  • “Cottage was incredibly clean.”

So much so that the amount of bleach everywhere got on my clothes and ruined an irreplaceable £65 top. If you love the peace and quiet then this is the place to go. Nothing really in the area and the Kaskane bar required you to book even just for a drink which was disappointing. The beach is lovely and perfect for dogs. The cottage was warm and cosy but the sofa was uncomfortable due to the sofa bed. The shower is a wet room and water gets everywhere. Ideally situated if you don’t mind ...

Tyreman Court

Three delightful, single-storey cottages in a courtyard setting of five properties, in a quiet location in the coastal village of Skinningrove. These Skinningrove cottages have been built on the site of the original stables which housed the pit-ponies serving the old mine in the village, and have been thoughtfully designed, decorated and furnished to offer very comfortable, contemporary accommodation. Outside, the cottages share a communal garden area with lawned and gravelled areas, ideal for sharing an evening drink. Close to the Cleveland Ironstone Mining Museum and Cleveland Way National Trail, and within easy reach of the beautiful moors and coastal countryside around, these lovely Skinningrove cottages make a great base for exploring the area, including the picturesque villages of Staithes and Runswick Bay, and the historic town of Whitby.
