Well maintained property in a very scenic & calm environment.

Property was very nice credit to David and sally.

not a lot of privacy if you was to sit outside we didn't realize there were 8 cottages in total all together so you was overlooked at the back.

Excellent standard of property throughout.

Very well equipped and comfortable beds. Everything was super clean. Lovely location. Good communication from our hosts before and during our short stay. The “Welcome Pack” was very welcome. Would highly recommend this cottage.

My friends and I had a fabulous weekend away at Rowan cottage.

Everything was as described and the cottage was immaculate when we arrived. As the weather was exceptionally warm we particularly enjoyed eating outside together and went on many walks in the local area. Sally (the owner) was kind and helpful if we needed anything. An absolute superb renovated barn providing a most comfortable, quite and well equipped accommodation.

Lovely accommodation on a working farm.

Our grandchildren absolutely loved seeing the cows, bulls, ducklings and moving tractor! Friendly helpful owners. Our only issue was a mistake on the listing that I had also double checked with Sykes and was given incorrect info. The owners have told Sykes several times to adjust the listing - there is NO private patio area. There are places to sit outside but there are no actual boundaries for children. We worked around this but would not have booked it had we known.

We thoroughly enjoyed our week at Rowan Cottage - finished to a very high standard and fantastically managed by David and Sally.

Our 2 family farmers had great fun helping with the cattle and having a farm tour! A few minor niggles and by no means complaints - a chest of drawers in the ground floor bedroom would be helpful and also a larger fridge - we struggled a bit with 6 adults and a toddler!

Great accommodation for our week away, the three bedrooms and three bathrooms were a plus and having one of those (bedroom and bathroom) on the ground floor helped.

Very comfortable beds and well appointed in every other way. Very fast internet too.

The location is great for exploring nearby places and you can go on walks in the countryside right from the door. The place is beautifully decorated and the kitchen is well equipped with everything you need. There were six adults and one baby, and we felt there was lots of room for all of us. We would definitely stay again.

We absolutely loved our stay at Rowan Cottage.

It was everything we expected. Sally and David made us very welcome and were on hand if we needed anything. The cottage was spotless and comfortable and cosy. The beds were comfortable and I loved the bath! Rowan Cottage is the ideal spot for family and friends gatherings and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend or return. The area is beautiful with lovely walks from the front door. All in all, a lovely Cottage!

A beautifully presented property, in a great location.

This house was spotless upon arrival and our initial look at the property was nothing but positive. We all had a fabulous time here. My only few things for feedback would be that the shower pressure and temperature was very low. For sure beautiful shower space this is was disappointing. Also the kitchen was low on utensils for cooking eg only 1 sharp knife and 1 chopping board.

Lovely cottage in beautiful area.

Loved seeing the cows out of the windows. Large spacious property. Comfortable beds. Very peaceful & quiet. Beautiful big free standing bath but unfortunatley water not very hot , same with the showers slow pressure & not very hot.

We stayed at Rowan’s Yard for a friend’s reunion weekend.

It was a lovely property, perfect for our reunion with a bedroom and bathroom each and lots of space to spend time together. The property was well furnished and we appreciated the log fire on a cold evening!

Lovely and clean, great social space, comfy beds and great surroundings. Great value for money, plenty of room for 6 of us. Lovely and warm on a cold day, plenty of parking, welcome pack on arrival. Really couldn’t ask for much more.

Folds Yard is an outstanding holiday rental house, which is in an excellent location, quiet, comfortable, well maintained, very clean and excellently presented, with all the facilities needed for a great holiday break.

We cannot fault and highly recommend this property to anyone visiting Derbyshire and the Peak District, only a short drive to Matlock Bath. Thank you David & Sally for the welcome pack and making our stay with grandchildren a memorable one.

Absolutely beautiful accommodation in a beautiful setting.

The property had everything we needed and was quiet and peaceful. Lots to do nearby as well. The owners David and Sally were very friendly and helpful.

Me & my family enjoyed a lovely weekend in Rowan cottage, it was well equipped & very comfortable. Only a short drive to all the things we wanted to do & places we ate in. Would definitely recommend!

We were extremely happy with Rowan Cottage.

It was spacious, clean and well equipped. Sally was very helpful and told us of pubs and restaurants in the area and also of places to visit. We had an amazing time and had a perfect week of weather too which was a bonus. We hope to return sometime and will tell our friends. Thank you so much.

Folds Yard was the perfect host for our weekend stay.

We had a number of the properties booked for a wedding at the local village hall, which Folds Yard was in easy walking distance to/from. The accommodation is modern, clean, welcoming, and has everything you could want. We had a brilliant stay.

A beautiful stay, the accommodation was stunning.

Such a high standard and had everything you need. My daughter absolutely loved having the cows right outside and visited them everyday. Plus we got to see the new calf which was so lovely. Would definitely return. Thank you so much

We had a lovely stay at this property, which is really beautifully furnished and located on a working dairy farm.

David and Sally were excellent, attentive hosts and we would happily stay again. There are some issues at present with the drains which caused some nasty smells, but it appears the hosts are aware and working to address.

Superb cottage in a beautiful area.

Unfortunately we had to cut short our trip when one of our party had an accident. Sally and David were brilliant helping us deal with it, they couldn’t have done more, nothing was too much trouble.

Absolutely stunning location and property is to a very high standard with everything you need inside.

We absolutely loved our stay here and the space provided. It's a nice private location - we didn't really notice your on a working farm - with lots of cute towns and things to do nearby. The only thing to be aware of is the property is only part of the building with a couple more cottages adjacent however once inside you don't notice or hear any of the neighbouring properties.
