43A Quay Street

A fantastic place to stay, right in the centre of everything.

It's so great being able to just walk two minutes to the beach, ten minutes to the castle, a few minutes to the town centre. Multiple food stalls, pubs, restaurants literally right outside your door. The place itself is cool, clean and modern. Just a wonderful place to stay.

This is our second time staying at 43A (2 adults and 2 children).

We love the location and view, it’s handy for getting the bus round to the beach and then coming back to watch the world go by. The apartment is well equipped and overall very clean, just a shame the carpet in the lounge is quite stained in places, although carpet in a kitchen is a bit odd in my opinion. The bathroom is lovely and has a really nice shower. There was a lot of antisocial behaviour outside the shop below. We couldn’t open the windows much because there was so much swearing, which could be heard from all rooms in the property. This was constant shouting and offensive. I know it’s not the owner’s fault and I’m not sure anything can be done about it, but it’s not great when you’ve paid for a nice holiday.

This was our 2nd Visit to 43a quay street and have booked again for next year.

This place is beautiful and so well equipped, and suits our needs perfectly. Everything about this place was top class it was spotlessly clean and definitely our happy place.

Brilliant couple of weeks in this apartment for my wifes 70th birthday, stunning view of the harbour ,lovely and warm , safe ,and a pleasure to come back to after a few hours strolling and enjoying the scenery, have already booked for next year.

The Appt was absolutely beautiful with the most amazing views over the Harbour and out to sea.

The sofas, chairs and beds were so comfortable and it was lovely and warm. It was spotlessly clean and well equipped. The bathroom was very spacious with a huge bath and lovely soft towels. Lots of places to eat out and pubs in the area. Convenience Store below which was very handy. We had a great time and would definitely return and recommend to family and friends. Thank you so much for the lovely welcome gifts and for having a Christmas Tree up. A very well placed flat, just nice to sit and watch the world go by.

Extremely clean and welcoming as soon as you enter through the front door and up to the flat you can feel it is very well looked after. Would definitely recommend it.

We had an amazing week here in July (2 adults and 2 children).

The place was spotless, and so nicely decorated. There isn’t any parking, but we found a space on the road at the back and used the permits, it wasn’t any bother. It’s in such a good location too, we only used the car once to go to Whitby, the rest of the time we used the open top bus or walked. The views from the window are amazing, we all enjoyed sitting with the window open and watching the world go by. Even our 7 year old that’s always on the go was asking to go ‘home’ and relax by the window. We had an issue with the boiler and no hot water on the first day, but it was dealt with smoothly and repaired the same day so no complaints there as these things happen. My only complaint is that we had to come home! Can’t wait to book again Thankyou x

It was a great place to stay right in the front.

Every thing was perfect. It was spotless. No complains at all.

We had an amazing time at 43a Quay street and have already booked up for next year, It was perfect for what we needed and fully equipped with everything.

We have stayed in many cottages/apartments over the years but this one was just had the wow factor. The only negatives were being able to park at the door, but there was a car park less than a minutes walk away so for us it wasn’t a problem and you could hear the door banging from the Londis shop downstairs but only when there was no tv on or any other noise. We had no need to cook as being so close to the sea front there were so many cafes restaurants and pubs close to hand and there was also the shop beneath us made everything so easy. We can not wait to come again next year
