I have to say I have never stayed in a more soulless place, what a dated place it was, absolutely nothing welcoming about it.

Nothing worked properly, tv kept freezing, wifi dropped out all.of a piece and dvd player you had to stand over it to work it One of the chairs at the table the legs were falling off and the bedroom furniture was from the 50's I'm sure, it needs another curtain for the shower as it faces the front door of the next door bungalow! Needless to say we left 2 days early. Sorry I would not recommend this place to anyone and certainly not for the price they're charging.

Fantastic communication from the owner from start to finish.

The bungalow was exactly what we expected and met our needs 100%. His local knowledge was brilliant as we visited Bempton cliffs to see the Puffins. The garden is really secure with a 6 foot fence all around, which is brilliant when you take your dog. We will definitely book again.

The bungalow was spotless, 2 decent size bedrooms, plenty of room in bathroom,kitchen has everything you need and comfortable lounge.

Small garden which is sunny. Lots of information for places to visit,which we found very useful.There is Aldi and lots of smaller shops ( about 10 minutes) Parking meters on seafront. We enjoyed our stay.

This was a lovely property.

Exceptionally clean. Garden was ideal for our dog, very secure and not overlooked. The beds were so comfortable and we both slept so well. The welcome addition was the log burner. We had one really cold day so did light it and it was lovely. The only thing that would have been appreciated would have been a small bottle of milk in the fridge for arrival but apart from that the property was ideal for us.

A great getaway for my little family.

It's comfortable and in a perfect place to travel up and down the east coast. The second bedroom has enough space for a travel cot for anyone travelling with an infant.

We have stayed at danescroft several times we love returning it is home from home the owner Steve is great so helpful if you need anything even the the dog settles in straightaway wouldn't stay anywhere else when coming to Bridlington so convenient for everything really enjoyable stay we stayed for Christmas week lovely with log burner going would recommend

Really nice bungalow very clean and comfortable not far from coast and some nice garden centre near by owner very friendly and on a very quiet street would highly recommend

The accommodation was a pleasant bungalow but lack a few simple things: lounge occasional table (somewhere to put beer/wine glasses down), bedside table for both sides and a shelf or cabinet over the sink in bathroom.

The shower was over the bath but there are no grab handles or non-slip mat. Hooks for outdoor coats would be helpful as would a footwear tray. Overall a good place to stay with buses a very short walk away.

Lovely clean bungalow in a very quiet area.

Steve the owner gave us a call to let us know the bungalow was ready for us so we arrived before 3pm. He also gave us a call the next day to make sure everything was ok for us.We would definitely stay there again and would recommend it to family and friends. John and Sue.

It was basic but comfortable, the second bedroom was small and the bed not perfect for 2 adults (it was very small) That said it was a good base to get out and about on the East coast.

The area is quiet and safe.

We had a lovely stay at danescroft,Steve the owner is very friendly and helpful if needed, beds were comfortable, the area is very quiet,the only problem was the wifi was very weak couldnt connect our phones as they didnt pick the network up but just used our mobile data instead

The bungalow is in a quiet area and very clean and only a very short drive to the Bridlington seaside, Sliding door out to the garden patio was great to leave open when hot and ideal for the dog being enclosed so no escaping!

The owner Steve was nice and its great knowing he's just across the driveway if any problems without being intrusive. THANKS for a nice peaceful holiday and would recommend staying at Danescroft.

Excellent property, very clean with everything you could wish for.

Comfortable sofa and bed. Very quiet with a lovely enclosed area at the back to sit out and enjoy. Perfect if you have a dog with no worries of it getting out. Steve the owner was very friendly and helpful. He lives next door and communicated to us to ask if there was anything we needed. Would recommend staying here and we will return again.

Lovely and clean, secure for our dog too. Love it as it is in an ideal place to get to places either on foot if you like to walk or by car if you prefer to drive. Owner lives next door if you need to ask anything too. Will hopefully be back again soon

Great bungalow very clean and quiet we really enjoyed our stay and looking forward to going back in September.

Comfortable, clean and very convenient for local amenities.

We had a minor issue with our bike storage, there being a small outbuilding rather than a garage and the only way to store the bikes was to leave the door open. However, the owner who lives next door, kindly offered us alternative undercover storage and intends to resolve this issue in the future by freeing up more room in the outbuilding. A good location and very reasonably priced.

A very comfortable relaxing stay.

Well located for visiting the surrounding area. Steve the owner is very amenable and approachable.

