    “Really spacious house.”

Very well equipped with a high level of comfort. The dining table was especially wide which enabled perfect home dining. The Black Bull Inn, 5 minutes drive away, provides reasonably priced high quality food. A pool table in the games room was perhaps the main source of entertainment. The house had been cleaned to a very high standard. Absolutely loved staying there.

Moorhouse Farm Cottages

Tucked away within an idyllic setting, in the Northumberland countryside, are two stunning properties nestled within reach of the owner's working farmland. Moorhouse Farm Cottages provide a welcoming base for a weekend of celebration with your family and friends, offering luxury accommodation mixed with a rural escape. Both offer four hotel-style bedrooms with super-king-size beds, which can be changed to a twin on request via zip/link, as well as an open-plan living area and games room. With a host of walks, cycle paths and horse riding options on the doorstep, as well as the striking Cheviots to the west and the heritage coastline to the east, you don't have to look far for a new countryside pursuit each day. The village of Lowick is just a short stroll away, home to a local shop where you can stock up on snacks and cooking essentials for your self-catered stay, as well as two welcoming pubs when you fancy dining out on some classic pub grub and ale. Spend a day at one of the nearby beaches; choosing from sandy havens at Spittal Beach, Cocklawburn Beach, Bamburgh Beach, or Berwick-upon-tweed Beach Front, to name a few. Discover local history at one of Northumberland's popular attractions; visit Bamburgh Castle, take a boat trip from Seahouses to the Farne Islands, or admire the dramatic Alnwick Castle, the inspiration for Hogwarts in the Harry Potter film series. Other must-see locations are the ancient Holy Island of Lindisfarne, or Edinburgh city centre further afield. Whether you're looking for an active holiday or a peaceful one, Moorhouse Farm Cottages makes the ideal base.
