Easy access, everything was ready our arrival including a generous welcome basket, which was greatly appreciated.

The accommodation was spotlessly clean. We enjoyed the hot tub which was maintained by the owner every day. It was very spacious and a good location for our walks in the countryside.

Really lovely house in a nice area.

We booked it to celebrate a family birthday and it was perfect. Has everything you need and we really appreciated the wee welcome basket. Only negative I can think of is that the 10am check out is a bit early, but understand it’s a big house to clean for the next guests. Could probably do with a couple of speakers for music, but we managed to connect to the tv.

Wonderful stay We’ve just had the most wonderful week staying at this beautiful converted barn with a group of 8, and we honestly couldn’t have asked for a better place to stay!

The owner was so friendly and helpful, even meeting us on arrival to show us around and explain all the facilities. We were also greeted with a lovely little hamper of goodies, which was such a thoughtful touch.

A Perfect Holiday We had the most fabulous stay at Langley Barn, the owners were there to welcome us and made it clear that if we needed anything just to ask.

The accommodation was perfect for our family and we could not fault it! It was spotlessly clean and wanted for nothing. The location is idyllic and sitting out on the patio looking out over the fields was wonderful. Our days were spent visiting various National Trust locations, walking and biking - you are spoilt for choice. We wished we could have stayed for another week and very much hope to return in the future.

Absolutely fabulous location.

Rolling landscapes all around. Peaceful. Luxury accommodation. Spacious. Private. Every thing you could possibly need has been thought about.

Excellent facilities - very well appointed and comfortable.

Would have liked provision of a coffee machine; also on details, the shower bases were rather slippery and so needed shower mats, and the view from the bedrooms was onto a store of building materials and would ideally have been screened. Finally the location instructions should perhaps have included reference to Kirk Langley when mentioning Church Lane. However, overall we were all very pleased with the accommodation and enjoyed our stay.

A fantastic venue in a wonderful location.

Lovely comfortable bedrooms and a large open shared space downstairs. We organised a chef for my birthday celebrations and this property provided an ideal space for the chef and also for the 8 of us to dine. The hot tub was a wonderful luxury too. Very friendly, welcoming host.

Lovely spacious property, in a fantastic location.

Hard to believe it's so close to Derby! Everything was spotlessly clean, beds comfortable. Kitchen big enough and equiped to fully cater for 8 guests. We had a fantastic weekend.

Absolutely stunning accommodation, ideally situated near enough to shops etc but far enough away to feel secluded and peaceful.

The place is really well equipped, has really comfy beds and an amazing hot tub. The hosts were brilliant, very friendly and helpful when we had questions etc. We had an amazing stay and would definitely return.

Langley Barn is a great space for socialising.

The communal area is huge allowing everyone to do their thing, being it cooking, watching TV or playing cards. We had a great time and have no hesitation recommending the property. We agree with previous reviews that the welcome pack is exceptional and the beds very comfortable.

The barn is absolutely stunning, spotless and so well equipped.. Nicola the host is so lovely. We are definitely returning,. We have been going away for 10years now as a group of 6, to unwind and chill after a. busy Christmas, and enjoy listening to music and watching TV… The WIFI connection is poor, so this did mean this proved difficult, so maybe a Booster would help. Also a retractable cover for the hiot tub for rainy days. Please do not hesitate to book this accommodation you won’t be disappointed.

We had a fabulous weekend at Langley Barn.

Our hosts welcomed us on arrival and responded to any query promptly and helpfully. The central location meant this was an ideal place for our family to meet and the spaciousness of the accommodation gave us all plenty of room. The hot tub was a hit with younger guests and the kitchen made catering a joy! Luxurious en-suite bedrooms made for restful nights. Highly recommended!

The property is much bigger than it looks in the photos which was a welcomed surprise. The house is finished beautifully and we will be certainly returning again in the near future.

This was our second visit to Langley Barn, and once again, it absolutely didn’t disappoint.

The house is fabulous—spacious, beautifully designed, and wonderfully cosy thanks to the underfloor heating. The kitchen is huge and incredibly well-equipped, making it a joy to cook and gather in. Each bedroom has its own lovely en-suite, with a super comfortable bed and a dressing table and mirror. Evenings were spent relaxing in the hot tub under the dark, star-filled sky—a perfect way to unwind. The owners have truly thought of everything you could possibly need for a memorable stay, right down to the thoughtful welcome basket waiting for us on arrival. We had such a fantastic time that we’ve already booked again for next year. Langley Barn really is a special place we can’t wait to return to!

From the moment we arrived, to the moment we left we felt right at home!

We were blown away with how lovely Langley Barn was - beautiful setting, so clean, beautiful interiors and facilities, etc. It did not disappoint. Myself and my family loved our stay. Nicola & Alistair were so friendly and helpful, thank you both for all your help, it was great to meet you.

