Wow such an amazing holiday.
The Cowsheds were perfect for a large group to get together. The animals made us all laugh and we spent most of the time being entertained by them. Our dog fell in love with the Alpacs which came in to the field next to the garden. Was lovely to relax in the hot tub and watch the alpacas and horses. The owners were really friendly and helpful. Would definitely recommend this place for anyone who likes walking and animals. None of us wanted to leave such a great break away.
We were 10 people - my wife and I, our two children with their spouses and our 4 beautiful granddaughters aged between nearly 2 and 8.
The Old Cowsheds were the perfect accommodation and location for our long weekend in the late summer sun. Owners Steve and Zöe were great - happy to chat but left us to get on with our holiday. The properties are modern and tastefully decorated and absolutely fully equipped with everything you could possibly need, plus of course the superb hot tub. Our grandchildren were thrilled to have the freedom to be outdoors without having to be constantly monitored, and were very interested in the variety of animals at the farm. The quiet beautiful valley is deep in the Peak District countryside but bustling Matlock and Bakewell, and stunning Chatsworth House are only a short journey away. I would certainly recommend these properties.
We all loved our stay here.
We booked both barns as we had a large(ish) group. The buildings are lovely and there is lots of space around, especially with three hot tub, and pergola seating. The animals on site are great as well, horses, chickens, dogs (especially the 4 week old puppies) and the lovely alpacas. Steve and Zoe are great hosts, always happy to chat and also great at leaving you be. The ice cream recommendation was great as well.
