The cottage was comfortable and a good base for walking and sightseeing.

We only prepared breakfast and a packed lunch in the kitchen but it did have all the things you would need should you wish to cook. The beds were comfortable and the showers were efficient. It was exceptionally quite at night which was lovely. There were a number of maps and leaflets to consult for trips. We enjoyed our stay.

We really enjoyed our stay at Rivendell.

It was a great location with a magnificent view across the valley, and a little path behind where we watched the sunrise and sunset from. The living room with the fire was really cosy, and although our plans had been to go out for dinner we generally stayed in and played games. We were pleased to discover the jigsaws and would have loved more games, books etc. Beds were really comfy and the en suite shower was great - better than my new one at home! Would recommend!!

The location of the property is excellent.

Good off road parking. The fire in the living room was great thought it was a log burner good job we read the notes. Nice warm cottage. Needs a little updating but wasn't a problem. Holmfirth is great for eating out. After eating 2 much a walk up the hill is what is needed or get an taxi for less than £4. Many thanks Gary and Judy