We have stay here three times with our little dog lovely Bungalow and small patio for you to sit out when the sun is out comfortably furnished and the bed is very comfortable aswell all in all a lovely place to stay and so near Bridlington and lovely place at North Bay to walk your dog a lovely woodburner to sit and relax after a day out and your host live next door and very good one most helpful for you if you want anything would highly recommend this cottage.

We stay here for a number of holidays always enjoy our stay home from home very comfy meets all our needs and our poodle loves the secure garden very quiet located near all amenities and stev the owner is great if you need to contact him for anything would recommend we stayed for Christmas 2024

We love this bungalow.

We have been in it a few times now. The owner is very attentive and helpful. Nothing is too much trouble for him. The bungalow is very clean comfortable and warm. Definitely come again.

Great little base for visiting the area

This cottage in Bridlington was gorgeous so homely I could have stayed forever we felt really at home and Steve was brilliant so friendly he popped round for a coffee ☕️ a couple of times with our invite.

If you needed anything he was always there . We didn't use the car. The bus was brilliant too either the the town centre or filey or anywhere. Would love ❤️ too be Steve neighbour. You will have a brilliant holiday there

A bit dated but clean.

Kitchen needs more utensils, an "odd" number of plates etc,and we had to ask for a casserole dish( it was provided), and an extra towel. Only 3 garden chairs( cottage could sleep 4).

We had a lovely holiday.

The owner was extremely helpful. He came and lit the log burner every night. He made sure we was kept warm. He was very informative about best restaurants and takeaways. Places to go and see. The bungalow was clean and comfortable. It had all we needed.

We have stayed in many cottages from your firm.

This has been the best and most affordable. It was sparklingly clean, generously furnished and well situated. The beds were very comfortable, the towels luxurious and the kitchen well stocked. Perhaps most importantly the welcome was a joy. There was a hand made map on the wall to help us find the best places to visit. That made our trip! Thank you so much and keep shining!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, a real home from home.

The log burner with plenty of wood made it really cozy. The location is ideal on a very quiet residential area. Good communication with the owner, befor and during our stay, who made sure that there were no problems

The bungalow is quite and lacks any soul.

There are few pictures on the wall, looks like owner has just moved in. Whilst it is fully furnished, lounge furniture is far too big and bulky for such a small living room. Kitchen utensils were in short supply. The fridge is not holding temperatures below 5 deg C. There is a lot of maintenance work required - front door lock is worn out; black mould on kitchen ceiling above cooker hood; standard lamp holder is broken; washing machine start button is broken (already pointed out to the owner).

Danescroft is in a quiet, modern estate close to the beautiful Old Town and convenient to get to the beaches and to the cliffs at Flamborough Head and Bempston.

Very friendly and obliging owner showed us where everything was and how everything worked in the house and was on hand daily if necessary, helping to make our holiday an absolute delight

Lovely bungalow clean and comfortable ideal location for exploring the Yorkshire coast.

The Danescroft cottage was lovely - very well presented, immaculately clean, warm and cosy.

The owners lived nearby and were available to address any queries and were very helpful. The property is located in a very nice, quiet area in the northern part of Bridlington, close to amenities and the North Beach was a couple of minutes drive. Would thoroughly recommend this cottage and I will definitely be staying again.

Overall we were pleased with our stay.

Very clean slept well. The owner was on hand if needed. The WiFi wasn't great. The main problem was the storage heaters it was difficult to control them some of the dials were broken . We didn't bring it to owners attention as we felt he would not be able to do anything. Needs attention.

We loved this property, everything was perfect, it had a log fire and was lovely and cosy.

It was a 10/15 minute walk to pubs and restaurants. About a half hour walk to the beach. The owner came and explained everything to us and left us alone for the rest of the holiday letting us know he was there if we needed. I would recommend this to anyone wanting a relaxing break.

We had a lovely stay at Danescroft enjoyed it with the log fire and was beautiful and very warm lovely place to take your dog with the walks down North Cliff and then onto Flamborough to where the lighthouse is another walk there not far from Scarborough and Filey this was our second visit and the owner's lives next-door and are very friendly

The bungalow was very clean, well equipped and extremely warm.

The location was ok - we loved the Old Town but be aware it's a long (and dull) walk to the beach. The owner was friendly/helpful and lives next door and dropped off additional logs for the wood burner in the lounge. Why four stars and not five? - there was no welcome basket as shown in the photo (we didn't mind but just remove the photo if you aren't providing one as others may turn up expecting it to be there). As the bungalow is fully carpeted, we would have appreciated a proper vacuum cleaner (we took our long-haired dog with us) and the internet didn't work reliably. Would we return again - yes!

