“Bishops cottage is a lovely well ...”

Bishops cottage is a lovely well kept place with everything we needed for a pleasant stay. Unfortunately Skinningrove was not the place for us. If you are into walking then it would be ideal but when you have mobility problems like my wife it's not. She even had problems getting down to the sea front on her mobility scooter due to uneven roads and steep kerbs.

Tyreman Court

Three delightful, single-storey cottages in a courtyard setting of five properties, in a quiet location in the coastal village of Skinningrove. These Skinningrove cottages have been built on the site of the original stables which housed the pit-ponies serving the old mine in the village, and have been thoughtfully designed, decorated and furnished to offer very comfortable, contemporary accommodation. Outside, the cottages share a communal garden area with lawned and gravelled areas, ideal for sharing an evening drink. Close to the Cleveland Ironstone Mining Museum and Cleveland Way National Trail, and within easy reach of the beautiful moors and coastal countryside around, these lovely Skinningrove cottages make a great base for exploring the area, including the picturesque villages of Staithes and Runswick Bay, and the historic town of Whitby.
