A real home from home. The Beds the most comfortable I have ever slept in for a holiday cottage and finally for the communications received from Tessa.

a lovely house full of everything that you need spotless and just a short walk to the town.

a special mention to alistair who was the perfect host.another plus was the bus service which was just inside the town,we parked the car for a week and used the bus service which saved us a fortune in petrol and parking fees.so in conclusion a perfect spotless base to explore the peak district,book your stay here,you won't be disappointed.

Location was perfect for our stay within easy reach of everything we wanted. The house was lovely and clean and incredibly well kitted out for all of our needs. The kitchen was probably the best one we've stayed at in terms of furnishings, utensils and gadgets.

The property has everything you need plus more! The welcome hamper was a lovely addition and very thoughtful. The location is perfect for travelling to different attractions and it’s in a quiet residential area with nice views from the garden. The property was clean and comfortable and well equipped. The owners are very helpful and informative and can’t do enough for their bookings. We will definitely recommend to family and friends and book for another visit! Thank you!

Sylvannah was very very welcoming on arrival, with a lamp left on, it all looked very cosy.

The welcome hamper was probably the best we have ever had and was very much appreciated by both us and our dogs. We’ve never stayed in a holiday let that you really don’t want for anything, it’s all been thought of. The beds both for us and our dogs were very comfortable. The house is situated a short stroll from Buxton centre where everyone is very friendly and accommodating, especially with our two Irish setters . We loved our stay and will look forward to returning in the future .

We stayed at sylvannah from June 8th for 4 nights and it was absolutely beautiful,so clean and comfortable and our staffie gypsy was very impressed with the two dog beds,treats,there was even blankets and towels for her,we loved the hamper which was so generous,we honestly couldn't fault the place,having the extra toilet down stairs was such a help,I would definitely recommend it to everyone and will be booking it again very soon

Lovely house, perfectly situated, very well equipped and with the best welcome pack we’ve had.

This was our second stay and we’ve booked again for next year. Everything you want from a holiday home and more. The owners are really helpful- we had an issue with the Nespresso machine which was sorted straight away. Already looking forward to our next visit

We had a lovely week at Sylvannah.

There was everything that you could need. The beds and bedding were nice so we had a good night's sleep after a day sightseeing. Our two Dachshunds were well catered for also. The garden was perfect for them. Just a ten minute walk to the town. Plenty to do in Buxton of you don't want to go any further. There was a nice hamper on arrival and we loved the addition of the paint brush!

Communication from Tessa was excellent before, during and after our stay. Perfectly located in Buxton for all amenities, a short walk to local restaurants and public houses. Superb welcome basket and added little touches around the house. Our pooches loved their treats and comfy dog beds. We couldnt of asked for more

We had a fantastic stay at Sylvannah.

You can really tell a lot of thought has gone into the place — everything we needed was there. The welcome hamper was such a lovely surprise, and it was great to find milk, butter and bread waiting for us too. We especially loved the coffee machine (so much that my husband has bought the same one for home!). The house was spotless and really comfortable, and it just felt easy to settle in and relax. It’s also in a great location, only a short walk into the centre of Buxton, which made everything really convenient. We travel quite a lot around the UK, and Sylvannah is honestly one of the cleanest and most thoughtfully set-up places we’ve stayed in. We’d definitely recommend it.

We have stayed at many cottages/houses over the years, this was by far the best.

There was everything in it you would need and beyond. A wonderful welcome basket, and exceptionally clean. The dog was spoilt too with treats, blankets and towels. 10 minute was to town, lovely and quiet too. Exceptional.

Great place to explore Buxton and beyond.

Perfectly positioned. The property is the most resourced of holiday homes we have stayed in. The winery’s account for every eventuality and taste. We’ll definitely return for another visit

What a wonderful place to stay.

The home was so well equipped with everything you could possibly need includingthe needs of our dogs. We had a wonderful welcome on arrival with a lovely cup of tea and a wonderful hamper. So thoughtful. I will definitely be recommending to friends and family. We hope to return again in the not to distant future . Fabulous

Brilliant accommodation to such a very high standard.

Everything you could possibly need, very comfortable, well furnished and lovely and warm. The welcome pack was very generous. The owner was very kind and considerate. Would strongly recommend this property for anyone wanting to visit this area.

We had an absolutely fantastic time, Sylvannah was warm, cosy and decorated for Halloween.

