    All fixtures and fittings of the highest quality and in a great location. Outside the property was as well maintained as the inside, there was nothing we could find fault with. We would highly recommend Darling Cottage and hope to return in the not too distant future.

    "We very much enjoyed our stay at Darling Cottage."

    Amazed how quiet it was when we were so close to the busy village.We have been to Northumberland on a number of occasions and we can safely say this was one of the best weeks we have ever had there. The layout of the house was spot on and my wife found the downstairs bedroom and bathroom perfect for her. Definately 10 out of 10 on every level.

    In good decorative order, all the kitchenware etc you need. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend it to friends and family. 10 out of 10. My experience with Sykes was very poor, however the cottage owner was very easy to deal with

    "Absolutely gorgeous cottage."

    Everything you could want, immaculately clean, spacious, warm, comfortable and very tastefully decorated. Brilliant location just a 5 minute stroll to the local eateries, Grace Darling museum and 15 minute walk to Bamburgh Castle and the beach. Longer walks from the door, no need to get back in the car.

    "Darling Cottage is great property for a holiday in Northumberland."

    The house is very spacious, well furnished, comfortable and immaculately kept. The location is ideal for walking to the amenities, beach, park and the castle etc in the village of Bamburgh and for exploring Northumberland. Darling Cottage is a charming detached cottage settled into the seaside town of Bamburgh.

Close to Bamburgh Castle, and a selection of amenities and attractions, this property is ideal for a family or friends exploring all that Northumberland has to offer.

Enter into a lovely open-plan living space, discovering a kitchen with ample amenities to cater to your culinary needs.

The spacious area allows guests to socialise, cook together and enjoy a hearty meal at the dining table.

This social hub also offers a sitting area, and with the option of a second sitting room with an electric fire and Smart TV, it's ideal for movie nights.

When the sun is shining, head out into the rear, enclosed garden and dine alfresco, reflecting on the day’s adventures.

On the ground floor you will find the first of the three bedrooms, a double room, serviced by a shower room.

Alternatively, guests can head over to Seahouses where there is a golf course and sandy beach.

Travel to the incredible Holy Island and be amazed by its array of wonderful historical sites, including Lindisfarne Priory, Lindisfarne Castle and a museum on local history.

BAMBURGH

Seahouses 3.5 miles; Beadnell 5.1 miles; Alnwick 16.9 miles.

The village’s sweeping sandy beaches and dramatic fortress - Bamburgh Castle - make Bamburgh one of Northumberland’s major visitor attractions. The castle can be seen for miles and dominates this part of the county’s coastline. Today it remains home to the family of the great Victorian industrialist Lord Armstrong, and is open to the public on a daily basis. Although overshadowed by the great castle, Bamburgh village is picturesque with neat grey stone cottages facing a manicured village green. There are excellent pubs, hotels with restaurants and a small selection of village shops. There are golf courses in Bamburgh and nearby Seahouses, and within easy reach are more wide sandy beaches, lovely fishing villages, stunning castles and coastal islands to explore along the dramatic Heritage Coast. There are numerous other attractions also a short drive away, including the famous Alnwick Castle and Gardens and the historic walled border town, Berwick-upon-Tweed. A superb base for exploring Northumberland.
