Description

Cherry Tree Cottage is a charming, semi-detached house situated in the heart of Bakewell, Derbyshire.

Conveniently located near local shops and a welcoming pub, this pet-friendly retreat offers roadside parking and serves as an ideal base for families and friends seeking a delightful countryside escape.

Beyond the doors, you'll be greeted by an inviting living/dining room, complete with a TV for your entertainment and dining seating for enjoying home-cooked meals.

You can whip up these meals in the kitchen which is equipped with everything you could need to make a casual bite or a more filling meal.

When it's time to retire for the night, choose from three inviting bedrooms; a king-size, a double, and a single, all tastefully decorated and offering a tranquil space to rest.

Servicing these rooms is a family bathroom which gives you the choice of a soak in the tub or a steamy rinse under the shower.

In the mornings, enjoy a fresh coffee out in the garden in the company of the chirping birds.

Your journey through Bakewell and its surrounds begins with the majestically timeless Chatsworth House, the home of the Duke and Duchess of Devonshire with its remarkable architecture and sumptuous art collection, and continues at the fortified medieval manor, Haddon Hall; these historic sites are filled with stories steeped in time.

Explore more of the town's history with a visit to Bakewell Old House Museum and take a leisurely stroll across the picturesque Bakewell Bridge.

Explore the remnants of the industrious age, Magpie Mine, and discover the breathtaking natural beauty of Lathkill Dale - a perfect locale for walking enthusiasts.

Lastly, cap your journey with a visit to the tranquil St Peter's Church, Edensor, for glimpses into the spiritual heritage of the region.

Food in oven. Dirty plate in cupboard. The cottage hadn't been cleaned very well. Oven dirty and the whole place needs some tlc. We won't be coming back!!!!

This is our second stay at the cottage, and once again we had a great time.

It has everything you need for a comfortable stay and is in a perfect location, within walking distance of Bakewell and its pubs and shops. It’s also a great place to stay with a dog, with a nice garden and plenty of walks right on the doorstep.

Good location, cottage was clean but very basic The rear garden was too hazardous to use, the seated raised decking was so rotten broken and dangerous you couldn’t stand on it, the fence that remained on the decking was also rotten and loose (wasn’t even upright), also the fencing had been removed from the raised wall area but the fence post brackets were still exposed, I feel that this property (garden) was not fit for rental
