Lovely house.

Good location. Secure garden for dogs. Very clean and welcome pack was best we've had. Definitely recommend and hope to return.

A loverly place to stay, warm, comfortable and very safe for our dog.

The owners couldn’t have been more accommodating, lots of nice little touches that mate the property very welcoming. We wouldn’t hesitate to recommend it or indeed go back there.

Fantastic short stay at Cheriton , The property has everything you need for a great stay including a very secure garden which was perfect for our 2 dogs.

The welcome pack was probably the best we have had and communication from the hosts was great throughout. The house is very comfortable and well equipped and in the very nice village of Tuxford which has everything you would need including a pub , shop and a couple of takeaway options. Would happily stay here again if stopping in the area.

Great stay at Cheriton.

House is spacious, clean, warm and well-equipped, with plenty of space to unpack and store clothes. Nice welcome touches included milk, bread, fresh fruit and even eggs and many store cupboard items in the kitchen. Good location for visiting the historic Lincoln, Southwell (Minster), Retford and Newark, or a walk around nearby Clumber Park (NT).

This house has absolutely everything you need, spotlessly clean and far bigger than the photographs show.

Welcome pack and all the little extras like dishwasher tablets, washing pods, tea, coffee, sugar etc means you have to only pack your personal items. The owners have put a lot of thought, care and detail into this property . Absolutely superb.

Cheriton proved to be ideal for our stay.

Comfortable and homely, well equipped and the “welcome pack” was a lovely treat on arrival- “Thank you” The enclosed garden was perfect for our 2 border collies. The only niggle was that some of the cooking equipment had to been put away unclean. If back in the area we wouldn’t hesitate to book again.

We booked this property to visit family in the area.

Some very thoughtful touches for our arrival. A variety of dog bowls in different sizes, we have a Bullmastiff , and no one thinks about the big dogs …. Thank you . The garden was a great space, very secure for the big lad , he enjoyed rolling in the grass and sunbathing. Drive way a bit tight especially for larger cars , but plenty of roadside parking out front . Lovely walks near by . We will return.

Lovely property, just a couple of minutes walk to Tuxton centre where there's a pub, shops and takeaways.

Property was clean and well supplied with everything you could possibly need. Secure garden for our dogs to explore, would not hesitate to stay here again. Wonderful surprise when we arrived, jam, butter, milk, bread, biscuits and chocolate left for us, what a lovely touch.

Lovely house, convenient location for Lincoln and East Coast, great that it takes dogs, very comfortable and the basics food, snacks provided was a lovely touch.

We stayed at Cheriton inbetween selling and buying a house.

Diane and Dave have clearly thought carefully about what might be needed for visitors and there was everything available and more! Beautifully decorated and maintained. We felt at home as soon as we walked in. we were actually sad to not be staying longer. Within 5 minutes walking distance of shops and takeaways. This is how holiday accommodation should be presented. Very well done Diane and Dave .

Our time at Cheriton was lovely, the house was like a home away from home.

Diane and Dave went above and beyond, leaving basics like bread, butter, and eggs, and treats like candy for the kids. It was also in a great location that was easily walkable to shops, and we were able to get to the Halloween Trick or Treat trail in Ilkeston. Overall we enjoyed our two weeks and would love to spend more time exploring from Cheriton!

The holiday property was very good, really comfortable, and all facilities and equipment that we needed.

Only one quibble - the address did not give a house number, only the name, Cheriton. This made it a bit tricky to find - house number is 35B, on Newcastle Street. Please add that to your listing.

Lovely property.

Owners have very high standards and are very approachable and accommodating. 100% dog safe garden (fence in photos leads to another secure part of the property). Highly recommend.

Diane and Dave clearly take great pride in the comfort, cleanliness and presentation of their property and it was much appreciated as was the little extras that make all the difference.

They are first class hosts. We wouldn’t hesitate to return and to recommend to others.

Cheriton is in a perfect location for families with or without dogs.

The property itself is cosy and comfortable with a lovely seperate kitchen and dining room. The bedrooms are comfortable and having a downstairs shower/toilet is great. The upstairs bathroom is good as there is a bath with overhead shower. If taking children or dogs or both the garden is a must, large fully enclosed garden. There is lots to see in the area whether using the car or the local bus. Tuxford itself has two very interesting museums and numerous take aways if you don't want to cook every day. We had a lovely weeks stay and hope to return soon.

