2 Golf Links Cottages

A lovely cottage in a perfect location across the road from from Delamere Forest and Delamere station with a lovely cafe.

We had a wonderful stay. The only issue was the sewerage smell / problem in the front garden which we reported.

We were visiting my dear friend from Florida whom I have known since college days in the 80’s.

2 Golf Links Cottage was very cozy! We loved it. It was very convenient to my friend & to train station. Close to Manchester, Liverpool, Chester, Wales & even London on the train. The location was not close to a regular grocery store, so I would recommend going to one before you get there. Instant hot water & pressure were excellent! Big frig was great. Saw washer but no dryer since it rained a bit, couldn’t hang laundry. Need directions for heat luckily I had my friend show me. Internet was strong and that was good for the electronics. I would definitely stay at 2 Golf Link Cottages and use Sykes Cottages to reserve!

We had a lovely week at Golf Links Cottage.

The cottage was clean, comfortable and extremely spacious Every amenity was provided The only small negatives were the busy local road nearby and the lack of a local shop

Lovely property, only thing letting it down is the cleanliness, cobwebs in every room.

Dirty under tables etc. In need of a really deep clean.

This was our second stay at 2 Golf Links Cottages and it has to be one of our favourites.

It’s very spacious, clean and beautifully situated. Ideal for long walks through Delamere Forest, visits to Chester, North Wales, Liverpool, Manchester, etc. The beds are comfortable, the big garden is great for us as well as for our dog. Everything you need for it to be a perfect home away from home. We would definitely return again (and again).

Just returned from a weekend at 2 Golf Links Cottage.

The cottage is in a very peaceful position and an ideal location to be able to visit various places if staying for a week without having to travel far. Everyone in our party enjoyed their stay. The house is quite big especially the kitchen which has an additional dining space. There is a big garden at the front and back if you're lucky enough with the weather. The only complaint I have is towards the cleaning team which is just small issues and can be easily rectified. Theres a few cobwebs around the house and the wooden door trim between the living room and kitchen had thick sticky dirt gathered underneath (not ideal with a 1 year old) In future maybe the cleaners should leave spare toilet paper as we were only left what was on the roll holder. As for the maintenance of the property I would like to bring to the owners attention that the woodwork (skirting boards, windowsills and wooden edging going up the stairs) of the house in general needs looking into before it gets really bad . I would like to point out that this didn't spoil our stay at the cottage at all, as we enjoyed it. It's just little things I think the owner would appreciate knowing about. Cottage had everything we needed.

Clean with very comfortable beds. Lovely welcome basket. Right beside train station. Trains to Chester and Liverpool on your doorstep. Had a relaxing and restful week. Very lucky with the weather.

Hi We love staying here and have stayed many times few things could improve 1.

Sofa Cover needs to be change to Dark Colour. 2. Small Hosepipe to wash dogs from walks. Things that do not understand why they have put a gate in the middle of the fence in-between the 2 properties serves no purpose and when windy blows open and could cause issue if there is people with Animals or Children in both properties. ☆☆Would suggest to put the fence panel back and remove gate. Love the location and the property hence why we return time after time. Debbie

As usual, an absolutely perfect stay at the cottage.

Spotlessly clean, cosy with everything we needed. We genuinely look forward to sleeping in the comfiest bed ever. This is now the only place we book when visiting family in the area as it feels like our own home away from home.

Well equipped, super comfy beds. Great location directly across from Delamere forrest and the train station to access Chester. Will definitely return.

Fantastic accommodation in excellent location.

Great facilities and attention to detail, only minor suggestions for improvement is to install a gate at the side of front garden and block off rear garden fully to adjoining property to make outdoors fully secure for the more explorative dogs (we have a siberian husky!). We throughly enjoyed our break and have booked again.

Great cottage.

Much larger than expected. Peaceful. Not over looked. Great location. Especially for the Forest Live Concerts. Would definitely stay again. Highly recommend

2 Golf Links Cottages is truly one of the best holiday homes we’ve been to.

It’s very spacious, clean, has an amazing garden, the beds were very comfortable (and big) and the house was well equipped. The location is ideal as well. On the edge of Delamere Forest, only a short drive away from Chester. We would definitely recommend staying here to anyone and will definitely be back in the future.

We super enjoyed our three night stay here it’s extremely well situated with Delamere Forest just over the road and the station with links to local cities a short drive to other attractions too.

It was immaculately clean and full of everything you may need for self catering which is great, the bathroom is very luxurious, the water pressure is amazing and the whole home is lovely and warm with excellent heating and plenty of radiators throughout. Two areas that could be improved is it is supposed to be an enclosed garden however my dog could fit under the gate so perhaps something on the bottom of the gate or additional gate on the garden would be super then I could leave my dog to roam safely. The lounge curtains are very thin having a thermal curtains would make it a lot warmer and cosier. We hope to return in December for a weeks stay and in future too thanks for a lovely break

Everything was fabulous!

Location, facilities, everything!! Had issues with heating on arrival but this was very quickly remedied and I would like to thank everyone concerned. I really appreciated the amount of effort that had been made to make it a real welcoming ‘home from home’ We had a fabulous Christmas, which we wouldn’t have been able to have due to my daughters work commitments, having to work Xmas day! The cottage meant we could spend precious family time together! Thank you, look forward to being there again!

You could do with a shower mat in shower especially in the bath as it is very slippery to get in and out,a bath was very relaxing after a day walking.

We thoroughly enjoyed our extended stay!

The owner is very friendly and responsive - all the points mentioned in previous reviews have been addressed to give a modern, well equipped cottage with everything you need. The location is great too, with forest walks on the doorstep and the station nearby for days when you don't want to drive.

Absolute gem of a property.

Attention to detail was 100%. Very comfortable and cosy cottage. Deceptively large, loads of outdoor space and very central location for everywhere! Train station a hop, skip and jump away to take you to Chester or Manchester. Beautiful walking and cycling trails. Loads of very good pubs for food and drink. We had a fantastic 5 days there. Just the tonic we needed. Feedback: Cleaner needs to get rid of cobwebs and dust. Appreciate renovations may be recent so dust is still settling. The external sink/drain is blocked (at back door). Think there was supposed to he someone coming during our stay to look at the guttering but not sure if they came? TV in the master room would be a nice touch

Could do with an Iron and Ironing Board and a Hairdryer, other than that it was a perfect stay and we will be back

Great cottage, lovingly refurbished.

Just needs a few more utensils in the kitchen and another comfy chair in the lounge. Ideally located for walking without the need to get in your car!

The house is immaculate and in a great location.

Bedrooms are good, beds are comfortable and the location is very central and close to railway line for trips to Manchester/Chester. The Rail cafe is fantastic as are the local PYO Strawberries within walking distance! There are a number of great pubs too. Thoroughly recommended, we would definitely come again!
