Beautiful house, beautiful views, we had a fantastic time.

Fantastic house, so much space, great location, amazing view from the kitchen and balcony.

We had 9 adults and 2 kids with us, more than enough space, bedrooms, bathrooms, parking space. We cooked for our whole party daily, kitchen facilities fantastic. EV charger is a major bonus! Would defo return.

Lovely peaceful accommodation.

Superb views and plenty of space and places to sit. Only drawback is the roads leading to the property, but they are country lanes and this is why the accommodation is so peaceful. Kitchen is superb we easily feed our party and cleaning up was easy with two dishwashers.

Unforgettable 80th Birthday Stay at Ghyll's Crest!

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ We booked Ghyll's Crest for a 2-night stay in August to celebrate my grandma’s 80th birthday, and it could not have been more perfect! The house itself is beautiful, incredibly spacious, and was spotlessly clean upon arrival. The setting is absolutely stunning—peaceful and surrounded by beautiful views that made the occasion feel extra special. On top of that, the owners were fabulous hosts, making sure we had everything we needed for a seamless stay. It was the ultimate setting for a special family celebration. We would highly recommend Ghyll's Crest to anyone looking for a wonderful getaway and wouldn't hesitate to stay again!

Warm welcome from the owner with house info provided and recommendations for places to eat (all were very good!

). Ground floor bedroom and wet room facilities were exactly what we needed. Rest of the house had good quality fixtures and fittings, ideal for a large group. Jacuzzi was lovely and really clean and well looked after. Amazing views of the countryside from the patio at the back. Loads of places to visit within a reasonable journey time. We thoroughly enjoyed our holiday.

What a place! It was everything we had hoped for and more. A great position, with amazing views, well-furnished and equipped. Everything we needed for a family holiday with extra guests for a celebration lunch. Our host Emma did everything to help us make the most of our stay.

the views from the outdoor patio are stunning. The house is spacious and really well equipped for a weekend getaway. Would have loved to stay longer. Everything about this cottage was 5 star.

Very comfortable and spacious. The beds were super comfy, everyone in our party slept well. Our party consisted of 4 generations 6mth-78. We were greeted on arrival by Emma who was lovely and gave us a quick tour. The cottage is situated in a beautiful part of Yorkshire there was an amazing view from the balcony. Lots of things to do and places to eat in the area for all generations. We would definitely return again.

12 of us and plenty of room. High standard of finish in the property. Kitchen was well equiped. Emma met us at the property and gave us all the information we needed to have a wonderful stay with a lovely welcome pack. The views are amazing and plenty of room to sit and enjoy them

Went to Ghyll Crest for a relaxing girly weekend away with 8 friends.

Met by Emma the host on arrival who is lovely and friendly, she explained everything we needed to know and answered any queries we had. A newly build house with every home comfort, plenty parking, electric charger, small garden and outside balcony at the rear with amazing panoramic view. Beautiful bathrooms with walk in showers, gowns and towels provided. The bedrooms on 2 floors are cosy with comfortable beds and clean white bedding. The kitchen is an excellent space for a get together it is a large space with everything you need, all cleaning products and tea towels are provided. It has 2 dishwashers, massive table and bifold doors with a beautiful view. The hot tub is another place to relax with the open view of the countryside, There is a smaller cosy lounge with a TV for the evenings. This house is a place with a definite wow! factor and we did not find anything that could be improved on. A beautifully decorated, clean and welcoming a place we will definitely be returning to and can highly recommend. We had a fantastic weekend. Thank you Emma x

Stunning house in a beautiful location with wonderful views across the surrounding countryside.

Emma, the owner, is lovely and makes you feel really welcome. The beds are super comfortable and there’s plenty of space to accommodate a large group. Huge well equipped kitchen. The hot tub is fabulous and enjoys the same gorgeous views. Highly recommended.

As a party of 12 family members ranging from 10 - 73, we recently enjoyed a wonderful 4 nights at Ghyll Crest.

The property is beautiful, warm and spacious. It has everything you could possibly need for relaxing and enjoying the beautiful views. The house was spotlessly clean and well equipped. The downstairs was very accessible for our wheelchair user who appreciated the gorgeous adapted bedroom and wet room. The number of bedrooms enjoying ensuites was also appreciated and everyone found the beds comfortable. The individual robes were a lovely touch for those of us who made frequent of the large hot tub throughout the week. The house had plenty of parking spaces and a charging point if needed. Emma was a lovely host and answered all my questions promptly. She even gifted us a late check out that was very much appreciated.

This was a great property for our family Christmas.

Everyone could be together without being on top of each other. Emma put up a Christmas tree for us and the hot tub was fabulous. We didnt try the barbeque but would have used it if we visited in the summer. Thoroughly recommend if you have a large group.

This property is absolutely beautiful in a lovely countryside setting.