Everything was there you could just rock up and be ok. The cleanliness was second to none, the beds comfy, great shower, the kitchen had every bit of equipment you needed even a great Nespresso. It was in a very quiet location but within 7 min walk to main town Buxton with lots of bars and restaurants. The cottage caters for dogs too but it is so spotless you would not know. Thank you so very much for a fabulous stay and your generosity with the hamper was unreal we enjoyed every crumb including Rodney and Fergus we would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it.

This was in a great location - so quiet yet so near to the centre of Buxton.

My friends and I had a wonderful weekend at Sylvannah.

The house was perfect for four adults, and was cosy, clean and extremely well-equipped. It's in a quiet location, convenient to walk into Buxton as well as easy to drive into the Peak District for walking.

It is incredibly well equipped and clean. I had the best nights sleep I think I have ever experienced in a rental home, very comfortable bed. Great location and the owner made sure we were happy and had everything we needed. We were thrilled at the fantastic hamper waiting for us. We would definitely recommend a stay at lovely Sylvannah.

Excellent home, in a great location, short walk into Buxton.

The house felt really homely, but with lots of quality touches which were much appreciated. Generously thoughtful welcome hamper. The beds are comfortable but very much on the firm side, so bear in mind if you prefer a soft mattress. Would happily stay again.

Das Haus und der Garten sind sehr schön und gemütlich. Wir haben uns wie zu Hause gefühlt. Alles war sehr sauber und gepflegt. Die Ausstattung ist gehoben und es ist wirklich alles vorhanden, was man für einen erholsamen Urlaub benötigt. Wir haben eine Grundausstattung von Tee, Kaffee, Spültabs, Waschmittel usw. vorgefunden sowie einen Korb mit Leckereien für die gesamte Familie. Vielen Dank Tessa!

Sylvannah is a lovely home just a few minutes walk from Buxton town centre.

The house and location are great. We visited for a short break with our dog. The house was spotless and very well-equipped with instructions for everything. It is also very cosy with throws, blankets and beds for the dog. On arrival we found a fabulous hamper for us and lots of dog treats. There was also bread, milk and spread which was totally unexpected, but a lovely touch. We would definitely recommend and would stay again.

Peaceful and quiet location but not far from Buxton centre. Dogs also very much catered for and made to feel welcome too. If visiting the area again would definitely book Sylvannah again.

Great 4 nights at the Sylvannah in Buxton.

Good location only 10 mins walk from the high street. Lots of info provided by the owner. As for the property we couldn't ask for any more. It strikes me that the owner has asked themselves " what would I need and want if staying away from home" and they have duly provided it. Lots of quality touches such as fluffy towels and great bedding that smell awesome!!!. It's definitely one of the best spec'd properties we have stayed in. The welcome hamper was also full of lots of yummy items and greatly appreciated

Sylvannah is an extremely well equipped and comfortable house in an excellent location.

We really appreciated the level of equipment in the kitchen, it really made cooking for Christmas much less stressful! Our dogs liked the treats and dog beds provided. The house itself is located in a very quiet residential area 10/15 mins walk from the centre of Buxton - perfect for accessing he town and exploring more widely. A great Christmas break.

We had a fabulous pre-Christmas holiday with our two dogs exploring Buxton and going for some lovely walks.

The property was very modern and had everything you could need to make it a home from home.

It was in a really good location close to town (quiet too) and the allocated parking was handy. The hamper was a lovely surprise with treats for both human and dog guests. We meet Tessa, the owner, on arrival and was made to feel very welcome. We would definitely look to stay again in the future and would recommend the property to others.

The house is a real home from home. Tessa, the host, has thought of everything to make her guests feel comfortable and welcome. We could not fault the facilities provided, which were all top notch. The welcome hamper was outstanding and even provided treats for the dog. The house was decorated, tastefully, for Halloween, which my granddaughter loved. The house is in an ideal location to walk into Buxton, to sample all the delights on offer there, and the wider area. Thoroughly recommend to anyone wanting to stay in the area.

Clean and organised and very well equipped. The location is also very convenient for walking into the town and for using as a base to explore the wider area. Allocated parking at the front door is a huge plus point too. I’d recommend this property.

We have very much enjoyed our week’s stay at Sylvannah - it is a lovely quiet, immaculately clean, very well appointed, comfortable house and the attention to detail is second to none.

