The garden is a small garden within the owners garden.

The cottage is situated on a quiet lane on the outskirts of Knowbury Village.

The sitting room is full of character and boasts feature stone walls, exposed timbers and an inglenook fireplace with woodburner, perfect for relaxing round on a chilly evening.

The dining area has French doors overlooking the owner’s walled garden, part of which is for guests use.

Upstairs there is a bathroom and two delightful bedrooms with mellow stone walls and low beams.

Outside to the front, there is a pretty cobbled courtyard garden, a perfect spot for a morning coffee whilst you plan your day’s activities or a relax under the apple tree in the walled garden for an evening drink after exploring the local area.

If you love walking, the Shropshire way and several other footpaths with beautiful views are yards from the Coach House front door and the village pub is a short walk into the village of Knowbury.

Further afield you are spoilt for choice with Brown Clee Hill, Mortimer Forest, the Long Mynd and The Stiperstones.

Ludlow, with its 11th century castle, riverside walks, excellent tea rooms, shops, brewery, racecourse, weekly markets, restaurants and pubs is just four miles away and a visit to the Food Centre on the outskirts of this fascinating town is a must.

The cottage is adjacent to the Shropshire Way - a real bonus for walkers.

The nearby Bennetts End Inn pub is a pleasant 25 min walk downhill. The pub sells good ale and very decent food - so worth a visit. The walking around this area is also interesting and varied - Clee Hill is a must. The cottage was very comfortable and our little dog loved the enclosed rear garden and all the local walks along the Shropshire Way. Our hosts - Octavia and James were charming and very helpful with local knowledge and it is obvious how much hard work they have undertaken on the cottage. As relatively small folk, we had no problems with the low beams in the cottage. Its history is interesting and it adds to the cottage's overall attractiveness. In sum, would thoroughly recommend this cottage to anyone wishing to be near to the Shropshire Way walking routes but also close to Ludlow with its excellent facilities. Would like to return again as this cottage and the area has much to offer. Harry and Wendy

Just back from a lovely few days in the Coach House and we are feeling so relaxed and our batteries are definitely re-charged.

The views on the local walks are spectacular, this location has some of the most breathtaking scenery we have experienced whilst doggy walking. The facilities in the cottage were good, although as some have mentioned, showering was a bit of a challenge for three 70 year olds ! The back garden was adequate for a morning coffee, but we felt the patio would benefit from a jet wash to make it more pleasant, although the sunrises were outstanding and certainly made up for the rustic area. The coach house is adjoined to the owners’ home, but we did not feel that this was an issue, and in fact, it was quite beneficial when we accidentally locked ourselves out ! The configuration of the living space did not suit our needs, but we re-arranged the furniture, as we often do when we rent a holiday home, we acknowledge that each person’s needs are different, but it was no issue adapting the space and we returned it to its original before we vacated the property. The kitchenware was more than adequate and in fact we were grateful of the blitzer to blend the soup we had made. A really lovely little cottage, that benefits from a wonderful location, I’m sure anyone who reserved this cottage will find it as enjoyable as we did! Try to visit the local pub Bennets End, food was lovely, staff were fab and the views were amazing!