Been to this place before and the fit out is of the highest quality through out, the owners have spared nothing when they designed this holiday barn conversion, I have been to many holiday homes over the years and this is the best place I have ever stayed at.

The owners are lovely too living close by, and nothing is too much trouble if you need anything, a lovely touch too with some welcome bits including beers in the fridge, the place is just pure class. You wont regret choosing this place and we will certainly be going back.

We had a fantastic week at Langley Barn.

The barn is so beautifully done to make it such a lovely holiday home. The barn was very spacious and as we had booked the week for a family holiday, some from Germany, some from England, it was perfect. Every bedroom with on suite bathrooms made it so easy for everyone. We were all impressed from the big kitchen, dining and living room. The owners are extremely helpful and showed us around on arrival. The hot tub was enjoyed by many of us. We had infants and toddlers with us and it was the perfect house for a family get together. It was hard to leave. Thank you so much.

What an absolute stunning property.

They had thought of everything in the kitchen. Normally you don't have enough pans or knives etc to cook with but we had enough and more. Location was beautiful and quite a proper hide away. Hosts were lovely too

What can I say?

A beautiful property, situated in a quiet remote area but only a short drive to major roads and surrounding villages, towns and cities. The property has everything you need for your stay. It is very well equipped, comfortable and and a big plus that all the bedrooms had their own en-suite bathrooms. It suited all the generations in our party. The TV had access to streaming services and there was also a cupboards full of games to suit all ages. We made full use of the lovely hot tub, it was lovely sat out under the stars! The owners were really lovely and welcoming and on hand if we had any questions. We’ll definitely recommend this property to our family and friends and hopefully have a return visit ourselves sometime in the future.

By far one of the best holiday properties we have ever had!

They really have thought of everything. The kitchen was especially well equipped with plenty of crockery, cutlery, pans and trays etc enough to cook a full roast dinner if you so wish. Plenty of comfortable seating for everyone inside and out, and the hot tub overlooking the wheat field was large enough for 5 of us. We would definitely recommend, in fact I’ve already past on details. Thank you

The property exceptionally well-equipped and impeccably presented.

We wanted for nothing. The kitchen contained everything necessary to cater for a group of eight adults, the beds were extremely comfortable, and all home comforts were thoughtfully provided. The patio area resembled a Mediterranean resort (especially when the sun shone which it did throughout the week), and we our time relaxing on the sun loungers, enjoying the jacuzzi, and making use of the BBQ. Our hosts were available if needed (though we did not require their assistance) and gave us a warm welcome upon arrival. We will certainly return.

Langley Barn has been finished to a very high standard.

Clean modern fittings and high class fixtures throughout the premises and this standard is carried through to the outdoor area including the hot-tub. Friendly, helpful owners live nearby should they need to be contacted. We had a great week there and would be very happy to book there again.

Beautiful location, so peaceful, surrounded by pretty countryside. Hares and pheasants can be seen from hot tub. Barn has been lovingly created by current owners to an exceptionally high standard throughout. Very well equipped, spacious and comfortable.

No arguing over who gets the best bedroom as there are four generously sized en-suite bedrooms ! The open plan lounge and kitchen area is stunning! Possibly the most well equipped self catering property we have ever stayed in - literally has everything you could ever need and then some! The owner was very friendly and welcoming - very generous welcome pack! We would definitely stay here again - 10/10 !!

An amazing place to slay, this has to be one of the best farm houses I’ve ever stayed in.

The attention to detail is absolutely spot on, everything is catered for. The owners are also both amazing they met us when we got in and helped show how the different equipment operates. The welcome pack was also the best I’ve seen, we felt truly spoilt. If anyone wants to find a glorious place to stay then this is the one! The surrounding areas have some lovely places to visit with true English heritage and the nearby pubs are lovely, warm and welcoming. Next time we visit Derbyshire we will be staying here again.

Great house for a large group.

Spotless. Excellent communication from the owners before and during our stay. The largest TV ever. The kitchen has lots of crockery etc and lots of pans and trays. 2 ovens makes it brilliant for self catering. More trivets would be helpful when plating up.

Oh my word what an amazing barn.

We were met by the owner who showed us around which was helpful. The barn is a fabulous space, open plan kitchen, dining, living, great for our group, very comfortable, massive tv & we all loved the cozy media wall fireplace. The barn is very well equipped, the owners have thought of everything you might need during your stay. Beds were super comfy, crisp white bedding & the fluffiest towels. Fabulous hot tub, very private overlooking fields & we were lucky to see the Aurora Borealis. We loved it so much we booked for next year & we can’t wait.

Langley Barn was just perfect for a relaxing week away.

Plenty of space for six people to spread out. The large lounge area with giant TV screen and comfy sofa made for a cosy night in when the rain was pouring down outside. During the day it was so nice to sit on the large decking areea for brunch, enjoying the stillness of the surrounding countryside, followed by a dip in the hot tub. We really didn't want to leave.