We stayed Friday to Monday October 17-20. Perfect for our family of 10 which was 8 adults and 2 children aged 6 and 8. Plenty of room for everyone to sit/relax. A hot tub is always a must for us. As it had been cleaned in readiness for our arrival it did take quite a long time to heat up as it is an 'eco' tub but was just fine after that. We went for a walk around the local area on the Saturday afternoon hoping to call in at the local pub - the Gold Cup Inn - for a drink, but unfortunately it was closed so perhaps give them a call to check it's open if you're thinking of going there. On the Sunday we had a ride to the local reservoir Cod Beck and had a pleasant walk around there. There are of course other places to go to if you want to have a ride out in your car. The owner , Emma, is a lovely lady and every comfort was provided for. It was clean and comfortable and very well equipped and Emma lives close by so is on hand if needed. My family and I would highly recommend this property so hope you will give it a try and enjoy your stay!

We were a family of 11 people across four generations - younger than one year to 86 years - celebrating our Ruby Wedding Anniversary.

Fantastic property! Quality fixtures and fittings and very comfortable beds. Was great having three ground floor bedrooms each with en-suite. Amazing kitchen and dining area with great view! The hot tub was a real bonus too. Emma was extremely helpful and friendly and the welcome pack she left for us was very useful. Would definitely recommend this property and we hope to return.

A beautiful, fully equipped property in a picturesque location. We booked for 12 of us to stay as my nephew was getting married nearby. This property was the "icing on our cake" to the weekend. Thank you Emma (host), we will definitely be back!

Beautiful cottage, really done to high standards.

Good ground rules set which Is very important. Lovely host really friendly and made sure you knew everything on arrival before the host left you to it. Great sized bedrooms and overall just a really lovely place, complementary items on arrival which helped so much. Would 100% recommend.

We stayed at Ghyll Crest for my 60th birthday.

This is a perfect house for a multi-generational group. We were between 28 and 83 and everyone loved it. Showers were fantastic, comfy beds, amazing outdoor space and hot tub which was well used over the long weekend. The lovely weather helped. We enjoyed watching birds of prey from the trees around the house and if you’re a stargazer, on a clear night, you’ll be very happy! We were very impressed with the quality of ‘fixtures and fittings’ in the house. My husband, coming from an engineering background, loved the attention to detail! We really appreciated the big social space in the kitchen for family board games and the snug for my parents, who could go and watch the all important cricket final. Having 3 ground floor rooms, including a more accessible bedroom was perfect for the less mobile. And having five showers between us helped us get ready quickly for a lovely meal at the Blackwell Ox Inn 15 mins drive away- can highly recommend their Thai food. Walks from the door were beautiful. The tranquility of the surroundings made for a perfect relaxing break. We enjoyed cooking a full English breakfast for 10 on the Saturday morning making use of the air fryer, and the oven was great for hot buffet food. It was a wonderful home from home, even down to the cafetière! We would highly recommend Ghyll Crest. Emma, our host, went above and beyond to welcome us and make us feel at home. If anything could be improved it would be some toiletries in the bathrooms, which some of us forgot, but really that was a minor thing. Thank you again for an amazing stay and a fantastic memory of my 60th birthday!

Excellent property: clean, comfortable, beautiful setting.

Excellent for accessibility with ample room for a wheelchair to manoeuvre, ramped access and superb downstairs bathroom. Highly recommended by a family with children and a wheelchair user.

Myself and a few friends stayed here for a birthday weekend recently.

The house is amazing, the views were great and the property is really clean and well looked after. Emma was a great host when we arrived. She showed us everything we needed such as the hot tub, outdoor seating etc. and was very welcoming. I would absolutely recommend staying here for big groups of friends, families etc. Thanks again!

A wonderful house which was ideal for us to visit with our children and grandchildren to celebrate our 40th wedding anniversary.

We stayed here for my 30th birthday celebrations and absolutely loved our stay at Ghyll Crest.

The house is stunning, and every room spacious and decorated beautifully. The beds were some of the comfiest we’ve ever slept in and we all had the best sleeps ever. The views from the house are amazing, it’s so peaceful and relaxing to sit in the hot tub looking over the gorgeous countryside. Emma has thought of everything you could possibly need, the kitchen is really well equipped, with all the appliances and utensils you’ll need & lots of the basic foods & breakfast foods like croissants and eggs which was really lovely. We headed in to York races on the Saturday which was easily accessible by taxi, pre-booked XL Ubers meant there were no long waits, I would recommend if doing the same. Our stay couldn’t have been better, Emma was so helpful and quick to reply to any questions. We would definitely recommend the house to anyone & will definitely be back again soon! Thank you so much for a wonderful weekend away.

Fabulous place to stay and enjoy peaceful surroundings.

Great kitchen and dining area. Comfortable beds and pillows, which makes a great difference when you want a rest. I wanted a chilled 50th birthday weekend with friends and that’s what we all got. Nice walk through the local woods and pub also within walking distance.

The lodge far exceeded our expectations,,we met Emma on arrival who showed us around and explained everything we needed to know,, the welcome pack left was brilliant,,the decor was fabulous inside and out and the pre book pictures advertised were spot on The views from outside looking across the valley n countryside were stunning and we wouldn’t hesitate to consider returning to the property No expense spared on the quality furnishings

We had a lovely week at Ghyll Crest in the Easter holidays celebrating my big 70 with all the family (6 grandkids).

