This immaculately-presented stable has everything you need for the perfect relaxing break with sumptuous beds, a stunning bathroom and an attractive open plan living area with views across open fields to the distinctive Wrekin hill landmark beyond.

Entering through French doors into the attractive living area you are immediately struck by the quality and comfort the stable has to offer.

To one side there is a cosy seating area with plush sofas, high ceilings and exposed beams, perfectly complemented by the views to open countryside.

To the other side you will find a beautiful and extremely well-equipped kitchen.

The two double bedrooms have been carefully and thoughtfully prepared to ensure a comfortable stay for guests.

The stable also boasts a delightful bathroom consisting of a large bath for a long soak after a day’s exertions and a top quality spacious shower.

Outside there is plenty of space for children to let off steam in the open field in which the stable is set and adults are spoilt for choice with two seating areas; equipped with ample seating, tables and chairs as well as loungers and benches thoughtfully positioned within the setting, you will be perfectly placed to enjoy the view and soak up some sunshine whilst enjoying a refreshing drink.

Cycling, walking, sightseeing and birdwatching (visiting swans can be seen from the property during the winter months) amidst the beautiful unspoilt countryside are all available.

Visit one of the many interesting museums such as Acton Scott Working Farm, the Ironbridge museums including Blists Hill Victorian Town or admire the splendour of days gone by at National Trust properties like Atcham and Attingham Park just outside Shrewsbury.

The medieval county town of Shrewsbury has independent shops, restaurants, interesting architecture and boat trips on the River Severn.

You may prefer the bustling atmosphere of the weekly markets in historic Ludlow, renowned for its food festivals or discover the lovely Bridgenorth with it's cliff top railway.

A trip on the Severn Valley Railway is always popular or further afield, near Bewdley, children and adults alike will be thrilled by the Safari Park and Alton Towers is also just over an hour's drive away.

If it’s breathtaking scenery you crave then you will not be disappointed by a journey across The Long Mynd or a gently climbing walk up Carding Mill Valley, near Church Stretton.

All in all, this stable is an excellent base for discovering the historical and geographical delights of Shropshire and beyond and it is the perfect retreat for a romantic break, exhilarating walking or cycling adventure or family holiday at any time of the year to discover Shropshire's enchanting rural beauty.

I only live down the road from 'The Stables', but I was having work done on my home and needed somewhere else to stay.

After searching I was lucky enough to find this property and I'm so pleased I did. It's four miles from my home, but it could have been four hundred. It's so peaceful, cosy and lovely, extremely well equipped, spotless and comfortable and it's owner Mick was so welcoming and kind. I came away feeling rested and relaxed. I can definitely recommend it.

The Stables is a beautiful well equipped cottage set in a peaceful location.

We loved sitting on the patio watching the wildlife and our dogs having the freedom to run around the field. The owner was friendly and looked after us very well, look forward to returning soon.

Fabulous stay.

This is our 3rd time and we have already booked two more stays for next year. Lovely, peaceful, light and airy and Mick is an excellent host - friendly and helpful, but not intrusive. We can imagine returning year after year.
