We had an amazing stay at Runglee.

My wife and I, plus our dog Coco were very comfortable and relaxed in beautiful surroundings. Coco loves the full wrap around garden with plenty of space to explore and play where she is 100% safe. We all love the wonderful views and being around nature hearing and seeing the birds. At night time the silence is bliss which is a far cry from out city living set up at home. We consider Runglee as the best holiday cottage we have stayed in. 10/10 - Excellent

We had an absolutely fantastic stay at Runglee.

If you’re looking for somewhere away from it all and extremely peaceful, but still within easy distance from lots of wonderful destinations, it couldn’t be more highly recommended. Our dog also had a wonderful time in the wrap around garden, which was very secure thus giving us peace of mind to let him explore (almost) unsupervised. It was also interesting to read about the history of the owners and how they came by the property in the visitor information pack. Highly recommended.

Wish we had booked for longer! Beautiful grounds and the cottage had everything we needed for a relaxing stay in the Borders.

Lovely well equipped cottage in a beautiful location and spotlessly clean.

Lovely view from the back of the property made sitting out a joy. Beds were very soft which was not ideal for our party, but this is a personal preference. We had a problem with one of the bathrooms but this was fixed quickly and did not impact our stay, excellent communication from the owner.

! Outstanding beautiful property and location, had a lovely relaxing peaceful break and enjoyed exploring the surrounding area. Would highly recommend and would love to return, our westie enjoyed the huge secure garden. Felt like home, thank you

Runglee is situated in a very pleasant and peaceful area, with plenty of interesting places to visit on both sides of the border.

The house is immaculate and had everything we needed for a very enjoyable stay. The setting in the midst of beautiful countryside was perfect for a relaxing stay.

We've stayed in many places over the years and Runglee is by far the best.

Cottage had everything we needed and more, inckuding quality fixtures, comfortable beds and lots of extras, including soap/shower gel etc. There was also a welcome pack on arrival and milk in the fridge. Host is extremely friendly and helpful but not intrusive. Cottage is in a great location for exploring the Scottish borders and Northumberland. I would also highly recommend the short drive to Berwick to get a train to Edinburgh - much better than driving to the city and trains run every half an hour or so. If you're considering booking Runglee, we would highly recommend that you do, its a fabulous place to relax and unwind after a busy day exploring. Wonderful, comfortable stay at Runglee.

We have stayed in many holiday homes and this is one of the best! The bungalow is extremely spacious and we found it to be clean and very well catered for. The dogs loved the wrap around enclosed garden and the view is to die for! We cannot recommend highly enough and would not hesitate to return if staying in the area again. Had a wonderful stay in this holiday home.

Everything needed for a relaxing break was provided by the owner. The weather when there was pretty unkind, but it was the perfect sanctuary to return to each evening.

We enjoyed Christmas at Runglee, the cottage was clean, bright and had everything you could need for a comfortable stay.

We enjoyed the sun room the most which as was ideal for staying with our dog. The views are outstanding and so peaceful and the welcome pack was very much appreciated, we would definitely recommend to others and we hope to be back in the future. We wish the hosts a very successful 2025 at the cottage.

Lovely cosy cottage in a very quiet hamlet.

Fully enclosed garden and all necessary equipment. Many interesting places to visit and walk dogs within about 20 minutes.

We really enjoyed the sunroom. The cottage is well equipped and the owners are very helpful. The setting is beautiful and very relaxing. We had a wonderful time.

For our first holiday in Scotland we chose to visit the South Eastern part of the Country, and found an excellent property - ‘Runglee’.

Owned by Vanessa and her lovely family, on arrival we were provided with a very helpful welcome pack with fresh bread, milk, honey and eggs. The property is spacious, beautifully furnished, with cosy sitting room and sun room, and the beds are exquisitely comfortable. The kitchen is particularly well furnished with everything required to assist those who like to self-cater. There is much to see and do in the area with many Historic Homes and Castles, and quaint towns to visit, with Edinburgh also within easy reach for a day out. Over recent years, we have used Sykes properties many, many times and can honestly state that this property is far and away the most well-appointed and comfortable of any that we have rented before, book now to avoid the rush!

A well-presented spacious bungalow setting in a quiet hamlet between Duns and Coldstream.

Having views across the neighbour's property and open farmland to the Cheviot Hills. We found the property to be warm with a well equipped kitchen and very comfortable beds. We rate this property for its quiet and peaceful location but also for its dog-friendly enclosed lawn area surrounding the property.

We loved the cottage.
