Description

Ingleborough Cottage is an inviting cottage resting in Ingleton, Pennines, offering parking, views of the Bowland Fells, and an enclosed, south-facing patio garden that suits both children and four-legged companions. Set in an idyllic rural position while remaining close to the lively heart of Ingleton, it’s a great base for walkers, couples travelling together, and families eager to spend their days outdoors and their evenings unwinding as a group.

Step inside and you’ll quickly find the sitting room, where rustic features abound from the traditional wooden beams to rustic inglenook fireplace with generous seating and a woodburning stove setting the scene for laid-back nights after a day on the fells. With a TV, a selection of DVDs, and books to dip into, it’s a space designed for together time, whether that’s swapping stories from the trail or planning tomorrow’s route. When mealtimes roll around, the kitchen/diner makes gathering easy, with a rustic dining table that invites slow breakfasts and long, laughter-filled suppers. The kitchen is well equipped for self-catering, with everything needed to produce simple breakfasts, picnic lunches to full-on gourmet dinners.

Upstairs, two rustic bedrooms offer flexible sleeping arrangements, with a king-size room and a king-size zip/link that can become a twin on request, ideal for mixed groups. The spacious bathroom provides both a bath with shower over and a separate walk-in shower, so everyone can start the day at their own pace.

Beyond the cottage, Ingleton places you within easy reach of the Three Peaks, with both the Yorkshire Dales and the Lake District calling to keen explorers. Seek out the atmospheric White Scar Caves, wander the Beezley Falls Nature Reserve, or plan easy days out to Kirby Lonsdale, Carnforth, and Settle for a change of scenery. However you shape your stay, Ingleborough Cottage in Ingleton, Pennines makes a wonderfully placed retreat.