The owners have thought of everything, even for our little dog! (dog beds, bowls, treats, towel, throws for the sofas). The welcome hamper was superb and it was lovely to meet Tessa (the owner) on arrival. The neighbours were also very friendly. The garden is secure for dogs so there were no worries there. Parking was right outside (space for 2 cars if necessary). It is easy to walk into Buxton which we did numerous times over the week. We can certainly recommend staying at Sylvannah.

Sylvannah is a luxurious accommodation.

The location is excellent. The neighbours we spoke with were all lovely and happy to chat with. There are reserved spaces for 2 cars. The communication from the owners both before and after our stay was faultless. We spent 4 nights here and were incredibly impressed with the attention to detail provided throughout the house. It’s clear that this is a labour of love rather than just about making money. A luxury welcome pack awaited both us & the dog. The bed mattress was super comfy. Towels were pristine & fluffy. Many kitchen items were Joseph & Joseph or M&S. The television was modern with all streaming apps available for personal login. WiFi was perfect. We have stayed in many cottages and caravans over the last 3 years with our little rescue dog, and this is by far the highest standard of accommodation we’ve enjoyed so far. We can’t praise it highly enough & hope to return next year.

Slyvannah in Buxton is by far the most comfortable, clean and convenient property we have stayed in.

The facilities are luxurious and the welcome hamper extremely generous both for humans and their dogs. The property is in a very restful part of the town within easy walking distance of lovely restaurants, pubs, bookshops and many other attractions. With a very short drive or 20 minute walk you can find a beautiful nature reserve that we and dogs loved. The two allocated car parking spaces are a boon and there is safe and convenient on road parking for a third car if needed. Hosts and very welcoming and easy to contact if needed. We would recommend the property very highly and would definitely like to stay there again. Certainly top marks all round from us.

We had a lovely stay here, the house was immaculate clean tidy the attention to detail was absolutely perfect, small outside area was great for sitting and relaxing which we enjoyed, beautiful decor in the bedrooms, only tricky we had was the microwave but we managed to sort it, stunning hamper on arrival was lovely touch especially the strawberries, only criticism we felt was to many couches in the living area not a lot of room to manoeuvre about, but would definitely recommend and hopefully we will go back one day

The accommodation was excellent. The house is very comfortable and conveniently located. It provides a wonderful Base for seeings Buxton and visiting the surrounding area. We had a fabulous stay at Sylvannah.

The house was very well appointed, comfortable and with thoughtful finishing touches. It was a short walk to restaurants and other facilities and very welcoming to our dogs with lovely beds, bowls and treats for them. Would happily stay here again.

We had a short break here and only wanted somewhere as a base while we had days out, enjoying the beautiful surrounding area.

The property far exceeded our expectations and would be a very comfortable place to stay if you plan on relaxing more than walking. It was by far the cleanest property we've ever stayed in in 25 years of renting holiday cottages. My husband and daughter enjoyed the Nespresso machine and the welcome hamper was an unexpected and very generous gift. The BT WiFi was very useful, no problems with parking and accessing the key safe was easy. Communication with the owners was excellent. Outstanding holiday let, we would have no hesitation in recommending.

We only had 2 nights but the stay was delightful and much of the enjoyment was due to the exceptional facilities offered by the property.

Just back from our stay in sylvannah cottage I've stayed in several sykes cottages and have to say this is the best .

The property is short of nothing attention to detail is superb instructions for every appliance loved the coffee machine the beds are super comfy. It was great to have two parking spaces aswell the best welcome hamper we ever received much appreciated we only stayed 2 nights but will definitely be booking again thankyou for everything

We absolutely loved our stay at Sylvannah.

It is so well located to visit so many places, such as Castleton, Bakewell, Matlock Bath, and of course Buxton which is just a short walk from the house. Poole's Cavern, as well as the others at Castleton are nearby, and High Peak Bookstore and Cafe were a delight on a rainy afternoon, plus there are so many walks you are spoilt for choice (Thor's Cave, Lud's Church, Ladybower Reservoir, Dovedale, Chee Dale, Peveril Castle to name but a few). What made our stay so lovely though was all the thoughtful extra's at the house, which really made it a home from home. There was everything we could possibly need, plus so much more. We particularly loved the decor, the enclosed garden, the comfy duvet's and the soft towels. Thank you for the welcome basket, it was lovely, and there was even a little something for the dog. My daughter's, the dog and I would happily return, as not a day went by that one of us didn't comment that we would love to live there.
