“Oystercatcher is definitely the best equipped holiday house we have ever booked!”

And we have had a few! The house and garden are spacious, it is fitted out to the highest standard, and there is plenty of everything you can ever want, down to bowls for the dogs! The electronic equipment is high spec, so much so that some of our party hadn’t a clue how to use it! Thank goodness for the younger generation! The welcome/information booklet is very comprehensive and useful, great local knowledge. The owners are generous and obviously want their guests to enjoy

The property

The popular village of Embleton reveals Oystercatcher, a lovely detached cottage in easy reach of local amenities, and only fifteen minutes away from the golden sands and much desired golf course.

Whether you are joining friends or bringing along the family, this retreat is a breath of fresh air, a calm, serene place to base your holiday and build some memories.

The sitting rooms are comfortably designed, introducing refreshing artwork, which graces the walls, a theme continued throughout the property, courtesy of the owner’s photography.

There is an open-plan living area for those social hours with your loved ones, divided between a sage coloured kitchen, and a dining room which gives off a more rustic feel.

Natural light sweeps in through the windows, with an outlook over the beautiful garden tying this all together.

The bedrooms are effortlessly presented with one situated on the ground floor, well-appointed for the neighbouring cloakroom.

The upper level being home to a variety of room styles to suit every guest and an effective family bathroom.

This honeypot location benefits from a wonderful lawn garden, with a grand decked area and furniture where you can unwind under the sun.

A beautiful grassy path runs from the village to Craster, alongside the sea and past Dunstanburgh Castle, the largest ruined castle in Northumberland.

Why not pay a visit to the village pub, or adventure further afield to discover the amenities of nearby Alnwick.

The gardens at Howick Hall are open during the summer and are noted for their beauty, whilst Alnwick Castle and Garden are a 'must-see' when touring the area and beyond.

A perfect holiday destination.
