Enter the gated front patio and admire your surroundings, before stepping inside to find an inviting interior, boasting neutral tones, with wooden accents, solid oak and mango wood furniture and a very calming feel.
Enter the living/dining room, which boasts a large window offering pretty views and wooden shutters, which you can close in the evenings as you curl up on the sofa in front of the cosy electric logburner effect fire, filling the room with warmth as you flick on the TV to find a great film to watch, or simply curl up with a good book in hand.
The wooden dining table can comfortably seat the whole group for family meals, cooked in the contemporary, galley-style kitchen, boasting integrated appliances to assist you with your self-catering needs, including a dishwasher to take care of the washing up.
You will also find a handy separate laundry room with washing machine and dryer.
Catch up on sleep in one of three generously sized bedrooms; on the first floor you'll find a double bedroom overlooking the nearby water mill and a single room, both sharing access to the superbly finished, fully-tiled bathroom suite complete with an inviting sunken bath, ideal for relaxing at the end of a busy day, as well as a walk-in shower.
The second floor boasts an impressive loft master bedroom with king-size double bed (zip/link - can be made into a twin upon request) resting under the eaves with exposed beams and a wonderful skylight.
Spend time in the enclosed patio garden, enjoying an alfresco lunch and admiring the colourful foliage.
When you don't feel like cooking, venture into Stamford Bridge to find a selection of shops, bars and restaurants including an ice cream parlour and a family run bistro!
Here, you will also find a supermarket, pharmacy, butchers and a bakery for picking up any essentials.
End the day with a glass of wine or refreshing pint of beer in the handy Bay Horse pub next door.
Enjoy strolls and look out for beautiful wildlife along the River Derwent, just opposite Riverview, as well as the walking and cycling trail along the renovated railway viaduct.
Be sure to visit the historic site of the Battle of Stamford Bridge, which took place on the 25th September 1066, with the memorial site being visible from the property's front windows.
A perfect place to stay for guests attending weddings at nearby Burtonfields Hall or Sandburn Hall.
The pretty market towns of Malton, Beverley and Driffield are within driving distance, the latter of which boasts independent shops, a selection of pubs and restaurants and a superb 18-hole golf course.
The incredible city of York is within easy reaching distance (at just 8 miles away, or a handy 15 minute bus journey) and offers excellent shopping along its famous street The Shambles, along with a Gothic cathedral boasting vast stained glass windows, the National Railway Museum and popular JORVIK Viking Centre.
Be sure to visit the 18th century Castle Howard, which fans may recognise from Brideshead Revisited and, more recently, popular television show Bridgerton.
Keen walkers will delight in discovering scenic enchanting forests, rolling hills and wildlife in the remarkable Howardian Hills AONB.
If you fancy a trip a little further afield, find both Scarborough and Whitby just an hour away - Enjoy the stunning beaches and promenades, the beautiful Peasholm Park and the Sealife Sanctuary in Scarborough, whilst in Whitby you will find the ruins of the Gothic Whitby Abbey, the inspiration behind Bram Stoker’s 'Dracula', a selection of restaurants and quirky independent shops, the traditional Fortune’s Kippers smokehouse and much more.

A gorgeous place to stay, so beautifully furnished with lots of wonderful finishing touches.
Lots of thought has been put in to the home, with a very well stocked kitchen that it was easy to cook for my family whilst staying with everything I’d have at home to cook and serve. Bathroom was luxurious and bedrooms very comfortable. The place was very clean throughout. It was a great stay too for the local amenities and ease of getting into York by bus. It has been the best place we have stayed in for its attention to detail and that feeling of a home from home. Thanks very much, my husband, children and I loved it.

There was a bus stop just around the corner for easy access into York. The owners were very helpful and generous with the food hamper and other little goodies. Ideal property for visiting York and the surrounding areas.
This is a fantastic property, no two ways about it.
Almost everything you could ever think of is provided and more (never have we seen such a welcome pack). The knives are sharp, every utensil was available and spotlessly clean. The courtyard garden is a delight, with shade and sun. There are an assortment of games for children and comfy spaces for those who want to relax inside. The location, in the middle of the village is brilliant. There is a lot of traffic in the day, but easy to ignore. The location next to a pub was appreciated by me and more so the delightful bakers over the road and another 20 seconds away a small parade of shops and a most unassuming but splendid bistro and a sandwich shop with a wonderful garden. 35 minutes by bus into York and a 35 minute walk along the river to lower Catton for another pub.