The Danescroft was immaculate, very comfortable and in a very good part of Bridlington, with the beach and amenities close by.

The owners lived close by and were available for queries if needed and it was so nice and peaceful. I will definitely book to come back again. Thank you to the owners of Danescroft and to Sykes Holiday Cottages for a lovely holiday.

The property suited us very well.

It was useful having the friendly owner living next door. The property is clean and comfortable but the kitchen equipment is a little basic for those who like to self cater. Flamborough Head is nearby and is excellent for walking and bird watching. We enjoyed our holiday and would consider returning.

Lack of local information was disappointing.

Basic things in kitchen not supplied such as salt and pepper and kitchen roll. One bedroom lacking in drawers and bedside table an lamp. Shower not effective, needs attention. Otherwise comfortable with good tv and WiFi. Next door owner very pleasant and helpful.

Great little bungalow.

Nicely kept and in a great location between the centre of Bridlington & Sewerby. Easy access to Bridlington, Sewerby Hall & Flamborough Bungalow has 2 nice double bedrooms and is suitable for couples or small family, back courtyard is ideal for a small dog as well. Will bring ours on the next visit as we will return.

Perfect retreat for short or long stay.

Dog friendly holiday home with logburner made our stay extra special. Quiet location with comfy bed in master bedroom. Lovely litter garden with sun terrace and outhouse. Owner lives close by, so on hand to help with plenty of knowledge of local area. Would highly recommend. Thank you.

Second bedroom, small double with no bedside lamp or table. Short shower curtain required on bathroom window for privacy. Updated information on area would be helpful. Good parking and quiet area.

The owner was very forthcoming with helpful and useful local information, which us to enjoy our stay and the surrounding area.

The bungalow was compact and everything needed was provided for us. Even good weather was laid on! apart from one day.

Danescroft was spotlessly clean and warm on our arrival.

We had a visit from the next door neighbour within an hour of our arrival who showed us how to operate the wood burner (though the storage heaters were so effective we didn't need to use it) and told us about dog friendly places to visit and places eat and local takeaways. We did a Sainsbury's online shop which was timed to be delivered a couple of hours after we arrived which was really helpful. There is a Co-op quite close and a large Morrison's within a couple of miles. The kitchen had plenty of cupboard space, and had a washing machine, microwave, fridge freezer and electric oven but we didn't find any chopping boards, only one bread board. We knew there wasn't a cafetiere so we took one. The bungalow is one and a half miles from the beach and harbour and is in a lovely quiet residential area. Check out Richie's Cafe on South Beach, good food and dog friendly. Bridlington is a great place to stay and it's also close to Filey, Flamborough Head and Scarborough so lots of places to visit and things to do.

we enjoyed our holiday at danescroft Bridlington the owner called in to see us and showed us how things worked also was there if we needed any help /only problem we encountered was the petrol pandemic stopping us going out to the different places we normally visit.

But thanks to facebook and local people telling us where we could get diesel that saved our holiday and was able to get out and about.

10mins from South Beach, Close to shops, fish and chips and petrol garage. Beds are comfortable and the outside courtyard was great for our little dog. Enjoyed staying here.

Danescroft is a perfect base for exploring with the sea front only 5 minutes away by car and Flamborough, Filey, Bempton Cliffs, and many other places within easy reach.

The owners who live next door were very helpful with information on local places, shops etc which added to our stay. We found the WiFi signal excellent for keeping in touch with family and entertainment in the evenings. The bungalow we felt had limited kitchen equipment & a set of saucepans would probably benefit future guests. However, when asked if there were any available for our use Stevie did provide one. The property could benefit from a blind at the kitchen window to block the sun which was so bright when standing at the sink and another at the bathroom window to afford extra privacy when taking a shower even though the glass is frosted it does face a joint driveway. Having made the above the comments we would hope they are taken as useful and would recommend the property to family and friends. Thank you Val, Stewart & our dog Mitzy

There needs to be a bedside table in the smaller bedroom. A pair of kitchen scissors would have been helpful. And a casserole dish or similar.

We didn't recieve a welcome pack as advertised which would of been nice. I agree with previous reviews that more bins are required especially in the bathroom. I would definitely recommend this bungalow as the location is perfect and there is a local dog walk close by.

The bungalow was extremely spotless warm cosy and homely.

