Description

Finch 66 is a beautifully-presented single-storey lodge settled into a holiday park in the coastal town of Cayton Bay, with parking, pet-friendly living, and close by beach making it an ideal base for couples or families seeking a getaway to North Yorkshire.

Park up in the ample parking and make yourself at home in a delightful lodge with a well-thought-out layout and stylish furniture, adding a tasteful feel to your getaway.

Be welcomed into an open-plan living space, a social hub where guests can dine, cook, and recline, offering a kitchen with plenty of amenities for home cooking, a dining table for hearty meals, and a sitting area with the added ambiance of an electric fire.

From here, when the weather is warm, throw open the double doors and let the fresh air in, dining alfresco on the enclosed decking as the sun sets overhead.

When sleep calls, freshen up in the shower room before cosying up into one of the two plush bedrooms, each with a TV.

Choose between a double with en-suite shower room, and a twin.

When you are ready to explore, enjoy a drink at the club house, or head out to the local beach for a day spent paddling among the waves and trying out watersports.

Further afield, discover Filey with its beautiful beach and clifftop walks, ideal for bird watching, or visit the bustling seaside town of Scarborough, boasting a museum, gallery, castle, beach, and of course a great many shops, bars, and tasty eateries.

The property is within reach of the breath-taking scenery of the North York Moors, with plenty of National Trust sites to visit, so why not enjoy a walk in the fresh air?

There is seemly so much waiting to be explored with a stay at Finch 66.

First impression on arrival was how clean the property was.

Second the quality and comfort of the furniture. Everything looked chosen with care for comfort in mind. Downsides was no WiFi so contacted the owner who tried to rectify it but the upshot was a faulty router that would need replacing. As it turned colder in the mornings and evenings on our last days part way through the week that meant we couldn't put heating on but the electric fire in the lounge did a good job of warming that area at least. A couple of omissions of items normally expected to be there, such as washing up liquid and toilet roll, were raised with the owner who agreed they should be there and was going to speak to the cleaners about it. They did very kindly offer some compensation but we thanked them but turned it down. Non of the issues were that big a problem. The location on the site couldn't have been better. Located around a central grassed area and very peaceful which is what we like. Our dog could go in and out to the surrounding patio area as it was nice and secure. Would happily recommend it
