Description

Slade Cottage is a delightful 17th century listed property, resting on Slade House Farm, near the rural village of Ilam in the Peak District National Park.

Surrounded by far-reaching scenic views and open countryside, it offers a true taste of tranquil, rural living and ample country walking right from the front door.

Oozing a sense of character throughout, this cottage promises a superb getaway with all of the family.

Upon entering the stone-built cottage, you are welcomed into a traditional-feel kitchen, boasting charming exposed beams and an original feature  range.

Completing the ground floor is a quaint twin bedroom, offering an en-suite, where you can soak within the relaxing bath tub after a busy day exploring the area.

Step outside  into the atmospheric private courtyard and you’ll find a peaceful setting that feels wonderfully off the beaten track, a perfect spot to unwind and recharge.

If you fancy an evening in, head upstairs to the cosy sitting room, where plush sofas sit in front of a comforting woodburning fire.

Continuing to impress is the second bedroom within the property, where you will find a spacious king-size double bedroom, with its own en-suite WC.

During the summer, you will be delighted with the garden area, where you can sit back and admire the surrounding views or enjoy a night under the clear, star-filled skies, thanks to the lack of light pollution.

We had an enjoyable short stay with our two Labrador dogs.

Good footpaths straight from the door. Nice rural setting. The lovely cake, bottle of wine, milk, coffee and tea were much appreciated after a long journey.