Steve and Tracey were very welcoming but also kept their distance to enable us to enjoy our holiday in peace. There was a hamper of goodies ( hot chocolate, muffins and cereals) and milk in the fridge which were all perfect for my hubby as a vegan I enjoyed the bread and specialty jams tea and coffee. There were lots of store cupboard essentials too such as salt pepper vinegar and cooking oils and plenty of toilet roll and washing up liquid so we didn’t have to buy any of these. There were towels and flannels provided too and washing powder if you wanted to use the washing machine. The rooms were all well furnished and extremely clean. The bed in the main bedroom was exceptionally comfortable. There was a small low maintenance garden to the rear which met our needs. We were situated very close to local shops cafes and pubs and the old town. There were plenty of dog walking areas close by too. Steve was extremely knowledgable about the local area and it’s amenities and was able to recommend places of interest. There was also plenty of leaflets in the bungalow along with games books and dvds If wanted. We visited lots of great places and most were dog friendly including pubs cafes shops and sightseeing areas. The best chippy for us was Gabbys based in the lold town we weren’t impressed with the 149 chippy which was closer and has apparently won awards. The best pub was the ship inn which was extremely dog friendly but does get very busy on a Sunday. The biggest surprise for me was the range of venues selling vegan foods I was so impressed but beware if you are vegan or vegetarian as most places cook their chips in beef fat. Goodness knows why!! And this is not advertised. All in all we had a really enjoyable time relaxing and walking with our dog

A lovely cosy bungalow situated just outside of the centre of Bridlington with shop, pub and excellent fish and chips within walking distance.

Walking to Bridlington town centre, beaches and harbour is only about 15 - 20 minutes. Easy access to explore Bembridge and Flalmbourough Head which is well worth exploring.

Smashing bungalow in nice location.

The owner lives next door and was exceptionally helpful. The one down point if that is what you call it was its storage heaters so you got the heat in the morning but toward the afternoon it tended to chill down however the log burner was a real asset and if staying here in a summer it would be no problem. We shall certainly considered another visit here.

We were delighted with the cosy bungalow, and its very secure back garden for our dog, sited on a very well kept estate.

The owner, who lived next door, couldn’t have been kinder or more helpful. We had a phone call on the day of arrival inviting us to arrive early, if we wished, as the bungalow was ready. John was looking out for us and made us feel very welcome, showing us how to use the wood burner and giving us lots of advice concerning facilities in the area and places to visit. We were extremely impressed by the generous welcome hamper and all the added touches, including ‘doggy towels’! There seemed to be plenty of local public buses so I think it would be possible to explore the area without taking the car, if necessary. ( A real bonus if staying in the height of the season.) Quiet bungalow on the outskirts of Bridlington Supermarket five minutes drive away.

Owners live next door and were very friendly and helpful .Ideal for a relaxing week away with the added bonus of off street parking

Fabulous bungalow really comfortable it was a delight to spend time there and relax.

Spotlessly clean, the owner came and explained everything to us when we arrived and was extremely helpful suggesting places to visit and eat. Just a suggestion to put in some waste bins in the bedrooms and a reading light and small table in the smaller bedroom.

The house was home from home Beautifully furnished and a lovely garden to sit and relax in within easy reach of shops pubs and not far from the beach either although we are not ones for sitting on the beach anyway It is situated in a luvly area of Bridlingon very peaceful.

Plenty of eateries in close proximity and a nice little town if you're in the mood for shopping with twice weekly market. The lady who owns the house only lives next door so any problems could be sorted easily. We found everything to our satisfaction and will definitely return on our future visits to Bridlington. We are both in our seventies and live in a bungalow ourselves due to the fact I cannot climb stairs very well so it definitely ticked all our boxes

Living room furniture comfortable with nice cushions and throws and TV with excellent quality picture, WIFI super fast and reliable. Slept well, as area is lovely and quiet, and beds are very comfortable. Shower worker really well and temperature stayed constant. Kitchen had all we needed and the welcome basket was a lovely touch. All areas of this bungalow were spotlessly clean.The owner was very helpful and explained heating etc as well as providing information about dog friendly places to visit. Recently stayed here for a week at the beginning of February, we came for a relaxing break away and loved our time here.

Excellent hosts who went above and beyond to ensure our stay was extra special and were always on hand if we needed anything. We was greeted by a lovely hamper which was a lovely touch and made us feel very welcome. We were shown how to use the log burner on arrival which was an added luxury and made our nights lovely and cosy. The decor throughout is very homely and the property has a lovely feel. The beds were extremely comfy and bedding was nice and fresh. Even the towels added an extra luxury to our stay as they were lovely and fluffy. We were even given a box of towels for the dog. We had an amazing stay here and there was lots of great places nearby which were great for walking our dog and some lovely dog friendly pubs too. Highly recommend and will definitely be returning. Thanks again.
