  • "Very disappointing experience and not somewhere we would choose to stay again."

What should have been a simple family weekend away became stressful due to multiple issues with the property and the way they were handled. On arrival, the WiFi was not working, which also meant the television system could not be used. More seriously, during the stay the caravan lost gas supply completely, leaving us without heating, hot water or the ability to cook. This was particularly difficult given we were staying as a group of 2 adults and 4 children during poor weather conditions. The owner initially responded to messages but the situation was never properly resolved. Despite assurances that somebody would attend the property, nobody came. We were eventually asked to troubleshoot the gas supply ourselves late in the evening and directed to seek help elsewhere on site, which proved unsuccessful. It later became clear that both gas bottles were empty, despite earlier assurances that they had recently been replaced and should not have been the issue. As a family staying away for the weekend, being left without heating, hot water or cooking facilities created a very stressful situation, particularly as food had already been purchased to cook at the caravan and the children still needed feeding late in the evening. There were also additional charges for access to the holiday park facilities which were not clearly explained at the time of booking, despite the property being marketed as part of Billing Aquadrome Holiday Park. This felt misleading and significantly increased the overall cost of the stay. Overall, this experience fell well below what we expected when booking a family holiday.
