  • "We were pleased to see Seahorse when we were looking to stay in Whitby."

We have stayed there and in the other 2 apartments in the building previously when they were owned by someone else. Seahorse is perfectly located for everything and the apartment provides you with plenty of space to relax and spread out. We really enjoyed our stay and have booked again for next year. The stairs up to apartment certainly give you a work out so if you're not too good on your feet there's no lift to get you upstairs so something to bear in mind. Thank you for sharing your apartment with us all.

a very pleasant comfortable apartment close to all amenities would be handy for at least one small handrail into shower room/ toilet to help with the two steps down just feel it would be a help but a rel good stay overall for our latest stay would recommend

  • "We first stayed here in 2007 for a family break and have returned each year, usually over the new year period until the pandemic."

It is ideally situated for everything Whitby and the surrounding area has to offer. Our main requirements of a holiday property apart from the location are cleanliness, being well equipped and comfortable. This property ticks all the boxes.

  • "A well-furnished flat with a kitchen, a dining room and a lounge."

It is in the centre of town, but was quiet both late at night and early in the morning. It was ideal for our stay.

  • "This is the 3rd time we have stayed here and once again was really enjoyable with a good central location."

The only problem with the less-abled would be the stairs as the apartment is on the 1st floor. One thing which was not to our liking is the policy of cannot check-in until 5pm and must be out by 9am on the day of departure.

Thank you again for your booking Dave. We do try to make amendments when we receive feedback and agree that the arrival and departure times could be different - so we have changed these to 4pm arrival and 10am departure. We hope you stay at Seahorse again in the future, all the best Kerry & Robert Property Owner

In need of a bit of TLC eg Toilet seat needs replacing or fixing as many people have said in visitors book , it was like that 2 years ago, shower head kept sliding down shower rail, no shelf to put toiletries in shower The shower its self is great, kitchen tiles need grouting at back of sink, black mould Great location

  • "Enjoyed our 2 weeks here for the 2nd year."

Hiccups with shower for first week which were all solved. Central Heating behaving very well this year. Still dislike the lack of privacy as the property is overlooked from property across the road. Office blinds or even nets would make an amazing difference.

Really great to have a separate living room and dining room. Traffic can be a bit noisy with windows open.

  • "Nice property, well located."

Property is comfortable. We had some issues with the temperature of house, the timings for heating coming on didn’t work for us and we were cold in the evening and boiling at night. Whitby is a lovely location and we would certainly recommend the town and this property.

  • "Issue with shower tray drainage."

...solved by family member through Sykes. We were very happy with our 2 week stay at Seahorse. Personally would like window blinds as very open to property opposite. However, we are today hopefully about to re book for October 2022. Wish to thank the property owners for their patient assistance with our inability to use the key safe, not having used this method previously. Thankyou.

Great powerful shower. It was a great bonus having separate lounge and dining room with 2 TV's. The flat had everything you needed for a relaxing break away, except a washing mashine. Just would have liked a clothes washer instead of dishwasher. Really good location within minutes of shops, beach. We enjoyed it so much.

Th kitchen is well equipped for those who want to self cater, the location is perfect to walk to a whole host of restaurants cafes and bars if you don,t want to cook. Bathroom has a large shower. the apartment is warm and cosy if you are visiting in winter. There are 2 tower fans provided for summer.A parking permit is provided for one car for a nearby carpark. • "The cottage was well equipped and clean."

We loved the layout and were really pleased with the location. Not having stayed in Whitby before we were unsure where the location was but it was great with everything within a 3-5 minute walk. The parking pass was an added bonus and also the fact you could get a 1hr parking zone for unloading and loading was definitely an added bonus. The Granby Public House just up the road does really good food, very reasonably priced and good real ales.

We had to put all the cups plates glasses and cutlery through the dishwasher before we could use them. The glasses had lipstick on them and plates and cutlery still had food on them. There was also nowhere to hang towels in the bathroom a towel rail of some description would have been good. A gun to shoot the seagulls would have been good also. Other than that the place was perfect for our needs