Had a great stay house had everything we needed Could have done with a stronger light in the garden for when the dog went out at night

We all agreed that Cheriton was the best out of many properties that we have stayed at.

We stayed at Cheriton whilst visiting the area for a family wedding.

It was the perfect base and had everything we could possibly need. There was an issue with the plumbing which the owners warned us about and it didn't really cause us a problem. Our car broke down while we were there and they kindly allowed us to stay a couple of hours longer until the AA could get us going again.

Could not have been better!

Super 3 bed property, welcome items much appreciated, great location for accessing local necessities along with short drive to A1 to visit lots of attractions in the area.

We had a lovely holiday thanks Diane for letting us stay at “Cheriton”.

Loved the place ideal for what we needed , the dogs loved the garden even though it was coverd in frost ,would highly recommend.

This accommodation was a working holiday for me and my two dogs.

Wifi was perfect. Large dining table perfect to accommodate PC & folders. Plenty of electric heaters, hot water, all cleaning products too! A welcome food pack was also provided. 1 minute walk from very small town but was adequate. 1 minute walk to farm road to let dogs off lead - they didnt enjoy this one though. There was a decent park a few miles away in next town - Thetford i think. 10 min easy drive and park right outside. If i had known this was there, i d have gone there every day. Beautiful park and can let dogs off lead - there is a stream though. Garden was flat and great - totally enclosed. If i could wish for one thing, it would have been for an electric security flood light out the back - so i could see the dogs

We loved the property, lovely peaceful garden where we spent many a happy hour.

Property is well stocked with most things you need. Few minutes walk to pubs, takeaways and shops. Very clean house and owners left us all the information we needed. Our dog loved the garden and going for local walks. Wifi was welcomed by our 3 children. Thank you for a wonderful stay!

A lovely spacious holiday home, everything you need is provided inc linen & towels .

The garden is a good size and totally secure for dogs too. There’s plenty to do within 20 minutes drive if you don’t want to venture too far. There’s two shops, a pub and three takeaways, the chippy is good and rubys pizza is ok too . If you’re vegan then it’s not tok difficult to eat here but it’s not too ofvthe lust but we did manage take away and the carpenters arms in walesby is vegan friendly. Rufford abbey and and climber park are worth visiting only 12 miles and are dog friendly too . Also ollerton out woods is 5 miles away which is good for waking the dogs . All in all most places easily accessible, a quiet little village with a relaxed atmosphere. Our hosts were excellent and we wanted for nothing 10 out of 10 .

We had a lovely 3 day stay at Cheriton!

The welcome milk and biscuits was lovely and the information pack couldn’t have had more information! The rooms were great, the kitchen was well stocked with utensils and the garden was fab for our dog, secure and a great size. We took our 10 month old and they owners left out a cot, highchair and there was a stair gate at the bottom too, which was brilliant for peace of mind with our little mover. The village had lots in walking distance and a great range of takeaways for the holiday treat. We’ve said we will definitely return Thanks for a lovely holiday

Lovely place to stay and close to Sherwood Forest and Lincoln for enjoyable days out.

The house is comfortable and spacious, and the welcome pack of crusty bread, butter, fruit, biscuits etc was a really lovely, thoughtful touch.

The information folder was very helpful, and when we needed to contact Diane the owner, she was quick to respond, and most kind. In the folder she recommended some local places to visit, eateries etc, and we had a great time following her recommendations. A lovely stay!

The property was very well equipped.

The garden was large and secure for our dogs. The owner telephoned on the morning of our arrival to say the house was ready and we could arrive early, which gave us half a day extra. There was a very generous welcome pack.

The house was immaculately clean and well prepared for our arrival. Lovely touches with welcome pack and note on arrival. This was a beautiful well appointed house with a wonderful secure garden for our dog, and fitted with good quality furniture. Although the internet was not working on arrival, it was fixed on our 5th day. Only minor complaint would be that duvets were too heavy for summertime and mattress not very comfortable (i.e.double too hard). Seems a shame to make these small negative comments as the house is great. Would certainly be happy to return.