The house was immaculate and Emma met us to show us round. She left some food and goodies for us all to enjoy which was very kind. The house was ideal for a big family gathering with lots of room for everyone and lovely views from the dining area and outside terrace. Ideally situated for exploring the North York Moors and Yorkshire I would highly recommend this well appointed property.

A group of 11 of us stayed here over a long weekend to celebrate a 30th birthday, and we couldn’t have picked a better place.

The house is absolutely stunning, much more spacious than it appears in the photos and spotlessly clean. The kitchen-diner was the ideal social hub, with plenty of room and everything we needed. We were greeted with thoughtful touches like milk, eggs, and Easter eggs, which made us feel instantly welcome. Each of the bedrooms were as beautiful as each other, so no one felt like they got the “short straw.” The terrace at the back is generously sized, complete with two sets of outdoor furniture and a hot tub tucked away to the side, all overlooking the breathtaking North Yorkshire countryside. The hot tub was checked and maintained daily, which was really reassuring. The surrounding area is an idyllic Yorkshire town, perfect for relaxing walks and soaking in the scenery. I’m usually incredibly particular about places I stay, but I genuinely couldn’t find a single fault. I’ll be recommending this place to friends and family and definitely hope to return. Thank you, Emma, for such a wonderful stay, it truly made for a 30th birthday we’ll never forget.

A fantastic property which was great for our family group who enjoyed the beautiful location with great walks and bike rides from the door.

We had a super week and found the large house and facilities to be perfect for a really enjoyable holiday. The open plan kitchen/dining area, terrace and hot tub made for lovely convivial evenings and we were blessed with fantastic April sunshine all week which may things even better. Highly recommended.

The house is BEAUTIFUL as well as the surroundings and views. The open kitchen/dining area is perfect for the group size this house accommodates so we could all be together in one room. The host is very helpful and really has thought of everything you would need for your stay. We especially enjoyed the little touches including the robes for the hot tub. Would highly recommend!

Fantastic stay, 100% recommend!

As a group of 10 celebrating a 60th birthday this property had everything we needed, a beautiful big kitchen for us all to celebrate together, stunning views over the countryside and a fab hot tub that everyone enjoyed. The location is lovely and peaceful but still close enough to enjoy the nearby areas of Thirsk and Northallerton. We all had a wonderful stay and will absolutely be recommending to friends and family in the future.

Emma was a fantastic host. Everything you could possibly think of Emma had already thought of. Lovely walks surround the area. A pub is also in walkable distance. We would highly recommend Gyhll Crest to anyone!

Kitchen / Dining Area - Everything possible provided to make a meal. We found the 2 dishwashers was very handy with 10 of staying. Huge dining table so we could all sit down and enjoy our evening. The wine fridge was a nice touch aswell. Bedrooms and Bathroom - All bedrooms and bathrooms were immaculate, despite the house being full it was also very quiet while sleeping. Wasn't disturbed by friends who were up earlier than me. Outside Area - Patio Area and Jacuzzi were perfect, the pagola over the jacuzzi kept the winds out and provided spectacular views for as far as the eye can see. Drive easily fit 5 big cars on, bins and recycling area provided. Surrounding Area - Lovely walks nearby and friendly country pubs 10/10

Emma was a brilliant host, we received a very warm welcome and were provided with complimentary items, such as croissants, bread,milk and juice which was very thoughtful.

The house is stunning, the kitchen/ dining area was a fantastic space to socialise with the rest of the guests. The whole house is equipped for all needs (two dishwashers!) and plenty more. The house also includes a downstairs room with disabled access with a large walk in shower/wet room. All rooms are furnished beautifully and the bedding/pillows are such lovely quality. The whole house is immaculate with beautiful finishing, especially the barn gate hanging from the ceiling which was an amazing feature in the kitchen. As we were celebrating a 60th birthday, we found the location was great for a country getaway as well as a short taxi journey to Northallerton where we booked brunch at The Potting Shed. Overall the weekend was perfect and beyond our expectations, it is the nicest holiday home we’ve visited, definitely recommend this beautiful home!

Immaculate spacious accommodation, extremely well equipped with everything we could possibly need and lots of thoughtful extra touches which we weren’t expecting. Beds very comfortable. We’ve stayed in a quite a few lodges over the years and would say this is the best we’ve been to. Would definitely recommend and hope to return one day!

It's huge, decorated beautifully and has everything we needed. The kitchen is well equipped with quality appliances, everything was super clean and the host was really friendly and accomodating. The location is great, with a gorgeous view regardless of the weather. We're likely turning this into an annual visit, beautiful place.

Don’t let the lack of reviews on this property put you off booking, this is a new property to the holiday let market and oh my word! What a property. It is finished to the highest standard, there is nothing lacking. The view out over the balcony is just stunning and the addition of the well maintained hot tub just tops the whole experience off. Well done Emma this is a credit to you!

Everything has been thought about and put into place. The place is furnished beautifully and to a high standard throughout. The location is ideal for excursions or local walks. Emma was extremely responsive and helpful at every turn. I highly recommend a stay here as soon as you can!