There was more than enough space for 8 adults and we found plenty of things to do in the area. The property was immaculate and very well equipped with all we could possibly need. The hot tub was a welcome addition, especially after a day of cycling. The owners are just next door but we had no need to contact them.

Langley Barn is simply stunning, wonderfully completed by the owners with plenty of space for all the family.

The barn has everything you need for your stay and was super clean. The garden area is completely private and spacious with a wonderful hottub complete with lights for the evening . The owners and family were very friendly and helpful during the stay. Whilst the barn is isolated we were able to enjoy many days out with main attractions reached in 30 minutes. All in all a great holiday with 3 generations of family.

Seven adults stayed for a week and we all thoroughly enjoyed it. Well equipped with everything you require, very spacious, clean and immaculate. Beds were very comfortable and large! Lovely hot tub with outside seating space and bbq. Friendly owners nearby if needed and was lovely to be welcomed and shown around. Would definitely recommend.

A fabulous place to stay.

We had a great time and whilst the weather was not too kind we enjoyed getting out everyday as lots to do in the area. The road to the property is narrow and has fields and cowslip on both sides and you feel like you might be going the wrong way but keep going and you will see the barn.

It was so nice to have an en-suite in every bedroom and a well-equipped kitchen. The welcome basket was a lovely touch and wow, that TV, what can I say? It is so often you stay at cottages listed as accommodating 8, only to find that there aren't enough chairs or space to be comfortable. Not here; plenty of room for everybody. Would we go again or recommend it to others? Absolutely - lovely hosts.

If you want to get away from it all in luxury with good company then this is the place for you!

The cottage was immaculate, top quality and so well laid out. The wildlife in the area was amazing, buzzards, kites a real treat. Cannot recommend this place enough, the hot tub was a must after a long walk and well sited in order to enjoy nature at its best!

I booked Langley barn as a surprise holiday for my family my husband and myself 5 adults and 2 children under 11 we had a fantastic time, the barn was so well equipped we had everything we needed.

It's a huge barn 4 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms so we all had our own space. The hot tub was the main attraction it was used every day. I would like to thank Alistair the owner for greeting us on our arrival to show us around.

Fantastic space to enjoy as two families, very clean, well equipped. We all loved the hot tub, the kids loved the 75” TV! Great location to explore the Derbyshire Dales and Peak District - so much to do! We will recommend this property to everyone!

Hidden dream from the dumpy road leading to it. Offered everything you would need in the kitchen. Only a few things I would have liked a tv in master bedroom and some big pictures of the barn then and know as they have plenty of space. 10 out of 10 Lovely couple

Well what can I say, this property is by far the best I have ever stayed in, nothing was too much trouble for the host who made sure we had every thing we needed for a family Christmas.

Beds, furniture, kitchen, bathrooms etc all great quality and super clean. Location is perfect too for a quiet stay plus fabulous private outdoor space with large hot tub. Host Alistaire was super friendly and couldn’t have been more helpful. A gem of a find and a must stay!

We had an absolutely amazing stay at Langley Barn.

The barn has been converted beautifully. The space inside and outside is amazing and everything that you could possibly need is provided. The underfloor heating made it so cosy. We'd love to come back if we have another group get together.

This holiday property is second to none, very spacious, well presented and the quality of the furniture, fixtures and fittings are amazing.

There is an en-suite in every bedroom and the kitchen area is fully fitted out with everything you could ever need. The owners are only next door if needed and are very friendly and helpful. We have only just got back and have already booked for early next year, this is by far the best Sykes holiday home I have stayed in.

We went on 2 October 2023 and the property had only been available for a few months: consequently every thing was brand new! It's really big and spacious with EVERY amenity. The property owners live on site which is really handy. Would go back in an instant!

Perfect peace and quiet with all you could need and more. Well cared for, spotlessly clean and owners so friendly and happy to help and felt they genuinely wanted us to have the best holiday which is lovely. 100% would recommend.

This was a beautiful barn conversion, very well finished and one of the most well stocked kitchens I have seen in a holiday property.

The spacious outside area with the hottub was well used and we a a few barbecues into the evening making use of the pretty outside lighting. Alistaire (the host) met us on arrival and gave us a very helpful personal tour and explanation of the property and its workings. He was also available if needed. We would highly recommend a stay in this stunning barn.

A superb holiday cottage which exceeded our expectations.

It was beautifully finished, spacious and extremely well equipped. It was spotlessly clean and we all enjoyed our stay there. The children 15, 7 and 2 absolutely loved exploring the house and garden. We cooked all our meals there and had everything we needed. The owners live next door and were lovely. We had a beautiful hamper of goodies and drinks awaiting our arrival including gluten free items for our granddaughter which was so thoughtful and much appreciated. There were lots of days out to be had nearby within easy driving distance. We had such a lovely relaxing week and the adults very much enjoyed the hot tub to relax in after a long day. We would definitely recommend a stay there.
