Mill Bridge Cottage

Mill Bridge Cottage is a beautifully appointed cottage in the centre of Castleton, close to all amenities and with walks from the doorstep.

Parking is possible outside the cottage to drop off luggage. A parking permit for the local car park is provided by the owner, just a few minutes walk away. The small pretty garden is shared with the owners but there is outdoor seating and a summer house to use. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here and will return. Recommended.

Lovely little cottage beautifully done up with everything you need thought through and provided.

No blind on the skylight windows might be a problem for some but they are only small and it didn't affect our sleep at all. We didn't realise we were sharing the owners outside space and it was a shame there was nowhere comfortable to sit outside and enjoy the sun. There was a dishwasher which wasn't mentioned on the Sykes site and was a big bonus. The cottage is in a wonderful location, 2 minutes walk from the main road through Castleton and no need to drive anywhere for great walks, cavern visits, food or drink. All on your doorstep. Wonderful place to stay - highly recommended.

A great location in the heart of Castleton.

A very characterful old cottage and beautifully decorated. Utterly spotless and very comfortable with everything you need for a relaxing holiday in the Peak district and a delightful owner who was helpful and most personable. So impressed were we that I don't think we could have enjoyed our weekend away more! In summary, simply Marvellous! Thanks very much indeed.

Fantastic cottage in great location.

The property is lovely, well maintained, Clean and has every thing you need.

Exactly as shown in the photos. The host Brian was lovely he just stays beside and came to give us the key and show the house around. In the kitchen Brian had kept Milk, Tea and biscuits for us that was really good. The property is 5 minutes walk to the main attraction Peak Cavern. If you are visiting Peak district I would highly recommend you to stay at Mill Bridge Cottage.

This was a great cottage and the owners (who were lovely) lived next door.

Right in the heart of the village which had lovely places to eat and drink. The cottage was beautifully appointed and very comfortable. Decorated in a lovely contemporary but cosy style. My only comment would be that the listing suggests that the cottage has an open fire, which is in fact electric. However, this did not at all detract from our lovely holiday in this fabulous cottage in the most beautiful of settings.

It's rare to be able to say this but we cannot fault this property.

It was excellent and far better than any other cottages that we have stayed in in the UK and we have stayed in a lot. It was very well presented, spotlessly clean, well equipped and all of the little things had been thought about. The location was perfect, the hosts very helpful but also discreet. We had a wonderful stay and would definitely use this property again.

The owner met us and told us all we needed to know. HOWEVER YOU GAVE THE WRONG ADDRESS FOR THE PROPERTY, which made it difficult to find. The owner told us she has informed you of this before but you have not amended your records.

It's a great location, just two minutes from the bus stop and the village centre. The cottage makes excellent use of the space, and we had a very comfortable stay.

The quality of the work the owners have done to make this a comfortable and relaxing stay is exceptional.

They have really thought it through with great consideration for their visitors. It was warm and very stylish. There was plenty of space, especially in the kitchen, in what is a cosy little property. The owners little courtyard garden is lovely to look out onto and the occasional sighting of their cat a treat. The owners were very helpful and gave us some good pointers regarding the local amenities. We loved being in the cottage and because the weather was quite cold for a few days we very happily spent a bit more time in it than we might have done. A wonderful stay, we will certainly return.

Millbridge cottage is in a great locality to all shops and pubs and walks from the doorstep.

It is on a quiet road. The cottage is extremely clean, comfortable and cosy and has all facilities needed. I would definitely recommend it. The owners were most welcoming and explained how everything worked. We will be returning.

When we arrived we were given a quick and precise run down of the property. The owners live in the attached property were very welcoming and friendly, but not intrusive. The house was warm and extremely clean and well presented. Being down a lane it is reasonably quiet although its in the centre of Castleton it is only a couple of minutes walk away from a multitude of good eating venues. Whether its breakfast, an evening meal, or a mid-day snack you are looking for, you'll find them all. It is also a good base if you like walking.

Millbridge Cottage is beautiful!

A quaint 309 year old property, refurbished to the highest standards - bright, sorry and very comfortable. In an excellent location for all of the amenities of Castleton, with excellent walking from the doorstep. We’ll be sure to return!

This is a lovely cottage just off the main road through the town but quiet.

High quality through out with the added facility of the summerhouse. Really enjoyed our time here. Would definitely recommend, would not hesitate to return.
