacious cottage, perfectly situated for Whitby."

Very well equipped and beautifully clean. Would definitely recommend and plan to revisit next year.

  • "It was a great property for us with a big golden retriever and two grandchildren."

It was spacious and comfortable but not luxurious . We liked the fact that it felt lived in and we weren’t having to feel worried about things. It had been well cleaned before we arrived and the beds were very comfortable. The kitchen was generally well equipped but more crockery would have been good. We would happily go back there.

Close enough to Whitby town itself and all the amenities. Fantastic views of the Abbey and beautiful sunsets at night. Perfect getaway from the hussle and bussle of everyday life.

The welcome pack was a lovely touch. It was clean to a very high standard and the beds extremely comfortable. The downstairs living area was spacious and comfortable. With the outside area as well it meant we could sit outside too, or play ball with our 7 year old granddaughter. I would certainly recommend this lovely cottage.

  • "Lovely cottage in beautiful location."

Kitchen is quite small for eight people especially with the table in it. It would be better if the table was in the huge lounge so eight could comfortably sit round it and put some extra worktops in thr kitchen. Bedrooms and bathrooms lovely with spectacular views but be careful of the headspace.

  • "The property is in a great location."

The facilities are great, everything you need and more! The cottage was very clean and the decor, soft furnishings, bedding etc were all of a high standard. The only thing we were disappointed with was the size of the kitchen. The large table & chairs (big enough to seat 8 people) takes up too much space, especially when you've got several people moving around in the kitchen. It would be better if the table & chairs were moved to the large spacious living room in my opinion. Apart from that we couldn't fault anything else and would recommend the property for people looking to explore the Whitby area.

The cottage is spacious and very homely and is lovely to come back to after a few hours spent exploring the area. The setting is scenic with fields all around and quiet most of the time (even though a main road runs behind it). Having taken our two dogs with us, the dog walking fields being part of the farmland were a huge bonus. The bathrooms were excellent and having the one down stairs as my 9 year old grand daughter has Cerebral Palsy made life so much easier. Comfortable beds but be aware the roof sloping if you are not careful is headache material. Plenty of parking space and a enclosed garden gave the grand children a nice play area. A nice dog walk area was a help in the mornings Loved the cottage and would definitely go back with the family. It is very comfortable downstairs, however the slope to all of the bedroom ceilings meant that although the rooms looked spacious for at least a quarter of the room I couldn’t stand upright and I am only 5 foot tall. My husband and the rest of the party are much taller than me so they had more of a problem. I can’t comment on the owners as I didn’t meet them.
