  • "Pebble Cove was a very comfortable, well equipped cottage in an excellent location."

Every comfort for us and our little dog was thought of and provided for. We really enjoyed our stay in an absolutely stunning area, only let down by the very cold and windy weather. We would definitely recommend this property to anyone. Many thanks to the owners.

Walking distance to the Docs. Great seafood. Sadly there is no view, the stairs are quite narrow so be careful. And more cutlery would be wonderful. It has pretty much what you need, including dog bed and some blankets. I am a good place to stay.

Little touches like the wine and chilled glasses in the fridge on arrival, and a bag of doggie treats were most appreciated! The linens were of excellent quality, it was like home from home. Cosy, comfortable and well furnished. We would definitely recommend this property. It is a short walk to the main high street, marina and beach.

High quality furnishings and appliances, comfortable bed, good shower, lovely welcome pack including wine and ground coffee , very easy parking right outside front door, quiet neighbourhood, easy walk to Amble(10 mins to harbour which has good eating places . Amble itself is a fantastic place to stay for exploring the beautiful Northumberland coastline with all its expansive beaches and castles. Great places to eat and drink within a 10-minute walk including the working fishing harbour plus supermarkets etc. We all loved our stay, including two very hard-to-please teenagers, and would recommend it to anyone wishing to visit the area. Thank you!

We have 2 small children (3 and 1) there was a problem with the high chair that was immediately rectified and there was a stair gate put up for us on arrival. We were always able to park outside and the property was very very clean. The cot provided is a travel cot that is more suitable for a small baby FYI incase people thought would contain a toddler. A very quick walk to Amble harbour, clean and lovely and warm. Thanks very much!

Comfortable, everything works as it should, beach towels came in handy, nice touch. Milk and wine in the fridge on arrival after a taxing journey, nice touch. Bedding change after 7 days again nice touch especially in view of the hot weather. These people really know what they're doing. We would stay again in a heartbeat. Short walk to town, a great takeaway (Gills) and super pub. Wellwood arms (Sunday lunch was fab) we'll be back.

Short walk to Amble pier front (about 20 minutes). Pebble cove is situated ideally for exploring the majority of tourist places of Northumberland. Home was clean and tidy and well presented with everything you could possibly need for your stay. We would recommend Pebble cove as a good base. Parking outside on the street, not a problem and always managed to park right outside the front door. Its central location makes this property an ideal base for a couple or small family wanting to explore Northumberland coastline and magnificent national park.

The property offers a welcoming living/dining room, stylishly decorated with laminate floor, an eye-catching print rug, lovely dining area for enjoying family meals and two inviting sofas you can relax onto at the end of a busy day, enjoying your favourite show on the wall-mounted Smart TV.

The newly fitted kitchen offers a full range of appliances, sleek units and worktops, plus ample space to prepare ingredients for delicious family dinners, while the back door leads onto an enclosed courtyard garden, where you can sit out in the sunshine and enjoy a morning coffee or alfresco breakfast at the beginning of your day.

When the evening draws to a close, make your way up the carpeted staircase to discover two wonderful bedrooms; a king-size double with wall-mounted Smart TV, dressing table and chest of drawers, and a unique twin layout with hanging space for your belongings, both of which share use of the stylish family bathroom, which offers bath and shower over, so you can choose how you would like to prepare for each day.

The quayside is home to a weekly market and Harbour Village, a collection of independent shops selling food and drink, arts and crafts and more.

The town offers a good selection of shops, pubs and restaurants, where you can enjoy freshly caught seafood and enjoy a well-deserved night off from cooking.

The coastal village of Alnmouth offers a charming day out, with miles of wonderful beaches backed by sand dunes, as well as rivers for fishing, golf courses and a good selection of shops, pubs and restaurants.

The town of Alnwick is slightly further afield, with its recognisable Medieval castle, surrounded by incredible landscaped gardens, which has featured in the Harry Potter film series, as well as being within reach of the Northumberland National Park, Kielderhead National Nature Reserve and Kielder Forest Park, all of which boast a plethora of walking and cycling trails through rolling hills and enchanting forest.

About the location

Warkworth 1 mile; Alnmouth 4 miles.

The bustling little seaport of Amble is situated at the mouth of the River Coquet and is an ideal place for exploring Northumberland. Historically a centre for boatbuilding, Amble offers a marina, a harbour, sandy beaches and coastal walks to the bird sanctuary at Hauxley and country park at Druridge Bay. Large fishing boats moor along the harbour wall and land a variety of fish, prawns, crabs and lobsters. There is a fish centre on the side of the harbour that is now primarily a shell fish hatchery to re-stock levels of lobster and other shell fish, this sells local fish and is open to the public. A mile south of Amble is Coquet Island, an RSPB reserve with a large population of terns, puffins and eider ducks and boat trips around the island can be arranged. The pretty coastal villages of Alnmouth and Craster and numerous superb beaches are only a short drive away, whilst picturesque Warkworth with its castle, charming Alnwick with its castle and award-winning gardens, and the National Trust’s Wallington Hall and Cragside are all within easy reach.
