What guests are saying
When we arrived the cottage had not been serviced.
However following a phone call to the owner this was resolved within the hour. The cottage was clean and had comfortable beds. However the cottage looks in need of some fresh decoration. The hot tub filter also needs some attention. Pleasant stay overall.
Needs a face-lift!
. Damp on internal walls and ceilings. Walls in living room really dirty. Food stuffs left in cupboards. Stains on carpets and upholstery. Leaks in bathroom and temperature adjustment doesn't seem to work on shower. Hot tub was dirty with lots of stuff in the filter, came back with hot tub rash from it - it really is a thing!, only used once so spoiled the weekend. General lack of maintenance inside and out. Disgusting for what we paid - a refund of some sort would be in order.
We struggled to locate the cottage at first - the directions weren’t too straightforward and there’s also a Woodbine Cottage in the neighbouring village which a nice lady amusingly directed us to!
The cottage was comfortable and served our needs. We needed to wipe the edges of the hot tub before use and fish out debris (the cushion pads are disintegrating bits into the water) There also needs to be some directions regarding the bins as we didn’t know how to recycle etc. Overall for the price and our needs for attending an event in the area - it was what we needed so we were happy.
