What guests are saying
We really liked this cottage.
It was clean and comfortable. We had no problem finding the cottage and the gate was easy to operate on arrival, after that we used the fob attached to the house key to open and close the gate. Thank you for a lovely stay.
The house is in a lovely location and spacious, with plenty of room for 7 adults, 1 child and 2 dogs!
It was very clean on arrival. We all found it quite tricky to find - the gate looks like it goes to a construction site but in fact leads down a lane to the cottage - watch out for pot holes. Some of the decor is quite dated upstairs but was reasonably priced on Sykes.
The accommodation was well situated with lovely walks available from the doorstep.
We benefitted from the ratio of bathrooms to guests and the constant supply of hot water. The downside was the fact we had 4 cars as we’d travelled from different locations and the security gate code didn’t work at any point through our stay. This meant we were all subject to relatively long waits trying to gain access and on several occasions, no one was attending the intercom so we had to call other property owners to let us in. The directions to the property need better explanation as we all failed to get to the location on first attempt. Finally, whilst the bedding covers were clean, the pillows and mattresses were heavily stained and there were no protectors on them. This alone would mean I would rebook this accommodation.
