  • "A mixed bag, I will list the positives and negatives below: 1) The information on the website was incorrect so we were booked into a caravan that wasn't suited to our needs."

On phoning the owner (lady), we received a very positive and kind response up grading us to a lovely caravan. 2) The site is small and quite. Perfect for us and the caravan comfortable and spacious. Location is perfect for visiting attractions in Shropshire. Until the day before we were to leave we would have provided a five star review and booked again for later in the year however what transpired reversed this and gave us great cause for concern. 3) On two occasions out co2 detector was triggered. The first occasion we spoke to the lady we had spoken to before. She was lovely, responsive and assured that the problem would be investigated, and a new co2 detector fitted. On returning to the caravan later we got in touch again and were told that everything was sorted. It was an out of date detector and it has been replaced with another one and a brand new one would be put in the next day. She was great and allayed our fears. 4) The co2 detector triggers again. The man (ladies husband) arrives this time and confirms that there is co2 in the van and that the detector had been changed. Turns out that he has changed the wrong one and therefore we were left at risk. He confirmed that the boiler had been checked a few days earlier however there was co2 coming from somewhere. We left him to investigate and find a solution while we were out. On returning to the van later in the day. We checked with the man about the cO2 situation. He had fitted new detectors but had no solution for the cO2 in the van other than asking if we were vegetarian! (We are not, not that this is important). He said there was a problem six year ago with people in a cottage cooking beans creating co2. We explained that beans do not do this. ( Only if they are roasted or burnt, not that this was relevant in this case). He had no interest that their guests were at risk as said that if we didn't like his explanation that we could leave. We left as we were due to leave the next day and we were not prepared to put our family at risk even if he was We are now a home enjoying it's comforts. Such a shame because everything was great until the man was indifferent about safety. We explored him not to put anyone else on the van until it was sorted out but we have no faith that this was heard.

Thank you for your feedback. I take all guest concerns seriously and acted quickly to have the property professionally assessed. A qualified engineer confirmed there was no gas leak, and the issue was isolated to the detector itself. This has since been addressed and resolved. Guest safety is always a top priority, and I’m grateful for the chance to double-check everything and ensure the property remains safe and welcoming for all future stays. Property Owner

  • "Total relaxation on this lovely quiet site deep in the lovey Shropshire countryside, yet only 5 miles from Much Wenlock and about 8 to Church Stretton, both unspoilt little towns."

The caravans are nicely spaced out and mine was immaculate. There is a little farm shop just along from the caravans and everything is catered for, milk, eggs, all kind of snacks and tasteful gifts. I certainly hope to return,
